Rose - Delighted to hear the reading went well.

BTM How is DS?

Stropps - Don't leave us - it's good for you to have a place to vent. Dealing with MH is the hardest thing one can ever do & 'talking' about it really can help.

Safe journey home, MrsS.

Today is the first time in 3 weeks that I have felt well. It's taken DH nearly 4 weeks. It's a pig of a bug & I hope none of you get it.

magimedi · 11/10/2016 16:47

Posted too soon...............

Crem Would stern words work with your D(?)M? can you get her to make a plan for tomorrow that seems reasonable & stick to it? Would some Wine calm her down? My sympathy...........

Lalsy · 11/10/2016 16:58

Oh Crem, Flowers.

Probably no-go, but is there any way you can say you are worried about her, she will make herself ill, she must calm down, make a list, stick to it, or you will have to leave the house (even if just daytime)?

I feel for you, lovely Crem, she is putting you in an impossible situation, and her methods will achieve nothing. Is she often like this (manic, irrational, don;t answer if you don't want to)?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 11/10/2016 17:00

Dreadful woman yourself Mrs Smith... although I realise you are under the considerable strain of 2 weeks in the constant company of your dh! Think how much you'll appreciate each other when you get back and see so much less of each other! X

GiddyGiddyGoat · 11/10/2016 17:01

Mrs Smith??? Mrs S.

hattymattie · 11/10/2016 17:09

Crem - sending strength - how does she find the energy. Surely she must wind down at some point.

hattymattie · 11/10/2016 17:11

I fear I have made rather too much rissotto for three people.

Right ear still ringing when it's quiet - I hope this isn't the shape of things to come.

magimedi · 11/10/2016 17:17

If there's no change by the morning, I'd go off to the doctor, hatty. Don't wait & see with hearing.

motherinferior · 11/10/2016 17:20

Crem, much strength.

DP reports he will be out tonight on account of yetafuckingnother T'ai Chi Emergency.

Quite.

In other news, the monsoon broke in Madras on 11 October in 1841. Not a lot of people know that.

bigTillyMint · 11/10/2016 17:20

I am here! Very busy couple of days at work as well as at home. It will be a long, slow journey with DS I fear. No news of follow-up blood test yet.

MM glad to hear you are feeling better

Rose, well done! Flowers

BD, I hope you are having a doggy time!

Herbs, sending strength re the oven/interview/whatever else.

Cremo, I feel exhausted just reading that - has your DM always been so full-on? However, I think I attacked my DM's house in a similar way - if you spend too long, you start wondering what to throw, etc...

hattymattie · 11/10/2016 18:05

Can there ever be such a thing as a tai chi emergency?

MM - glad you're feeling better. I suspect this is the time of year when we all catch one thing after another.
Every single child at school seems to be snotty.

BTM - glad things with DS seem stable, even if progress is slow.

Rudy - how is your DS doing?

DS - has declared he doesn't like prawn rissotto - why do I bother?

motherinferior · 11/10/2016 18:41

I have wittered on the phone at DP.

Who thinks a helpful response to "I'm stuck on the narrative" is "why don't you plan TWO sequels?"

I may kill him.

bigTillyMint · 11/10/2016 19:37

Haha MI - sounds like something my DH might say if I was a writer.

Blackduck · 11/10/2016 21:58

Ha ha MI :)
Dog bobs bonding with me. Time for me to leave so he realises there are others.... not getting very far on 15 minute 5 year challenge slide show..

Rudy, glad you've got good support for your DS - must be very worrying for you too x

Blackduck · 12/10/2016 10:00

Rudy good to hear ds is okay. Long may it continue.

Cremo sending you calming vibes.

Here Brexit has increased the cost of ds's diving trip - thanks for that.... and I didn't win on the lottery last night...

