Why don't you go your separate ways for the day/part of it, MrsS?

Cremo, sending strength to you. I did have a similar problem with 2nd hand people wanting notice, but at least there are charity shops that will collect here.

I have finally managed to dig out a huge clump of agapanthus which had had their day, stuck unhelpfully under/right on the trunk of the apple tree. The roots are something elseShock

BD, any news?

herbaceous · 09/10/2016 15:15

I have never waxed my lip. I've always felt my freckles tend to disguise any hints of handlebar moustache, though could be firmly in denial. Easily done, when one is long-sighted and can't see flaws in the mirror.

I too am having a day of Vague Dissatisfaction. Partly brought on by only three people so far signing up for my grammar workshop. And partly as on an en masse Facebook message I did to about 30 chums on the matter, DS's BFF's mum said, 'I think I need to get a job before spending money on such luxuries'. Thus a) putting people off who might otherwise have paid up, and b) pissing on my chips. It's extra annoying as she's a total stickler for manners and 'playing nicely', and I think she's been pretty rude and unsupportive.

I'm feeling a bit friendless at the moment, so naturally DP has gone out to the pub. With a friend. Bah.

motherinferior · 09/10/2016 15:57

Thank you, Lalsy: I sorted clothes and had a choc ice Grinand read a book and now I'm going to do singing practice.

Mr Inferior appears to be still miffed with me.

I am sick of feeling so crappy on Sundays I don't do half the things I ought to do. We have loads of pictures we need to put up. I know it would only take 15 minutes but it feels so daunting.

herbaceous · 09/10/2016 16:03

Right. I've promoted my course further, got one more participant, and am now going to do some exercises - Canadian air force things BD once extolled. Then I might do some bassoon practice! There are, shock horror, some solos in the stuff in my new orchestra.

Lalsy · 09/10/2016 16:10

MI, good. I have to confess that on a couple of occasions I have got handymen in to do that sort of thing. As a freelance, it seems good VFM and the rattle though stuff with all the right tools but I still get the feeling of satisfaction. I haven't got much done either today and have to lurk cos ds is a bit up against it work and UCAS-wise and I may (just may) be able to be useful. Am going to sort some clothes - top idea!

Herbs, not supportive.

Depilation - am intrigued by epistick but don't like the pain aspect. Ad haven't got a microwave. Mmm.

Magi, hope you feel better.

Collymollypuff · 09/10/2016 16:38

Well done on the agapanthus, BTM. I've found a gardening offer for three plants with the name Daphne Odorata Rebecca, which I'm thinking of buying for the front garden. I know Crepeys will agree that it's name is most attractive, and it will smell fab.

Collymollypuff · 09/10/2016 16:39

Its! Its! Its!

Rosebag · 09/10/2016 16:42

Hello lovely Crepeys. Trying to catch up still..

Welcome to newbies who have decided to brave the Crepe. Please do stay and join the partaaaayyy.

Great BD....looking forward too hearing about the new arrival. Smile

Get well soon, Magi is it time for a visit to the Docs...are you sure it's still a virus after all that time? Flowers

Tilly echoing what other Crepeys have said re exotic infection...however DS sounds a picture of health and energy. Maybe its just hereditary as CV says. Please try not to worry.Flowers

Crem Flowers also to you for putting up with aged parents and trying to deal with the property remotely. You must be well fed up.

I have not yet tacked my lady 'tache. As I think herbs said up thread, my ageing eyesight is a blessing in this respect...until I look in the rear view mirror when driving on a sunny day.....screams Shock

Herbs you are not friendless...you have us Smile We are your friends.

MrsS this sounds like a good holiday, you're having across the pond. As you know I get to a point of hopeless fatigue on all my holidays and have to call a halt to museums and the like. Macy's sounds just the thing.

Well that was my pathetic attempt at catching up. Sorry to whomsoever that I missed. It's not personal. I haven't been this busy or distracted from every day life for as long as I can remember. Thanks to you all for the support...I will see many of you in the bar tomorrow night, I'm sure. I've been working around the clock on updates and changes to the script...including well into the small hours, when I was on conference in Birmingham on Friday and Saturday..... and on the iPad everything takes three times as long. Still the conference was good and I got to spend time with DS2 who has settled very well and actually, I've rarely seen him happier.

