Oh Cloud Flowers. Hope you get a good night's sleep.

Blackduck · 25/01/2017 06:02

I can't do either date :( as away previous weekend in Wales and in London weekend of 18th so can't do another two away or dp would change the locks....

MrsWobble3 · 25/01/2017 06:54

Count me in for 11th and 24th. Am currently at bus stop praying that network rail have cleared the overturned freight train from yesterday - I really don't need another journey like that, particularly when I survey my diary for today.

MrsW, I hate to say this but I gather the chaos will be on all week. I have a meeting later today but have the option of a different train line for that, phew.

V chuffed you like the wall and didn't see the HUGE damp patch we hope DP has nobly fixed....

motherinferior · 25/01/2017 08:27

Glad you're feeling better, Rudy.

Hattie, I have just breakfasted on a piece of granary toast with almond butter and a drizzle of honey WHICH WAS DELICIOUS.

NUFC69 · 25/01/2017 08:29

That sounds unpleasant, Rudy. Good news about DS, fingers crossed for the next tests.

Well done to your DS, too, Beachy: it must be encouraging.

It's going to be a long haul, BTM, with DS, but he'll get there in the end, I am sure, with all his family's support.

How are you feeling today, Crem? And how is DD, SuperStropps?

We have just bought new scales and so I stepped on them yesterday in trepidation - I have lost 3kg since my operation (wouldn't really recommend it as a weight loss programme, though). I am just hoping that I can keep my portions small going forward when I am off my pills.

NUFC69 · 25/01/2017 08:31

I hate honey, MI: DH is currently working through a load of little jars I was given at Christmas. Have a good day.

Any new crepes - please do come along if you are free. We are all marvellously friendly and you would be very welcome Smile. There is an entertaining thread out at the moment with a poster wondering if anyone has actually MET a person from MN in real life. How I chuckled. Happily, GGG got on and said that we meet regularly and have a larf WineCakeGrin

I will book this afternoon so if anyone else would like to come please let me know. That said, Cote is always tres flexible so I am sure we could boost numbers at a later date.

BD, so sorry you can't make it. I know what you mean about DP's having the hump if one is out too much.Hmm

Herbs, I love St Matthew P as well - when are you singing it? Would love to come if I can wangle it.

Work is going very slowly today. Humph.

MontserratCaballe · 25/01/2017 11:26

PS where IS Molly? Hope everything ok XXX

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 25/01/2017 11:36

Monty, I think Acloud is a possible for the 24th too?

I saw Lion yesterday..... really amazing, full on sobfest and luxurious lust after young Dev Patel Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/01/2017 11:37

We went to St Matthew Passion at St Paul's last year (friend's son is a chorister). It was lovely, but my god it was LONG.

MontserratCaballe · 25/01/2017 11:41

Thanks beachy, I've added her.

Exciting Rudy.... look, we've got a bike now, just for you BikeBike

We seem to have a full house here. Dh on his day off, ds home sick with one of my many colds and me! Only dd2 has gone in, excited about her Burns Night dinner and dance tonight! I say dance loosely, as in lots of pre teens in tartan and adidas taking instructions on Scottish dancing from a teacher with a microphone Grin

MrsWobble3 · 25/01/2017 12:17

Herbs, I think you should bite the bullet and apply for POA. It is not going to be an easy conversation with your mother but it doesn't get an easier if you leave it and once it's done you will find life easier. Dh and sil regret not having done it sooner with mil I think as it was quite scary finding out exactly what she had done - eg asking the village shop to write down her PIN number because she kept forgetting it and responding to charity begging letters assuming they were invoices. I think the actual conversation where dh ripped up mil's chequebook in front of her (he wanted her to know the change was real and not a threat or part of a power game) was probably one of the harder things he has had to do. She did not take it well - very dramatic flouncing that her life was over and she might as well take all her pills as she would not be able to do anything ever again without a chequebook. But it has enabled dh and sil to manage her affairs and as the dementia has worsened means she can be looked after. I wish you luck in dealing with all this.

Collymollypuff · 25/01/2017 12:27

I'm here - thank you for your concern! I have the dreaded hysterical oscopy/hysteroscopy booked for Friday...I've asked for a general anaesthetic so as to be oblivious. Dh will "work from home" so he can look after me. Hospital is being lovely. But in principle I bloody hate hospitals and everything to do with them. I'm going to have to resolve my fear of everything medical because crepiness dictates occasional visits to docs and consequences.

Anyway, I had a lovely workshop sesh yesterday with adorable Prof and equally adorable classmates. So that was a distraction.

Welcome to new joiners. Babybarrister, I've seen you around on threads I think - you have a memorable username! I don't think I can do Feb dates, but am looking forward to the late March one with Crem. Always a great pleasure to meet new Crepeys, yay!

Cremolafoam · 25/01/2017 13:16

Aw Thanks Molly. gA a very good idea if you are in any way wibbly. I have fingers crossed for hysteria etc.
Welcome BB and Bob if you are still around!Flowers

GGG I think you are right about the triggering of A50. My bff has been working on the case since September and is doubly annoyed that NI has been sold down the river. we doubt whether. TM has actually heard that there is a frontier with Europe here, never mind wondering what on earth to do about it. Grrrrrrg!

Rudy, sorry you are feeling pants ( not on yer head). Budge up the bench a bit , will you. I am trying, today , for the fourth day in a row, to stay awake all the day long. So sapped am I from all the rounds of antibiotics. And I woke up with a vice like headache this morning. All the fun of the fair. Am pooped and it's only lunch time.

Talking of pyjamas - I love them and could indeed live in them if I didn't have flylady (remember her) bouncing around my head telling me to get dressed to the shoes and shine my sink.
Bought the most luxurious dressing gown in M&S yesterday with a dusty old voucher I had lying in my handbag. It's Ruby red and goes nearly to the floor. Lush.

Waf yes to Lollwear. Perfect!

IDismyname · 25/01/2017 13:22

Oh Phew Colly - glad you're alright.

I'll warm up my Good Vibe-Ometer ready for a super boost come Friday. It always works for job interviews, important pitches and hospital stuff. Let me know if anyone else needs it.

MC - put me down as a definite possible. Just need to square it on a domestic level. Will it be the one in CG? I will need to be on a train home that night....

In other news my equilibrium has not returned. I'm treading a thin line between holding it together and losing it. I'm hoping it will pass. I am home alone tonight, and plan to watch Paddington Bear in my pyjamas.

DS is alive Down Under - or at least Ive not heard anything to the contrary. I wish he'd come home. Am missing my hugs.

DH being his usual unsupportive self