Cremolafoam · 12/10/2016 13:21

Hello Crepeys
Another day some more slaery
I am beyond shattered today after a full on 12 hours of carting shit to dump/ charity/ refugees/ animal shelter < baby donkeys/ puppies/ kittens squeeeeee Molly>!!!!
Have traipsed the length of the driveway to car 27 times and back.
Had to divide up mother's bin bags as couldn't lift them as they weighed a ton. ( They're not that heavy dear!)Shock "mum i have 2 slipped discs, im doing my best " GIANT SIGH number 96 of the day.......
Can hardly stand up today. Have been twice to the RedCross and have just loaded the last of the recycling for the morning.
Collapses......
1.5 days to go. The house is looking forlorn without all the nik naks.
But its mo longer like ours. Mum doesn't seem to have any emotions about it.
Dad is having a great old time and is doing well on the old rollator, we hear.I hate to say it, but hes probably relaxing without dm hovering over him. I know thats a bit miserable.Sad

Tai chi emergency? Whatevernext?

Grin
CointreauVersial · 12/10/2016 13:31

Crem, I needed a sit-down just reading all that. Do be careful with your back! But at least progress is being made and you haven't murdered her yet

Rudy - good to hear DS is OK, but I bet he'll be glad when half term arrives. We have INSET days tomorrow and Friday, but have a packed schedule - no lazing about here. Mme Tussaud's and Oxford Street tomorrow with the DDs, then on Friday they are off to Thorpe Park Fright Night (thanks to Mr Tesco for the tickets for all of the above).

Rose - well done on your reading.....some day I'll make it to one. Midweek jaunts are extra tricky now I'm working FT, unfortunately.

Lalsy · 12/10/2016 13:43

MI, WAF, monty (I think), think your dc school is on R4 (for a fantastic reason Grin)

Lalsy · 12/10/2016 13:47

And oh my, Crem, you are a Trojan (is that right? it sounds wrong). Breathe and count the hours. You are an amazing daughter.

Rudy, it is good that ds getting such good care. I think about you often - must be so tiring to live with that worry.

Rosebag · 12/10/2016 13:50

Goodness Cremo you must watch out. This sounds too, too exhausting.

hatty How is the ringing in your ear? Are you going to get it checked out? Tinnitus runs in my family. No sign of it yet but I went through a phase of real eustachian tube dysfunction and I had constant tinnitus then...but it was more like white noise.

Rudy I'm sure that DS is being watched very carefully by the medical team. He's been doing well and I expect fatigue must be par for the course?

Tilly I guess the whole investigation thing can't be hurried. I hope DS is symptom free in the meanwhile.

I wonder what constituted a Tai Chi emergency? And how is DD MI?

MrsS are you back on UK soil? I too think 2 week holidays are too darn long...eventually I yearn for my own bed, my own space, the BBC and shepherds pie.

Well, today I am supposed to be fasting and repenting. I am doing neither, although the latter would take a lot more than one day to deal with. Instead I am wrestling with Survey Monkey; feeing desperate at how FAT I look in the Reading photos and like i just need it preparing a feast for 10 for tonight. I am also trying to work out how to hide from DM that instead of fasting and repenting, DS1 is at work, DS2 is in lectures and DD has decided to go to her BTEC classes and rehearsals. Judgement day is upon me. Shock

bigTillyMint · 12/10/2016 14:01

Cremo sounds like you're doing a fabulous job in all ways. It's nearly over - look after yourself for the last part. It's weird in the house when loads of stuff has gone - I couldn't stay at DMs when it got to that point and I am mucho relieved that it is now all gone.

CV, that sounds like a fun-filled inset!

Rose Grin at 2 week hols being too long - good job you're not married to my DH!

Bus morning with meetngs/observations from 8am, but as I got to work, I was sentitled away - the builders have caused a power cut. I am currently trying to force myself off the sofa and into the gym...

Blackduck · 12/10/2016 14:04

I have six slides.... it will have to be enough.... I will waffle round them......

Now I need to find something that fits to wear....

bigTillyMint · 12/10/2016 14:07

Well done BD Smile
