Glad you had a good day frustrated

My calf issue is giving me the chance to use up a tub of "China Gel" which went out of date in 2015 Blush it is like the opposite of deep heat... ice cold.

I have an empty:

  • Molton Brown 100ml vitalising vitamin AB+C bath & shower - not my fav smell but nice all the same. No more MB in stash, but lots of others.

Much as I like a paired back streamlined look I also like variety... what to do?

Good for you frugal sounds lovely. Aiming for similar tomorrow on day off.
Get well soon vibes kwick

cant I hear you with big bottles. Yawn!

Good work everyone. None from me. Stupid eye still not better so no eye make-up for 3 months now. Not helping hoard!

Hi blu bring out your empties and all together (ala Kimberley Clark) "not I'm not gonna buy".

mint I love Superdrug bb cream from their b range but sorry no idea about ingredients.

kwick · 17/03/2017 05:50

That is terrible Another that your eye is still not better Flowers

OooWood what program is that?

I managed to finally use a £10 off voucher for Look Fantastic - but had to call them as it just would not work online. Got a Phyto shampoo (oily hair), Korres eye cream and Decleor lip balm Blush
Still have Feel Unique codes to use.

Always nice to start the day with an unexpected empty:

  • Loreal Elvive extraordinary clay masque - best product from the range, may repurchase but first going to try more shampoos for oily hair

Kwik shop well for less

plumstone · 17/03/2017 09:55

This morning finished the Radox moisturising shower gel - and finally on to the l'occitane almond foaming shower oil - love this but don't feel the price is justifiable for essentially being sent down the plug hole - really need to find a shower gel I like and not get bored of - i.e. buy one then use half and then buy another - which is how I got into this mess in the first place!!!!!

Tomorrow is exciting as I will get to cut the l'oreal body lotion I am using - always feel this signifies only a couple of days left and I can bin it!!!! Have a great Friday all!

kwick · 17/03/2017 10:07

Got it! Thanks wood!! Very interesting. Cannot stand Alex Jones though 😬

Whattodowithaminute · 17/03/2017 15:11

Loccitane and an elemis body moisturiser travel sized finished today; so many more where they came from though....!

applesandpears33 · 18/03/2017 07:55

Another empty - Burts Bees hand balm with verbena. I really liked this and will repurchase once I have used up some more of the stuff in the hoard. I reckon I must have at least four unopened hand creams.

kwick · 18/03/2017 07:59

So just ruined perfectly decent eye make-up application with Rimmel volume colourist black mascara which has gone all gloopy. It is rather old - so it is going in the bin! One of my 12 disciples.
Just went into stash to find only mascara there (well except for a clear one) and realised I will never had to buy an eyeshadow again - have sooooooooo many palletes and quads and the like 😬

Did succumb to Clarins gift yesterday. Do like their products and bought another cleanser.

Frazzled yesterday as had to prepare a family celebration meal at short notice and had other commitments in the day but great evening.

Tubbybells · 18/03/2017 12:04

Owwww kwick hope the leg gets better soon

More empties

  1. 5ml Elemis pro collagen eye renewal - nothing special
  2. 7ml Aveda face scrub - too scratchy - didn't cut open
  3. Full size sanctuary 2day shower oil - had very little left
  4. 355 ml ors curls unleashed shampoo - well decanted into the other full size ( bought at the same time) - still counts though?
  5. Perfume with meh m&s calendar
  6. 30ml pure Stella perfume - should have been on previous list

Inspired by quick - working through a Clinique pallet - using the darker shades for eyeliner and eyebrows.

Nearly finished Elemis flash balm - thought it was a bit meh but loving it now I'm nearer the end.

Failed on the nillus spendus again - got the beauty box from m&s things bought are for DM and DMIL.

kwick · 18/03/2017 17:20

Well done Tubby!! Was that the Stella McCartney perfume in a purplish bottle? Love that ❤️
Feel honoured to be an inspiration Blush

Have been seriously AWOL for a week. Have been feeling a bit crap and guilty about going back to work and sending DD to nursery so have had to haul my head out of my arse and pull myself together.

The benefit of going back to work is that I am ploughing through makeup.

Empties this week :

Avon Premier Luxe Blush Perfume
Maybeline Dream Illuminator
Elnette Hairspray (a huge HUGE can)

The stash is slowly shrinking...

FrustratedFrugal · 18/03/2017 21:08

MrsD that sounds tough, hope everything will feel easier soon!

I've also shopped to feel better - it's been a busy week and I spent some time shopping with DC last night and bought myself a lipstick from &Other Stories and a jacket from Zara plus some stuff for DC. I don't need anything but as you know shopping serves so many other functions...

