frugal I did Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam last week - does that count?

So I have had the mother of all days - without boring you with details, I have managed to rupture my calf muscle and am on crutches. FFS.
My arms are killing me... think I need a hot bath... but do I risk it?

kwick · 13/03/2017 21:17

WOW @usernameinfinito!!! Is that all in one go?!!!!
With the Dr Organics lavender - how strong/nice is the smell?

OP posts:
usernameinfinito · 13/03/2017 22:59

Hi @kwick!

It's a nice soft lavender scent. I would re buy if I did not have any shower gel (or soap bars) left in my drawer. My favourite Dr Organic scents are lavender, rose and manuka honey.
I finished all in one go Smile
I am taking longer to finish make up, but having seen now how long it takes to actually finish it I am not buying more. This thread made me realise how much unnecessary stuff I keep at home, since I started posting I have been doing clear outs at home and also feeling joy at using up products. Apologies if this does not make sense, I am not particularly eloquent tonight because I am feeling tired.

DragonNoodleCake · 13/03/2017 23:33

Aaah Free that is one I recommend often. My daily one is All Soft, and I use the cleansing cream about once a week if I've been using a lot of product or if I'm toning my hair

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 14/03/2017 09:35

free sounds good that shampoo. Onto list it goes!
Yes I too love refinding make up but being more strict too. ALL products that don't last are going. Life is too busy to reapply anything bar lipstick every few hours I reckon. Binning an eye shadow palette from Superdrug tonight (well giving to teen girl who loves experimenting!)
Wow wow username. Awe!

Tubbybells · 14/03/2017 19:36

Wow infinito- well done

More empties

  1. Soap and glory 500 ml pump - ok but got more than fed up with it.
  2. Champneys 75 ml hand scrub - full of nasties but ok post gardening
  3. Decleor neroli serum sample
  4. Decleor aroma night both lovely but onwards with the stash. puts on the shortlist
  5. Benefit porefessional - may repurchase but got some others to go at

Got some other bits with dregs will report back on those.

Been hoiking out some older bits of makeup. Refound my smashbox primer, bb cream and halo. Got it in a try me kit - staggered at the price of the full size so may hold off using them for now. oh how I wish I still had that kind of money to burn

kwick · 14/03/2017 20:28

Very impressive Tubbybells

I have to pester Superdrug through Instagram to create more items in their Vitamin E range and remove fertility nasty cyclopentasiloxane from existing range Grin

I am celebrating that I hit pan (light pink) yesterday... but seriously this pallete just keeps going!!!

mintmagnummm · 15/03/2017 11:07

Kwick I've been looking for a bb cream or something similar without that cyclo whatever shit ingredient in it but I can't find anything! I'm getting really pissed off now I just cannot find a base I like and my skin is going crazy because I keep trying different things grrrrrr! I just want a nice tint with some coverage, no fragrance and no bloody shine or residue!!! I just want something to melt into my skin leaving just a nice even 'dry touch' tint!! Any ideas??

usernameinfinito · 15/03/2017 14:23

I have sinned. I bought a barry m molten metal nail polish in copper. Needed a pick me up as I had a bad week.

kwick · 15/03/2017 17:06

user say 3 Hail Marys Grin if you call that sinning you ain't seen nothing yet. Hope your week picks up Flowers

mint The Body Shop so a bb cream that is cyclo less, no SPF though. It is hard though - the ingredient itself is fab - makes everything feel smooth (hence why it is in most primers) but it just screws up your fertility.

On way home in taxi - shattered. Getting about on crutches really is tiring!!!

OP posts:
mintmagnummm · 15/03/2017 17:31

Kwick thanks I'll check it out. I'm not worried about the fertility bit (I think that's aload of old bull tbh and I've had ivf and got a son from it) but it breaks me out! I always get loads of tiny whiteheads that can literally be scratched off!

