I think people who are concerned about this being vain are just jealous - even if it were vain, does that negatively impact them? No. So why snark? On one hand people are told to feel beautiful and be confident, but woe betide anyone who is confident enough to say they like how they look.

I hate this question. I've been asked this in real life and you have to say an age that is low to flatter the person but not so low that they'll think you're taking the piss. It's a minefield where a guess few years either way could really backfire
