Oh I recall skinny dipping in Greece (why is it always Greece?) with dp back in the day...

BTM have you given me your sore throat? Feeling distinctly rundown...

Dreamqueen · 21/09/2016 06:45

Bon voyage Crem
No nude swimming here since I was a teenager and def no topless table tennis. But as I'm getting older, I'm less worried about flabby bits & bikinis.just wear it is my motto!
Not sure about that skirt rose but I like the red jumper.

Cremolafoam · 21/09/2016 06:54

Thanks everyone. Off we go......

Bradgelina- ooh its over.Shock

Blackduck · 21/09/2016 06:59

Cremo have the most fab time - you deserve it :)

bigTillyMint · 21/09/2016 07:12

Not me, BD - I didn't feel ill, I just couldn't speak!

Bon voyage CremoSmile

addle · 21/09/2016 07:16

Cremo - have a wonderful time! look forward to hearing about it

DP and I went nudey swimming about 5 years ago on very empty nudey beach in Corfu. DC found it excruciatingly embarrassing even though they were nowhere near at the time and only heard about it afterwards.

And think I probably already said, though not quite the same, one of the things I really liked about Spain was seeing lots of topless women on the beach, alongside topped women, all ages, shapes and sizes, all relaxed. Didn't feel like I'd seen it since the 80s - tiny bikinis yes, topless no.

Blackduck · 21/09/2016 07:21

then who? Really came out of no where and I feel pollaxed. If I can get to the end of tomorrow I will WFH Friday.

bigTillyMint · 21/09/2016 07:41

Addle, I am impressed! I can't imagine ever getting DH to go skinny dipping, even in the dark. Although he used to clean the bathroom in the buff Grin

motherinferior · 21/09/2016 08:19

I am quite prone to a bit of nudity still, sometimes forgetting to draw the curtains as I stroll about the Inferiority Complex. I am trying to curb this habit when the girls' friends are round, though I suppose I could provide an Object Lesson on the non-pornified adult female body...

Lalsy · 21/09/2016 08:34

Isn't that a bit dangerous BTM, what with squirty bleach stuff and all? Grin.

I have only skinny dipped in the place you and I like, WAF, by the big rock. Freezing and everyone covered in blue blotches wondering why this was a good idea.

bigTillyMint · 21/09/2016 09:40

Lalsy, skinny-dipping is ONLY for hot places (especially if you're a manWink), don'tcha know?!

Boring paperwork day here. Must concentrate.

motherinferior · 21/09/2016 09:47

Update on the beetroot: Not Entirely Sure. Am going to de-veganise the (large amount of) leftovers with goat cheese for lunch.Grin

wordassociationfootball · 21/09/2016 11:17

BTW the table tennis was a looking time ago.

Dd1 is doing a text by someone delicious I used to have ace bantz with in a ridiculous job eons ago. Weird. He is a mega talent.

Why not take 200mg/day of ferrous fumerate Herbs. You can get OTC.

MI that's made me all beamy, ta. She is LOVING it.

Rosebag · 21/09/2016 12:23

this is the other link In the black though.

CV I think maybe the skirt is more likely to fit in the mega sizes I need to order these days! However I often get that problem with lining in White Stuff skirts as well, although many of them aren't linked which presents other problems e.g. when wearing my opaques!

I'm not very good with nudity...my own, I mean. I am ashamed to say I have never been skinny dipping. Blush Topless, only when very thin and pert in my early 20's pre DC in Marbella. Like sleeping nude though on account of hot flushes these days

I have had breakfast with Maestro The Terrible who suddenly got in touch last week. Confused Then, have been consulting with the printers about the scripts. He is printing them and binding them as we speak...eeeek!! They look dead posh and authentic. Shortly I am consulting with next door neighbour film maker, about photography and making a short for the website about the Play workshopping. Tonight seeing DD's first presentation...at the theatre. She tells me she is being lifted up by a boy in the dance Grin.

Collymollypuff · 21/09/2016 12:34

I'm so naked, me.

motherinferior · 21/09/2016 12:46

A small S&B aside: do not slosh around leftover beetroot in a white top.Blush

bigTillyMint · 21/09/2016 12:58

Oh no, MI - that's the sort of thing I do Angry

I have actually been quite productive today, but I feel that I am going to run out of power soon...

motherinferior · 21/09/2016 13:08

I've sold another pieceGrin- not a huge amount but nice topic (vision problems in children with learning disabilities) which I am pretty good on.

Collymollypuff · 21/09/2016 13:26

Alys Fowler recommends growing white beetroot for this very reason. Mind you, you do have to grow it - I've never seen it on sale.

Rosebag · 21/09/2016 16:23

White beetroot...wow, I have never heard of that!

Really good news MI about the piece!

Crepeys....is anyone, or do you know of anyone with time to spare next week to be scribe at my workshop?

motherinferior · 21/09/2016 16:44

I am hoping to be working by then...sorry, my love.

motherinferior · 21/09/2016 16:49

In S&B further news I found a lovely tomato-red shirt dress (celebrating my Grey Pride), thin but opaque cotton with a bit of stretch in it, originally H&M but really rather classy, retro and cheering especially with lipstick and bosoms, in the chazzer for £8 at lunchtime...

...then I got home and realised I'd left my keys in the library (library fob is attached) so had to trot back for them, ahem.

herbaceous · 21/09/2016 18:29

Rose - when is this scribing? What does it involve? And, most importantly, is there money involved?

JustmeandtheChickens · 21/09/2016 18:53

There you all are!

Just caught up on the new thread - thanks MrsS!!

I remember an embarrassing moment at my local swimming pool when I was a teenager - my pale pink swimsuit went completely see-thru when wet (worse than if it had been white), I discovered, when the lifeguard came and asked me to put a swimsuit on!!

Who was it who asked about menopause supplements? I take high strength VitC, Omega 3, Eve Primrose oil, Vit D and Vit B Complex - seems to be working apart from sometimes feeling more emotional than I'm used to!

Brain fog also seems to be lifting - have have so far spent all week problem solving successful - phew, that's a relief. I have truly felt like I've been losing my marbles at some points this year!

In other news - I am home alone 2moro night as DH is away at a Conference. I will be having a favourite supper of lambs kidneys, which isn't often cooked chez JustMe as DH is veggie and hates the smell (which I completely understand).

Stropperella · 21/09/2016 19:12

Happy New Thread, Crepeys (thanks, MrsS).
I am celebrating small things to lift my mood here at Stropps Mansions. Our first blue chicken egg! Yay! (no, dh, it is not blue all the way through, you numpty). Ds, who famously has 2 left feet, is in the school footie team for the first time ever and is pleased as punch. He was also chosen for the school rugby team, but has turned that down, as he found his first experience of contact rugby altogether too hurty (has previously played only tag rugby). And he is doing his red belt in taekwando in 2 weeks - which means he will be only one belt away from his first dan black belt. Not bad for someone who is not naturally sporty and is somewhat traditionally built, as it were.
Dd, ah well, dd... I do not know exactly what is going on. I asked yesterday via FB if she had managed to register etc and got a curt message back to say it was all 'fine'. I do not know whether it is actually fine or not. I will have to wait and see. CV, in answer to your question on the previous thread, she has indeed been informed about how I/we feel about things. On more than one occasion. But her modus operandi is to ignore anything she doesn't like and pretend that things will jolly well turn out how she wants them to, whatever. I slightly struggled today with someone I encountered through work, whose attitude appears similar. Ho hum.
