Immediately thought of a Womble costume, CV
Lol

Maybe Theresa May's Uncle Bulgaria suit could get another airing?

Lucky you got given Wimbledon. Pity the poor volunteer who got stuck with Neasden, or Acton Town.

motherinferior · 27/01/2017 14:38

I have to say I am so hopeless and vague with my offspring that they've long since realised that any organisation is up to them. I love them madly but I have enough trouble sorting my own life out.

Auriga, I quite liked the gallery when I ate there!

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/01/2017 14:43

Herbs, I'm thinking that your lovely boy would appreciate a tube station themed pageant!

herbaceous · 27/01/2017 14:46

He would! As would I. I could come as Oval - my current shape.

wordassociationfootball · 27/01/2017 15:06

CV's pageant. Costume idea for 'outgoing' male:Can of aussie lager and going commando with flies undone.
Which station?

bigTillyMint · 27/01/2017 15:13

Auriga, I would echo Montys recommendations. There isn't much choice other than them anywayGrin I hear Belair House does nice lunches but I haven't avtually been there!

Off to a meeting at hosp shortly to see how today went/forward plan...

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/01/2017 15:15

Cockfosters obvs WAF Grin

bigTillyMint · 27/01/2017 15:15

Stropps, very sensible advice on this thread, of course. However, I know it's not easy to stick to a plan - fingers crossed she will give it a rest or move herself - she has a car FFS!

bigTillyMint · 27/01/2017 15:15

Grin WAF!

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/01/2017 15:15

Hmmm, if seven of us went together we could be Seven Crepes Sisters!

bigTillyMint · 27/01/2017 15:19

I worked in a Real Ale pub in the 80s. The uniform was serving wench. Checked orange and green dirndl skirts, green gipsy top and orange frilly apron. TF it was before the age of FB, etc and no photos of me wearing it exist!

herbaceous · 27/01/2017 15:46

I was offered a job in a bar in Perth (Australia, not Scotland), and the uniform was tutu, g-string and tits out. I declined.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/01/2017 15:47

Was this recently Herbs? X

herbaceous · 27/01/2017 15:53

Last week.

Not really - in 1989.

herbaceous · 27/01/2017 15:58

In 'ceaseless consumption' news, my new iPhone has arrived, and it's lovely.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/01/2017 16:05

Did you go gold? Glad you love it. A new phone is very pleasing...

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/01/2017 16:06

Hope you are OK Molly and on the other side of your ordeal.

Hope ds's oscopy was ok too Rudy. X

herbaceous · 27/01/2017 16:17

I did go for gold, a la Henry Kelly, and glad I did. It's more bronze, than gold, so a little bit classy.

I love the fingerprint recognition thing. So clever!

CointreauVersial · 27/01/2017 17:23

Well, Herbs, just make sure you don't bend it.

Ahhh, Wombles! Grin Remember You're A Womble was my first-ever record purchase, I'll have you know. I also had their difficult third album, Superwombling, complete with gatefold sleeve. And a cuddly Orinoco. Loved me a bit of Womble action, back in the day.

Molly, hope all is well, and Rudy, hope the oscopy wasn't too grim.

BTM - hope the hospital come up with a good plan of action for you.

bigTillyMint · 27/01/2017 17:44

How did the hospital go-ers get on? Hope all is good.

Meeting was positive, the plan has worked for 5 days, school went fine, so we are putting in a possible school day at the start of the week if the plan is still working. Baby steps!

bigTillyMint · 27/01/2017 17:45

Not day. Morning!

IDismyname · 27/01/2017 17:46

I've geographically misplaced you, CV - 'Twas definitely a Fayre I was thinking of... and always medieval costume.

Hope all the Crepeys and offspring are out of hospital and snuggled up at home.

Stropps - I have no experience of teenage DDs, but having a teenage DS, I would echo the others to stand firm. To give in will pave the way for more upsets that you have little control over, but which affect (effect??) you massively.

I can advise on the 'letting go' part, though. Having your PFB practising extreme sports 13+ hours and 36+ hours flying away certainly makes for a steep curve. Roll on end of Feb.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 27/01/2017 17:49

Difficult third album GrinGrin

Well done to BTM's ds. Bet you're glad it's the weekend.... I bet it was lovely for him to see friends at school.