No empties

AlfaMummy · 18/03/2017 21:25

I've also been AWOL for a week or so, yet I only have one empty to report... my Liz Earle Superskin face oil. I've been using this at night and have been really impressed. I've got a small L'Occitane oil to use next, then will do some research before purchasing my next oil.

I had a look through my product stash yesterday and I honestly have sooooo much, endless Elemis, Liz Earle and L'Occitane body and shower products. And as for my eyeshadow addiction.... I'm 35 and I honestly believe I could get to 70 without needing to buy another... Nail polish... I remember my husband once offering to set up all my polishes on a table, just like a shelf in a shop, so I could 'go shopping' - but for free!!

woodhill · 19/03/2017 12:56

Used up a small body lotion today.

The make up is more challenging especially eye shadows.

user1467976192 · 19/03/2017 12:57

I got free make up yesterday. Thank you Amazon sellers for sending the wrong eyeshadow and sending a replacement

kwick · 19/03/2017 16:16

mrsd you are very brave Halo

My leg did not find it amusing all the walking/hopping I made it do yesterday - I now have bruises and pain 🤕

Yes kwick and alfa officially eyeshadow never ends!
I found a really old palette in my husband's car (!). Saw that back in the day (prob 2005), I actually finished shadows but now I just buy so many that I never hit pan. Maybe I should blame a more stressful life or perhaps vlogging/ beauty culture has changed. Anyway my current eye issues mean I'm getting nowhere with finishing them although a cheapo waterproof mascara applied with single use wands has at least got me back to some eye definition. It also looks like I may need an operation to open up my tear ducts so something to look forward to! Confused
But on finishing stuff front: 2 more from Easter stash have gone. Red musk perfume (great scent but gone in 10mins so wouldn't bother again) and the body shop facial oil (lovely. Would buy again).

So onwards with Sunday night chores. And maybe a wee Wine.

kwick · 19/03/2017 20:39

Ouch Another! Do you have "dry eye"?

OP posts:
Whattodowithaminute · 20/03/2017 07:49

REN frankincense night cream finished at last feels like this one has been going forever... have had some fun this weekend sorting out a selection of minis to take on holiday in April; potential to use up quite a few sample sizes. During the sort it became apparent however how bad the hoard remains despite the good work so far this year!

Eliza22 · 20/03/2017 08:54

Have had a huge "sort". Binned some stuff I just haven't the heart to use because it's basically over-hyped rubbish (for me, at least). Consigned to the bin were....
Maybelline Dream Matte Foundation....like glue. Orange glue.
No7 Mascara...scratchy brush that made my eyes water on application.
Lancôme foundation...goes on lovely but changes colour after an hour or so. And, can't stand the smell.
A NYX brow pencil. Described as Taupe but very ginger on me. There was no tested available so, took a chance. Binned.
Re-utilised....
My son's Green People after sun cream. Used on my hands and feet has made my nails stronger 👍 and is sorting out the dry skin on my heels nicely.
Clinique Scrub Cream...too gloopy/grainy for face. Using it again, on hands and feet.

My son's Green People High SPF (had it a while so, not sure how effective it still is) in the car to slather on when out in feilds, yomping with the dog. Very gloopy stuff but sinks in well and feels protective.

Have made a spare makeup kit out of stuff I don't like much (but didn't want to bin) for my car for "emergencies". Am often in need of a bit of face (unexpectedly) on occasions when I've left the house with a slick of spf. So, always have something to hand, if needs be.

plumstone · 20/03/2017 09:38

Finished last of the L'oreal body lotion - and now on to some weird smelling stuff from a gift set that I have no clue the name of - its that old!!!!!

Also finished the last of my travel toothpastes so get to buy a new shiny normal sized tube today. And my pix Glow pads!! - now on to the travel spray bottle of the same. Seems I spend more money on travel sized stuff than normal sized - something I am trying to address!!

Due to an unexpected spot on my chin the size of Mount Olympus, I am also working my way through my Clinique Acne gel!!! Think it has been caused my the heavy handed nightly application of Bio Oil instead of a night cream - note to self to keep the Bio Oil below the neck!!!

Eliza22 · 20/03/2017 11:21

I forgot to say, am finishing up and trying not to repurchase anything tested on animals. So, that's some of my favourite Lloreal lippies/hair stuff and Garnier (owned by Lloreal) stuff. Have no idea what will replace my Summer Body by Garnier. It'll be much missed but am at least, making an effort.
