Hi, what does everyone think of the hush new season? I've ordered a few bits to try, a couple of their basic raglan l/s tops, the dungarees (not sure!) and the lightening bolt dress and shirt, just wondered if anyone else had had a look yet? Smile

Well I have given in to temptation
Ordered the cloud T, and Ombré sweatshirt. (Both in stock)
Ordered the boyfriend Jeans in an 8 ( I am an 8) hope they are not too big ( 5-6 weeks wait)
Ordered the star top ( a week wait)
Fingers crossed it all fits.

miffy2 · 03/03/2017 21:24

I too caved on the last day of the promotion. I am still waiting for my order as it contains the striped boat neck jumper (on pre-order) in black.

I ordered that jumper, the Stella jumper in grey/navy, Piper dress in black (disappointed to see the white is very see through), Holly cropped jeans in blue, the black stretch crop slim trs and the Tara short sleeve dress in black.

Way too much black for this time of year though. I reckon a few (at least) of the items will go back. I appreciate all the feedback from those of you who have ordered already.

The one thing I don't like about Hush (other than the balling up of the heavier knits...essential jumper I am looking at you) is that the stuff sells out quite early after the season releases and then that is it. Unless you stalk the site for returns - been there, done that.

missfliss · 03/03/2017 21:27

A Fitzgerald jacket has fallen into my basket...oops

Bluntness100 · 03/03/2017 21:32

I have to say I really liked their new catalogue I ordered the cara crop knit jacket the model is wearing on the front cover, the reversible Stella jumper in grey/navy and the Venice beach dress in red.

Love , love love the Tara dress, have it in black so hoping the Venice beach one will be a similar fit, as will be great for round the house in the summer and also holiday,

Laurendisorder · 04/03/2017 00:42

Another one disappointed with the new collection! Bought all the winter Tara dresses after reading MN reviews and was really looking forward to the summer collection. The surprise of a very unflattering V neck (for me) and the choice of a vertical stripe or black was not what I was expecting! I might try Venice - but again limited and pretty lame colour choice - perhaps they have hired someone from M&S - most upset! However I will make sure I take a day off next time as sounds good as I really want some cashmere socks for a £1!

Wellhellothere1 · 04/03/2017 07:11

I now have the white shirt with black lightening bolts, the grey tee with gold metallic lightning bolt on the front and the reversible Stella star jumper in navy/grey. I really can't decide if I should keep any of them. The quality is good but I just don't know if I like any of them enough to justify the price! I think it's a bit 'Emperor's new cloths' with me and Hush. If I tried these clothes on in Top Shop for example I definitely wouldn't buy them Smile
I'll try them on again today and get DH's opinion which might help me decide.

ceepeeree · 04/03/2017 07:27

Are there any new discount codes? Just checking 😉

Shamoffour · 04/03/2017 08:06

Eggs you don't need to hand wash it. I've had it for a few weeks and I've washed it on a dark wash and (accidentally) tumble dried it and it's fine pretty indestructible!!

EggsEleven · 04/03/2017 08:16

That's good to know Shamo - hate handwashing!

neveradullmoment99 · 04/03/2017 12:23

The one thing I don't like about Hush (other than the balling up of the heavier knits...essential jumper I am looking at you) is that the stuff sells out quite early after the season releases and then that is it.

Totally agree. I loved their slip on sandals and love their star sandals atm but i refuse to pay £80 for a pair of sandals right now that will just languish in my wardrobe until the summer. Last time i wanted the gold or electric blue ones and when it was summer there were never any in stock. They had completely sold out, which is annoying.

For anyone interested I returned a few things from my latest order.

The star embroidered ecru blouse. Far too wide and short. Lovely but i would never wear that shape. The black bird print dress. Sized down but for me it was uncomfortable across the back and wasn't that taken by the print. Have seen nicer. Also returned the striped skirt. The problem with that was I just cant envisage when i would wear it. Its far too smart for work, i dont go out that often and casually its just far to much for me. It was really lovely though. I also have the star one that i feel the same about but which i love and kept but have very few occasions to wear but one of those that fits in to that category is quite enough.
I kept the short sleeved sloppy joe in black and the black shorts with they yellow band are just amazingly flattering. Intend to wear them with tights and boots as well as in the summer.

WicksEnd · 04/03/2017 13:22

The only thing I've ordered so far is the riviera jumpsuit here
I love it. Ordered both the 8 & 10 and if only it were available in size 9 it would be 100% perfect.
The 10 was too big under the arms and round the bum and the 8 is a tiny bit tighter than I'd like but fits better than the ten.
I reckon I could wear a white shirt underneath until the weather picks up.
Looks great with my Prada rip off wedged brogue from Zara or sandals for the summer.
I'm not buying any hush Tshirts, had two last year, They're too thin and they go wavy.
I've two Tara winters and one summer in navy, won't buy anymore unless they bring out more colours for summer.
I like the look of the calla wrap dress. But will hold fire for now.

Needastrongone · 04/03/2017 13:59

Thanks for this thread. It's extremely useful. I know we sometimes have differing opinions on the clothes, but it's still informative nevertheless.

I received the Viviene dress yesterday, the white short dress with the lightening bolt print. It's lovely and the material is thick and non polyester. I'm sending it back though as I have decided I would get more wear from the shirt than a white dress.

Have the star linen tee on order btw.

PidgeyfinderGeneral · 04/03/2017 16:00

I got the paloma jumper in calypso (which is more of a salmon pink which I hate so am sending it back), the black tara dress, red melanie dress (which I LOVE) and an olive t-shirt.

The tara was XL but is still very fitted though I'm keeping it as I'm in the middle of losing weight and by summer it will hang a lot better.