FrustratedFrugal · 15/03/2017 20:19

Usernameinfinito after your mega using up session you are allowed to stray a little. Copper nail polish sounds amazing

Kwick Shock amazing work with that palette - which one is it? And your multi city tour sounds pretty intense too. Hope you'll have a relaxing weekend soon!

I'm still really busy. Spent three hours at hairdresser's today. Highlights freshened up for spring, I'm a bit blonder now and that makes me feel more lighthearted.

FrustratedFrugal · 15/03/2017 20:20

Oh and so sorry about your accident Kwick Sad

Sending lots of soothing, healing vibes your way!

FrustratedFrugal · 15/03/2017 20:49

Oh and thanks for reminding me to catch up on Kimberly Clark videos.
I love her - and I don't need sidewalk chalk on my eyelids Wink

plumstone · 16/03/2017 09:21

Well - finished a small travel pot of body lotion this morning. In a fit of organisation I had decanted Palmers coconut body lotion into it to travel with - The smell is foul and I have slowly finished it only using from the waist down!!!! So that is done - and hopefully a deodorant will be done tomorrow - then its on to the last "spare" in my never ending box!!!!!!

The plus of all this is my skin is lovely and soft due to the liberal use of body lotion every day - going forward I think it will be an Aveeno one I stick to - finished a bottle in Jan and promised myself I would use everything else up before repurchasing.

Makeup wise - reckon the Chanel CC cream will be done by the weekend - probably have to cut the tube tomorrow - so glad - its fine but nothing outstanding and won't purchase again. After that its Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser and BB cream to work my way through!!! This is never bloody ending!!!

CantChoose · 16/03/2017 09:46

Gosh everyone is doing so well!!
Whoever said about the soap and glory, I have finally near the end of my orangegasm shower gel, I'm so very, very bored of it! Def only buying small bottles from now on.

I've finished a small m&s body lotion. Smooth and sexy I think it was called. It was especially either of those things but t did the job. I think it's discontinued but I wouldn't repurchase anyway. I've moved on to a joules body butter in a jar which is quite nice and the accompanying scrub is a delight after my previous horrid one. (It's from one of those gift sets, I've shoved the rest under my bed to deal with later Blush)

CantChoose · 16/03/2017 09:47

Just reread my message, sorry for the typos. I must concentrate more. I promise I'm not drunk...

ememem84 · 16/03/2017 10:53

Fell off the thread for a bit. No new empties to report. Although I still haven't started my new clarins cleanser. I've been using dhs while in the shower....

bluuue · 16/03/2017 11:04

Ooh I'd like to join in!
The past couple of weeks I've been working on using up some of my hoard! So in 2 weeks my empties are...
Mua matte primer
L'Oréal infalliable matte primer
L'Oréal infalliable matte foundation
Rimmel lasting perfection foundation
Simple oil balancing moisturiser
Nip&Fab glycolic fix cleansing pads

Not replacing any of it because I've still got a lot to work through!

applesandpears33 · 16/03/2017 14:39

Another empty - Joules shower gel. It's not exciting, but I have enough soap and shower gel to last me for about 18 months, so every one counts!

kwick · 16/03/2017 18:58

frustrated it is a Chanel pallete I got about 10 years ago so progress is very slow... although I only started to use again after joining this inspirational thread.

Welcome @bluuue !!!

I had a bit of a spree with household products earlier... I have addiction issues there too Blush

FrustratedFrugal · 16/03/2017 20:07

Bluuue welcome, what an impressive start!

Kwick I thought it was a Chanel palette, fantastic colors.

I've had a fab day. I love my group at work, I gave a talk and we celebrated a milestone with a raw vegan cheesecake and champagne and it felt lovely. Rushed home, made onigiri with DC, painted my toenails, watched a great travel documentary - so relaxing. I've felt overworked and stressed out, but right now everything feels alright.

woodhill · 16/03/2017 20:18

Are you watching the BBC now on spending with the beautician. Wonder if she's on this thread
