Poor DH blair - I had all my wisdoms out at 7m pg. It was absolutely grim. I couldn't even be laid back properly!

Trying not to scratch the party dress itch. I really, really DON'T NEED ANOTHER.

Topazandpearl · 15/11/2016 22:24

Hope DH is feeling better Blair. Yes, I did get the Russell & Bromley boots and am very happy with them. They look good and are comfortable. I am looking forward to putting new looks together with them.

Everyonelovessparkles · 16/11/2016 09:00

blair hope your DH is feeling better and that you've got the boiler sorted. Maybe have a look around and see if there's a new dress that grabs your eye? If you see something, buy it and then compare with what you have and see if you like it more. After the LKB dress scenario my new mantra is 'if in doubt, buy it' because the regret is worse and often you end up returning the purchase any way. Did you like the dress you bought from eBay and got delivered to you hotel?

Sounds like you all had some good post MU buys! I was in no state to even contemplate shopping, I just about made it home!

New foundation sounds nice dry. I've been trying a few different ones this year but don't think I've found 'the one' yet though.

lib there is a tan suede button through skirt in warehouse at the moment similar to mine. suede skirt

Glad you like the boots topaz

I've been thinking about the 5 items and have come up with :
Stripey tops
Accessories (not in blingy's league Grin but I do like beads, bracelets and bags)
Fit and flare dresses
Black tops
Then in summer I would say it's a jeresey dress and in winter it would be a patterned skirt

Lovely morning here today. Heading into the office. OOTD is a blue bird print dress from monsoon that I've had for years, tan Chelsea boots and my grey duffle coat. Bag is my le pilage as was running late!

libertydoddle · 16/11/2016 10:59

Lovely outfit everyone. Thanks for the skirt linked. I thought yours looked great at the MU.

On the Laura Mercier candle glow powder I am sold! Works well on it's own or over foundation. Definitely gives a flattering glow without being shiny.

Really enjoyed all the 5 item lists.

Bernice I forgot to respond to your comment about the Seasalt raincoat. I love it. Dry bought one too. It's very cosy and properly waterproof. The hood stays on well and it's long so you don't get wet legs (my usual gripe with waterproof coats).

QueenCobalt · 16/11/2016 13:44

I'll check out that powder lib

Having a nightmare week as dd off work with a cold. Typical that it's a week where work is v busy and dh is on call so can't help out.

I bought Elle today with this nail polish free. It's to replace the OPI one I bought earlier in the year and literally peels off within seconds. I swear OPI have changed their formula as I have one from years ago that lasts ages.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/11/2016 16:33

Has anyone seen this thread? Grin

Topaz great news on the boots, they are lovely.

everyone I already have the ebay dress in red and I haven't worn the new one yet but I'm sure I will love it! Gutted I missed meeting you btw :( next time!

DH is coping alone at home, PIL have stopped in this afternoon as they were passing. Boiler is NOT fixed. Angry I don't know how long it can take to get a part delivered!

QueenC Wine for you!

QueenCobalt · 16/11/2016 17:42

blair Wine right back at you for lack of boiler and a dh to look after.
That thread is great. There's one on s&ab about designer handbags that she said she also had started in Aibu. I keep meaning to go and find it as she must have a death wish Grin

QueenCobalt · 16/11/2016 17:47

Disappointly the aibu handbag thread is actually really tame. No mention of benches at all!

Drywhitethanks · 16/11/2016 21:47

Bernice I missed your Seasalt question. I can vouch for the one Liberty and I have. These are not "fashion" coats, more "stylish performance". Completely waterproof and the fleecy inside is lovely and w arm. Pockets lined with thermal fabric too. Excelle ct quality, nice and long and waist definition. I'm not on commission. I didn't think I could replace the indestructible Meryll Wakefield 4 years wear this one is as good.

Back to impractical heels..........Grin

Dreamqueen · 17/11/2016 07:24

I've just done a M&S order using the 20% off code. This skirt and this dress and this cashmere jumper I'm not sure what to team the skirt with but thought it might be useful for winter evenings out. Any ideas please?

Hope the boiler is sorted out v soon Blair You must be cold.

I also confess to opening my beauty calendar all in one go. I love it.

Larastheme · 17/11/2016 13:38

Am I the only one who sees a cattle with a nose ring when looking at this?

Dreamqueen · 17/11/2016 14:13

I agree Lara

AmberNectarine · 17/11/2016 14:14

You are not!

shopafrolic · 17/11/2016 16:26

all kinds of pretty from SJP

shopafrolic · 17/11/2016 16:28

I see it too...

libertydoddle · 17/11/2016 16:54

Someone needs to link a pretty bag to make up for that!!

Everyonelovessparkles · 17/11/2016 16:59

lara Grin

Ooooo lots of nice shoes there shop

Nice buys dream. I couldn't think of anything I need so being good and not being tempted just because there's a promo.

Hope your DH is feeling better blair. I was sorry to miss you too at the MU, but hopefully next time.

Glad the seasalt coat is a winner. Is it very long? A waterproof coat is always handy looks out of window at pouring rain as just about to leave to collect kids from nursery

VeryPunny · 17/11/2016 19:55

Good haul dream - also sitting on the 20% off voucher. Wondering whether to buy the leather ponte leggings or hold out for a full leather pair in the sales.

lara not the prettiest bag, is it?

Convinced one of the mums at DD's swimming lesson is a Voguette - she was wearing Pistols and a lovely houndstooth scarf today, and has a Céline handbag I covet....

Larastheme · 17/11/2016 20:34

Sorry about that, here's something to erase that bag. My latest celine, got it a few months ago, unless you all find it repulsive Wink

MN Vogue Vol. 74
Larastheme · 17/11/2016 20:37

dream why not try it with a cashmere sweater, or sweatshirt? Or simple chambray shirt and skinny belt for casual look?

shop they look really good, but too steep for a celeb line,no? I'm always skeptical of celeb designs,

very which celine? Details!!!!

libertydoddle · 17/11/2016 20:42

Oh that's gorgeous Lara.

Adora there isn't anyone that glamorous at my DD's lessons!!!

I'm on phone so can't link. I got a lovely polo neck jumper today in Cos which is a really lovely deep chocolate colour. It's a very hard colour to get right so I am very pleased with it.

libertydoddle · 17/11/2016 20:49

Blush that comment was for very not Adora...

VeryPunny · 17/11/2016 20:51

lara Today was a black Luggage, probably a Mini? Although now I cast my mind back I'm sure I've seen her with another Céline in a blue (maybe periwinkle, or perhaps more purple- memory failing me). She always looks so casually together, and I'm always somewhat less so, what with wrangling two smallsGrin

Your new addition is lovely - very soothing on the eyes after the piercing affair.

QueenCobalt · 17/11/2016 22:17

Agree with the cows nose lara but like your bag.
shop pretty shoes (although too pointy for me) but these blue ones especially look like manolo (?sp) copies.

Weather here is awful-thunder, lightening and v heavy rain.

Drywhitethanks · 17/11/2016 22:39

Love your Celine Lara......cow bag made me Grin

Shop beautiful shoes. Love the first style.

Bernice it is long on me, I'm 5.3"