Thinking of ordering one of the yellow tops. It's not a colour I normally wear but it looks really nice.

Justfivemoreminutesplease · 04/03/2017 16:34

I did nothing with the Feb discount code and then inspired by this thread, decided to order the blue basket stitch jacket and also the cara cropped knit jacket. Ordered them from John Lewis so I got next day delivery and they arrived today. I'm a decent size 12 and ordered both a M and S but the S fits perfectly. I found the 'racing red' cara to be a strange red, and almost a pink / orange weird red so they're going back (it does look a different colour irl to the one pictured on the front of their current catalogue). I'll keep the S blue basket stitch but it's more of a cardigan than a jacket. Can only think that I'll wear white /grey t-shirts underneath it, unless anyone has any better suggestions?

Bluntness100 · 04/03/2017 16:41

Ah shit really? I am a ten but have boobs and ordered the cara innthe medium, worried it will be too big.

Don't fancy the v neck Tara dress, I have the round neck in the black. Wish they would do more of them, fancy a navy one or a charcoal grey. I guess it's the winter style. I'm surprised when it's so popular they elected not to stock the long sleeve round neck one year round and in a large variety of colours.

PidgeyfinderGeneral · 04/03/2017 16:44

I forgot, I bought the melanie top as well. The red colour is fab, but it would be nice if it was slightly longer in the body. I wore it with jeans and a long layering vest underneath and several people commented on how nice the colour was. Reckon it would look good with cropped trousers too.

A few months ago I bought the ruched skirt in blue and black and I utterly love them. I was afraid they might look a bit too short and young for me but they don't at all with opaques, ankle boots and an oversize top/jumper. I'd have got the burgundy one too but it was sold out.

Justfivemoreminutesplease · 04/03/2017 16:51

The M cara just hung off me and the shoulders were too big. Even on the S the arms of the blue stitch jacket ideally need turning up. I am a weird shape though!

Laska5772 · 05/03/2017 15:32

the Pink linen T came is really nice weight and a lovely colour - not a baby pink, slightly 'disty'. so keepingthat . ,so now I have 3 of the linen Ts blue yellow and pink . i do really like them even though they are a tad expensive.. Hopefully they will wash ok..

So all in all I am pleased with my Hush purchases this season..
now i just need to stop myself buying the glasshouse skirt from Boden

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 06/03/2017 08:48

Well, the package arrived this morning.

Lightning bolt tee is going back. The bolt is all on one side of mine (had to check photo from site to check if it was a design feature Grin) so is faulty but I won't be looking for a replacement.

Calypso tee is very very thin. Not worth the dosh. I was hoping for cotton slub like Boden's of old (brilliant quality) but was disappointed.

Earrings are nice though Smile

Now I have to join the no-spend crew on the other thread for the rest of the foreseeable.

Enjoy your purchases!

Bluntness100 · 06/03/2017 13:11

I've just had mine delivered. The medium cara is fine, it's loose but wearable like that and I'm keeping it, it looks nice with a vest under it and will be great for summer.

The Venice beach dress in red I love love love. I'm a ten and got the extra small, as that's what I got in the round neck Tara and it looks great on. Enough material round the middle to make it hang loosely but not enough to bulk up, it is shorter than the Tara though. I have quite slim hips though and am arseless.

The reversible Stella jumper I am going to keep, will be great for slobbing round in, but they have messed up on the labels, there are two inside, one down the side for wash instructions and uou need to be really careful cutting them off as they are well attached, which is a bit silly for a reversible jumper. It's quite big made so I'd order down, I got the small and it's very loose, more like a short sloppy joe.

So keeping all three and am happy,

Talisin · 09/03/2017 19:02

Tried the denim dungarees and as I suspected, they did not suit me at all. In all truth I looked like a member of The Worzels. On the brighter side, I ordered the Amalfi jumpsuit which arrived today and looks fab. Slightly concerned about the potential lifespan of the shoestring straps but it's so flattering that outweighs everything else.

Gingefringe · 10/03/2017 07:40

What are the shoes like? I like their Chiswick sandals but at £165 I think I'll have to save up for them.
Are they true to size and does their footwear last well? £165 for sandals seems a lot to pay.

Clickncollect · 10/03/2017 10:13

Hi ladies, I've been lurking for a while but I'm jumping in as my Riviera jumpsuit arrived and it is lovely! Very flattering and true to size for me. A little pricier than I would like to have paid but I didn't want to miss out by waiting for the next promo code.

So thank you to Wicksend as it was off the back of your recommendation upthread.

Last year I got the black and burgundy ruched skirts and I have worn them so much. I have a couple of their long sleeved tees aswell and they've washed up well.

I love those star trainers but not the price.

My mum lives near Chelmsford in Essex so I ventured to the John Lewis store there when I visited last week as they have a Hush concession so it was nice to see some of the pieces in the flesh. That John Lewis store is fabulous and also has Jigsaw, Whistles, Mint Velvet, Phase 8 plus lots of other quality concessions.

Chickydoo · 11/03/2017 11:57

Order arrived
Cloud T is stunning got an XS still roomy, looks great though
Ombré sweatshirt (the aqua one) slightly more green than blue, but looks fresh & bright. A keeper.
Boyfriend jeans gone back. Too big, loved them so have Re ordered a 6
Star cut out top in black. This has quite a high neckline, am just not sure if I will wear it enough....will try again later, but first thoughts are to send back.

Overall fairly happy, especially with the sweatshirt as I think I will wear it loads

DrScholl · 11/03/2017 15:33

Jumpsuit ( the shorts one - the playsuit I suppose) is LOVELY
the pink linen top with the star cut out - LOVE:Y
Pink neon short sleeved sweat is a average and going back
