Power to you @EleanorRigbysNeice - sometimes you do need to go bold

Well done @woodhill !!

But @FiveShelties if you liked the serum what does it matter?

I have two empties this morning:
-Akin lemongrass shampoo for normal to oily hair - deals well with my oily roots... not so great on my dry ends 😜

  • Molton Brown gingerlily hand cream 40mls (part of a trio of this scent which is on my Disciples list) - not as heavily scented as the shower gel for example... maybe cos it is only gingerlily and not heavenly also? Confused

Gosh I had better shake a leg - taxi will be here soon and I am not even dressed!

Five are you sure 'for young skin' didn't mean that's what the serum would help you achieve?

plumstone · 31/03/2017 11:02

Hi Miny - I have dabbled in the ocean that is retinol!! Tried the Ordinary 5% I think thats what is was - to be honest I don't see a difference, however I am all over a glycolic acid - pix or nip and fab.

Also the Clinique Vit C is proving awesome - two days in and my skin is loving it - my boss actually told me I was looking very "pretty" he then apologised for being inappropriate in the work place - bless!!

I know some would go off on one for a comment like that - me, well I'll take it and just said thank you!!!! To be fair even I was a bit ooh nice at my skin this morning, and only using concealer and some blusher!!!

Re empties - Cetaphil is done finally this morning, so will be replaced at lunch time!!!

plumstone · 31/03/2017 11:03

Sorry - that should be Mint not Miny and its Pixi glow tonic not pix!!!!!!!

I may be "pretty" but my typing is SH*t!!

littlepooch · 31/03/2017 11:54

Oooh I'm interested in the clinique vitamin c stuff! Sounds good!

Some good empties lists - well done all. I finished a dove shower gel this morning and have shopped my stash and gone back to my trustee aveeno body wash. Hoping to finish a few other bits this weekend...fingers crossed!

Can anyone recommend a good nourishing shampoo/conditioner? My hair is very thick and dry and wavy and since being pregnant it is even more dry and bouffy and just out of control. I feel like I've tried every range in boots and perhaps it's time to move onto a pricier range?

pasturesgreen · 31/03/2017 17:13

Can I join please? My name is pastures and I'm very much ashamed of my beauty product hoard.

I felt the lure of a beauty counter in my break yesterday and ended up with a shiny new Clinique vitamin C thingy (tried it today, looks promising btw!), Estee Lauder eye mask (single pack, thank the beauty gods Blush tried last night and done with it, not impressed for the price) and quite a few other bits.

Have totted up how much I spent on beauty products since January and it's in excess of £300 Shock I knew it was a lot but seeing it written down was really a shock!

I probably have enough makeup and toiletries to last me till well into 2018, what I need now is motivation. And possibly Gin

IPokeBadgers · 31/03/2017 18:31

Finished a Rituals shower foam...one of several I have. The limited Rituals of Light one....lovely warm wintery fragrance. Happy to be done with and moving on to one of the more spring like scents.

IPokeBadgers · 31/03/2017 18:32

Oh and of course, warm welcome to pasturesgreen ☺

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 31/03/2017 19:54

Welcome pasturesgreen. You are among friends!
I'm doing so much better since I joined this thread so there is hope. And I'm debulking the rest of my stuff too. Finishing cleaning products and rethinking clothing spends too.
Although did manage to spend £250 in Zara on a pre-birthday splurge. Very lovely coat, shirt, dress, top, trainers and perfume. Happy birthday me for Monday! (Maybe not best example of my frugality!)

badgers love moving onto summer fragrances. Bliss!

Underastormysky2 · 31/03/2017 21:25

Hello just found you and can't believe I am not alone. It's a revelation thank you xx
I have to confess I have never used up a lipstick!

kwick · 01/04/2017 10:25

Haha @plumstone !!! will try to resist buying the Clinqiue stuff for now

Welcome @pasturesgreen !!!

Another it is your birthday and you are worth it!!! 🎊

Welcome @Underastormysky2 !!!

So I have used up Lush Reindeer Rock soap - loved the design and smell. Have enough soap in stash to last many a year...

Another empty....an M&S Rosie for Autograph Summer Rose perfume. I love this and have another bottle in reserve.....unfortunately it has shag all staying power but because I generally only buy anything from marks when there is a special offer it works out quite cheap, so I spray and respray with enthusiasm!

