Watching TOTPs 1983 - Bono looks so young.

Justme - so sorry.

Stropps - glad supervisor was good. Dig out some fresh booze though.

Colly - sending strength and hugs for tomorrow.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/01/2017 19:52

Hatty - my DH looks very like Bono. But is much poorer and slightly less of an arse.

Stropperella · 26/01/2017 19:56

Things are looking up: have discovered bottle of red I got for Christmas from school. Has label with school name on Hmm so I assumed it would be foul. Is actually drinkable: woohoo.

hattymattie · 26/01/2017 20:12

GrinMrs S.

Stropps - glad you've found something drinkable.Smile

Stropperella · 26/01/2017 20:18

(I live on the edge, me)

Cremolafoam · 26/01/2017 20:44

Ah you poor thing JM. Keep adding dink. Keep talking about woofer.(may he rest in peace)

Molly, thinking about you and appt tomorrow, best of luck.ShamrockFlowers

All hail the fur/fleece lined tight. Totally brilliant, and necessary piece of equipment for anyone who works outdoors/at a door/in the way of a door. Me . I will also be chucking them into bag for Morocco having noted nighttime temps ATM being pretty nippy in the desert 🌵.

Lovely coffee and chat with nice friend this evening. Note to self: do more of this sort of thing.
Particularly as dh comes home every night and falls asleep and is thus useless at 'having a chat.

MI, I have been packing and thrown in a bright red, shocking pink, and neon coral headscarves in your honour.everything else I am bringing, Rudy, in your honour Grinwill be black or navy to avoid any dressing in the dark issues. PS, brilliant and lovely jumper and I like the sleeves, but would be hopeless and probably dip them in spaghetti sauce within 5 minutes.Blush

Herbs, damn rules, damn rules!!! Hope the fine isn't ruinous. I hate ruddy fines , and indeed parking fees in general, which is money for old rope.Bastards indeed.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/01/2017 20:54

I have had wine. But now going home to sleep. I mean prep for interview.

Cremolafoam · 26/01/2017 20:56

Go Mrs S. Like your prep btwHalo

Blackduck · 26/01/2017 21:39

Justme - big hugs. We have the Irrepressible Flash, but I miss my old dog sooooooo much.

Today would have been dmum's 83 birthday :(.

Stropps - leftover Cava?!? I never get those 'what to do with leftover wine' articles..... Clearly people are not trying hard enough Grin

MrsS good luck with interview
Colly good luck!

Had enough - work beggars belief - I want to run away.

Stropperella · 26/01/2017 21:40

Bah, have had 3 glasses of red and have already moved on to chamomile tea.

wordassociationfootball · 26/01/2017 21:57

Good luck tomorrow Colly.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/01/2017 22:02

I have had several glasses of red and have moved onto white.

Cremolafoam · 26/01/2017 22:07

BD, you are welcome to come and stay here while we are away next week. Hmm
Sorry you are so down.SadBrewFlowers

CointreauVersial · 26/01/2017 22:16

Thanks Monty and others for moving the dinner booking back on the 24th. It will be so nice to meet MrsW and Cloud at last. Yes, Beachy, it's my 50th! And WAF's 50th! And there seem to be a few other Feb birthdays (MrsW? MrsS??).

I'm hopelessly behind on this thread. Yah Boo Sucks to parking tickets, crappy colleagues, demanding DDs, pernicious anaemia and 'oscopies. And Hooray to new jobs, hoovers, thermal tights and knee-tremblers in alleyways (not really - I wouldn't dare!).

Have had a super-busy week at work, getting everything straight in the new office and catching up on last week. I also spent half a day mucking out the disgusting cellar. It's unbelieveable how many itty-bitty office essentials get forgotten about - bins, clocks, pinboards, extension leads - all of which have to be sourced. To add to the fun we had an auditor in, who was creeping about asking questions. Colleague I Can't Stand is now in much closer vicinity, but after a rocky start to the week when I had to bite my lip so hard I almost drew blood, we got on quite well today. It will be fine - I'm a professional. Hmm

Earlier in the week I went to my first committee meeting for the local Village Day; after years on a male-dominated footy club committee it felt very odd (but quite nice) to sit around a table with a bunch of female crepeys. Thankfully, I don't have too much to do, although I was dismayed to be told I am now expected to wear fancy dress for the day.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 26/01/2017 22:37

Hi CV - what will you be? Village wench? Tree? Swan? Antique shop? (Don't forget I know where you live - and can picture that village ALL TOO WELL).

IDismyname · 26/01/2017 23:05

Haha CV I think I know the fair. Or 'Fayre'. My Mum used to make and run the fudge stall. My DF (God Bless him) ran the car park. Both dressed head to toe in wimples(DM) and tights and a cod piece (DF).

Can I just also say CV thanks for the Lidl's gin tip off. Am loving the spiced one especially. I squeeze contents of a clementine into the glass with gin and ice and top up with tonic. One of my 5 a day. The fruit bit. Not the gin.

I'm finding the cryptic mentions of cocktail meet up confusing. Having said I will be there, I may not be unless someone enlightens me! I hope they do a mean G&T with twiddly bits with rosemary or bits of petals or summat.

Colly Good Vibe-O-meter is now in second gear. Will be in full throttle come the morning. Meanwhile, I'll be thinking of you.
If you're able to make it for cocktails to introduce me, that would be great. Otherwise I will just have to hoik up my big girls pants and go by myself.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 26/01/2017 23:20

I think we should have a meet up at CV's fayre, dressed up as full on Crepeys Grin

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 26/01/2017 23:22

By the way, don't worry Cloud, or any other Newbies, just walk in, say 'I'm Cloud', you'll get poured a glass and then we just crack on and chat!

Blackduck · 27/01/2017 06:18

Cremo I might just take you up on that!!

Cloud - DnS is a Dark and Stormy - it is 'our' drink - dark rum, ginger beer, mint...... But we wouldn't force it on a non liker! If you are not sure ask MrsS who has tried all the cocktails on the menu....

MontserratCaballe · 27/01/2017 06:32

Sending love and good wishes to Molly for her minge today. I hope it goes smoothly

BD, sending you lots of love too.

Stropps, how is dd doing? And how are you?

Mrs S, break a leg for today. Is this one for forrin pants as week?

bigTillyMint · 27/01/2017 06:52

Good Luck to MrsS and Molly today.

BD, hope today is slightly better.

CV, it all sounds very genteel!

Early start here as DS is going to attempt a morning in school...

Good luck Btm. Hope it goes well.

I am going to hairdresser to get my badger sorted out. I've found a very good spray root touch up which I've been using for weeks but time to bite the bullet and sort it.

hattymattie · 27/01/2017 07:20

Hope it goes OK Molly.

Rudy and BTM's DS's also.

addle · 27/01/2017 07:38
