My DCs are both home this weekend for an early celebration of my birthday. They have been busy in the kitchen and the prosecco is about to be opened, so I probably won't get back to catch up properly (although I have seen and love your jacket Adora).

Had a night out with DH last night, wore my black leather skirt and black top with the gold spots again. Today my DB and SIL came over for lunch, just wore my navy cord button through skirt and a grey top with sparkles.

Adora beautiful jacket - where is it from?

Nothing of sartorial relevance here, today was mostly spent doing chores. Have seen this coat though, which I am tempted by, but put off by the price. Don't usually like parka styles, but need a good warm coat.

Thanks everyone, I've spent the last week thinking about it and took DH to get an opinion.

Next door neighbours have had great fireworks and I'm v happy as Ireland have just beaten the All Blacks in Chicago for the first time ever. Am in PJ bottoms and my Ireland top!! Unfortunately no to hand to toast their success, I have decided no drinking at home between now and Christmas.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend? I'm feeling slightly tender after quite a lot of fizz last night, DH and I were out watching organised fireworks with friends and then dinner, interspersed with visits to the pub - think my alcohol tolerance has definitely dropped dramatically since Sober October!

Anyway, hair of the dog shortly, heading through to Glasgow to meet my daughter and her boyfriend for drinks/dinner for his birthday, need to finalise my outfit..

lib good luck with the not drinking at home, the only alcohol ive had in roughly four years is a couple of tiny sips of bucks fizz at the last wedding i went to and it tasted horrible!

still in the midst of packing and sorting, it's fast rolling round to january isn't it! still almost there now and there's just the decorating to do and a few DIY bits to get sorted and then i'm good to go!

We were meant to go to some fireworks tonight but it's forecast rain and is very cold so may not bother. As the DC are little they're not really bothered any way.

I should really try and cut down on the sauce - I worked out I'm averaging 60ish units a week lately! Though I have plans every weekend until NY, so maybe best to write off 2016 as a loss

Amber i'm with you on the alcohol consumption. I'm full of great ideas to reduce it but real life is getting in the way & similarly the rest of 2016 is already accounted for. Well done lib hope you can keep it up. zif I didn't drink or have a social life zi'm sure I'd have reached my goal weight by now but alas I'm a sucker for a night out/nice dinner out.