EleanorRigbysNeice · 01/04/2017 17:27

Clarins under eye concealer. Have another in waiting. Third tube. Rare for me to buy the same product over and over bit, it IS good stuff 😊

SelenaValentina · 01/04/2017 17:31

Oh I love this thread. But ... I'll never, ever, ever use all the samples, trials, full-size stuff so there is no point making a list to finish, good idea as it is, I'd still be ploughing through in 2020.

Please can someone tell/convince me that it will all have gone off and therefore needs to be binned otherwise I'll turn into a wizened, old, green-faced hag? Whoops, already am old - OK, older.

I have several hair oils that were neither use nor ornament so why are they still there? What were they supposed to solve on my fine, short, bleached hair?

mintmagnummm · 01/04/2017 18:18

I know this thread is all about what products you have used up etc but out of all these products what are all of ur must have repurchase products that u will never stray from?

woodhill · 01/04/2017 21:00

Yes, I have the Clarins under eye concealer. Found it goes on better with a brush.

DragonNoodleCake · 01/04/2017 22:55

Hello all the newbies...

Ladies I have a confession, I have sinned, anAvon order was delivered today.
Cream to powder foundation (they do a new super light shade I had to try) as a handbag saviour
Creamy eyeshadow pot in platinum
Lipstick crayon - red of course (can't remember the shade name)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/04/2017 23:24

Five there's a range in Superdrugs that I sometimes pick up , they do the 20s/30s/40s/50s selection.
I'm 50 and no way do I want the heavy claggy "50" range on my skin.
I go for 30s Wink

Finished up:
Waitrose showergel (will buy again. I bought 3 , like the Lime&Basil best)
OGX Shampoo and Conditioner (blue one) now started on the Bamboo one (smells lovely)
Bodyshop Almond and Honey soap. OK for £4 but not a repurchase

Iris65 · 02/04/2017 08:38

Signing up too. Just finished a bottle of Eau Thermale body lotion and dying to replace it despite having several bottles of less nice stuff!

ememem84 · 02/04/2017 09:19

Finished - l'occitaine lemon verbena shower gel (hotel toiletry size) and a clarins body scrub.

Dh and I emptied the spares boxes yesterday. Shocked at what we found. We shall save money by using it all up. We shall.

How did we accumulate 12 toothpastes??? - well I know how bloody boots and their threefas. I see them on offer and buy thinking we will use them so it's ok. Same with deodourant. Have a shit ton of boots points though. Almost £70 so this will be useful when baby comes along.

northerngirl71 · 02/04/2017 10:14

Joining for this challenge - have just stocked up on bathroom stuff for the fam which should last a while and need to finish all my pots of face cream .
Currently using Oils if Life Body Shop oil which is amazing ! So have asked for another for my birthday .
Do NOT need to buy anymore makeup for a good long while .. maybe if I can get to end of may being very good I'll treat myself to a new lippy!

littlepooch · 02/04/2017 11:41

Hello everyone. Lots or good work on the empties I see!!

I have finished a Vaseline cocoa spray moisturiser. It's been lurking in our bathroom for ages so been on a mission to finish it. I actually liked it. It's not super moisturizing but it's great for days when I need something really quick that absorbs really fast. I would buy it again when I've got through the rest of my body lotions in the stash....sigh

Tubbybells · 02/04/2017 12:12

Yay - so many empties - well done.
Saving mine up to look like I'm making good progress

  1. Elemis- flash balm 15 ml, ended up loving it - felt a bit meh when I started
  2. Tub of hand cream received as a present
  3. Elemis - frangipani body oil- nice
4.origins night health sample - useless
  1. Origins ginzing eye brightening cream - love it.
  2. Clinique- take the day off balm - lovely

May repurchase the eye cream and balm but not for a fair while. Loads to go at in stash

Tubbybells · 02/04/2017 12:24

Oops

  1. Yes to cucumbers face wash. - ok usually use balm/ hot cloth but sometimes like a wash - in the shower or pre mask- only purchased this before Christmas but with the amount of masks/ peels I've used it's got used up quite quickly. I'll have to see if I have a another wash in the stash
woodhill · 02/04/2017 13:09

DH is definitely making a start on our new bathroom so I need to use up the stuff in vanity cabinet. I do intend to replace he storage. Ongoing project so excited.
