Hi, what does everyone think of the hush new season? I've ordered a few bits to try, a couple of their basic raglan l/s tops, the dungarees (not sure!) and the lightening bolt dress and shirt, just wondered if anyone else had had a look yet? Smile

I already ordered the lightning bold tee in black when it was in stock. Its nice. I like the shape of it. Its quite quirky.
I wouldn't wear a white dress so although i love the lightning bolt dress, in that colourway, its out for me. I love the heart tee, the cloud tee love the striped joggers but a bit too summery at the moment so wont buy until later. Like the denim midi length skirt. Ordered the khaki shirt but returned. Although it was lovely it was ultra expensive for what it is and found a very similar one on the warehouse website if anyone is interested. I compared them both and with nearly £35 of a difference it was definetly not special enought to keep.

Same material, similar shape, slightly larger pockets, slightly lighter but marginal. Two buttons at the wrist. Only real difference is the Hush one has buttons to put up the sleeves, which i hate. I much prefer just rolling them.

100% cotton too! Genius!! Any feedback on the Azalea dress? Or the trapeze dress?

Or better yet high street dupes for half the price?

It looks good but I've come the conclusion that its all smoke and mirrors. The less than 3 month old stella jumper that I have on me today looks so tatty that its going in the bin this evening.

Maybe we should have a hush dupes thread ha ha!!! Grin

I had the Azalea dress. I sold it on. I seem to be between sizes in this dress. I originally had the 12 and it just felt like i was wearing a tent. I have the other dress with the ditsy flowers that is a much nicer material than the azalea. Similar in shape but not called the azalea. It is a sort of cottony viscose but the Azalea felt a bit crispy and quite synthetic. I love the print of it [ it was black with white little stars] but the size 12 swayed on me and I ended up selling it on ebay for a good price as it was sold out. I dont think the khaki dress with the stars is a good colour for me [ I am sallow] and the white one i just wouldnt wear. Not sure which one is the trapeze dress.

neveradull I would LOVE a Hush dupes thread, people always say H&M etc but I can never find anything remotely Hush-ish in there!

I quite like the Hush look, but a bit too afraid to try it as a 14-16 Blush

I bought the boyfriend jeans last night. Missed the 10% code though :(

Anybody have them? The reviews are good apart from a couple which said they are ridiculously long. I am a size 12 on my bottom half and bought size 10 and 12 as read reviews they come up quite big. The sofia skirt is lovely .I have the black midi one and like it a lot. The raglan tops are nice colours but I find the quality of Hush is shocking. Love the styling though.

I'm that size Mighty and I wear a lot of Hush stuff, go for it :)

I was all ready to spend a fortune but am pretty disappointed with the new stuff - never that keen on the bright summer colours and the prices just keep creeping up even though they're not always reflected in the quality. I did order the Lightning sweatshirt from the preview stuff which I like - also tried the t-shirt but the motif looked as though it wouldn't stand up well to washing.

Do we think there's more to come? I also saw the trainers mentioned up thread on their Instagram but they're not on there at the moment. One thing I was really hoping for was the wrap shirts - I ordered one last year, returned it for a bigger size and they were all sold out.

It is always worth ordering two sizes in Hush as they invariably sell out your size!

Laska5772 · 14/02/2017 22:43

Yes there will be more stuff to come, but maybe not for a few weeks.. Also I think it is often best to just order it when you see it if you like it ; unless its a sale they dont ever go below 10% ive found ( well ive never had offers and I have bought a lot from them). some things sell out really fast also and they dont always get stuff back in later on . I nearly missed out on the burgundy layered skirt last year (like the Sofia one I have just ordered) though was lucky to get a sales return in my size , but it sold out really quickly .

I haven actually noticed the quality getting worse (but maybe ive been lucky in what I have ordered) , but the one thing I did find last year was the sizing got be a bit unpredictable.. . They changed sizing scales (it used to be mostly S /M and L rather than normal sizes ) and I think its taken then a bit of a time to get it right since .

As well as using quid co for extra discount its also useful to remember that John Lewis now sell Hush ( but not all of it) . Their free delivery minimum policy is sometimes better than Hush website .

But if you do order direct from Hush they send you a newsletter with each order and that often has a 10% code in

No I dont work for them just keep them afloatby the ampunt i buy from them it seems Grin

BTW does anyone have the Amalfi jumpsuit? What is it like? What kind of bra could be worn with it?

neveradullmoment99 · 14/02/2017 22:53

Hohumming I have the hush boyfriend jeans. Bought the black ones and the blue ones last year. I found them true to size. I am a 12 and the 12 was fine. I dont think they have any stretch in them. I would never have got the 10 on. They loosen up though with wear but I like that even better. They are meant to be baggy. I mostly always order two sizes. I have ordered the dungarees in the 10 and the 12. I am sure i will need the 12 though as they are rigid denim and have no elastine in them so no give. I am also pear shaped so although i can get away with a 10 on less fitted things, jeans its always a 12 for me.
I really like that jumpsuit but no idea what you could do bra wise. I bought the grecian dress last year and the grecian vest and have struggled to wear it as any strapless bra that i have had has been uncomfortable.

I could never wear that bright yellow. It does look nice with the black though Laska.

HoHumming · 14/02/2017 23:03

i returned the grecian vest last year because couldn't figure out a bra and I'm too big (E) to go without a bra.

Report
neveradullmoment99 · 14/02/2017 23:22

Well its still languishing in my wardrobe in the vain hope of a solution. The thing is, unlike normal vests, you just cant get away with an ordinary bra as the straps look ridiculous. I am an 32E so now way would i go without a bra. I cant actually stand the feeling of being bra-less!!!
I think that jumpsuit would be a nightmare.

Report
HoHumming · 14/02/2017 23:37

I'm the same size (32E). I think footwear would be hard with the jumpsuit too. Sandals are lovely but I don't like open toes or very flat shoes when I go out but I don't have the lifestyle that would enable the jumpsuit to be worn as daily wear. It would be very nice on hols though. I think it would be too much at a summer bbq even as the annual bbq we go is very casual. I'm trying to think of where I could wear it I think I would wear it going out for dinner but then the footwear becomes an issue and the circle continues.....

Sorry was being lazy! It's the Piper dress. I am tall and athletic with broad shoulders and big boobs. Any feedback much welcomed. Also, as above, any dupes??

HoHumming I wear my jumpsuit with black pointy courts, they look great and I feel chic like that. Oh and also ankle boots but only the kind with a v-shaped dip at the top/front on the leg as other ones look weird. Hope that helps?

I have a couple of Phase Eight dresses from last year that are very, very similar to the Piper (in fact the black one looks virtually identical). I'm 5'8, broad shoulders, boobs, and I was surprised with how well the style suited me.

HoHumming can you report back on the boyfriend jeans? They look really nice on the model and I have ummed and aahed about them for a couple of years but never ordered a pair yet as I've heard that returns on Hush are really slow and take ages to refund money. Might take the plunge this year.