Quite Sexy Young Director and I are nearly on the same page about most but not all things. He has gone with my non negotiables and I am learning to trust him a bit more. Crepeys...whoever is there tomorrow will you please FFS laugh at the jokes? Please. Loudly. Raucously. Sidesplittingly.

I am now going to engage in some mundane chores like descaling the iron and making chicken soup in a vain attempt to normalise my life. Grin

Collymollypuff · 09/10/2016 16:53

Rose, I'm so sorry I won't be there, but I will laugh uproariously during my boring but essential event and hope it reaches you. Grin Have a fab time, Crepeys - I know you will do.

Blackduck · 09/10/2016 17:32

Dp at service station waiting for Flash...

I haven't done much today but I don't care much either.

Rose I hope it all goes wonderfully well tomorrow.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 09/10/2016 17:36

Theatre going Crepes, definitely ip for a pre performance drink! What time shall we try to meet in the bar? 6.45?

Break a leg Rose! X

Herbs, I think I might calmly challenge unsupportive friend - it's fine that she doesn't want to come for whatever reason - not so fine to be posting that on your fb page... FFS. Course publicity looks v good. Do you have any hard copy flyers? If so bring a few tomorrow and I'll hand them out to likely punters in my neck of the woods.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 09/10/2016 17:37

Gah.

Cremolafoam · 09/10/2016 17:48

Oh BD

Rose, wishing you every success tomorrow night. Lots and lots of love and luck.Flowers

I have fast lady-walked and had a coffee with old friend in hipster cafe, which was full of hipsters and their offspring ( September and Levi, I believe ) sucking down £8 choccamoccalattes. don't start me
Dfs daughter is 3weeks in to her degree course and wanting to come home. Oh dear. Sadshe also has parents determined to spend it all in crazy unthoughtabout plans and schemes. It was good to compare notes.
Am home with do , having a little weep about going away tomorrow. Need to MTFUP.Confused

GiddyGiddyGoat · 09/10/2016 18:01

We'll be thinking of you Crem and willing you on with the clearing out and the parent wrangling. Weep away if it will help.

BD, Sooooo exciting! Awaiting doggy updates with excitement!

Lalsy · 09/10/2016 18:02

6.45 is fine, may make it a bit earlier.

Oh Crem Sad.

wordassociationfootball · 09/10/2016 18:07

Crem, just try not to kill her. Anything else is a bonus Grin

I will get to Rose's reading as early as I can.

Herbs, that is a very strange comment. Seems ti be bollicking herself out loud for not having a job apart from anything else.

Me too looking forward to Flash news.. .Newsflash??

herbaceous · 09/10/2016 18:07

No hard copy fliers as yet - would have been a good wheeze, GGG. And yes - I would like to call her on it. She knows I've been planning to do it for ages, and that I'm a damn sight more skint than her.

Rose. I will guffaw with full gusto. I have a little sound machine with 'laughter' effect I could bring too.

Crem. Have a cry, then a gin. And remember it will all be over relatively quickly. Can you arrange something nice to do upon your return?

motherinferior · 09/10/2016 18:10

DP has put up pics. I advised and made helpful remarks about his Mighty Tools.

Crem and others with bonkers APsFlowersWine

I will arrive and larf loudly.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 09/10/2016 18:12

Herbs, if you want cheap printing these people are fantastic! I would want some A5 flyers so that you can leave a few in likely local places - cafes etc.

www.solopress.com/

Blackduck · 09/10/2016 18:16

Cremo much strength...

Dp at wrong services - dioah - she's north, he's south... hopefully coordinating in five minutes!!!

herbaceous · 09/10/2016 18:23

Exciting BD! Woof!

I have a printer, through which I have designed the flyers. Only a tenner for a couple of hundred, double-sided...

GiddyGiddyGoat · 09/10/2016 18:29

Sorted!

Lalsy · 09/10/2016 18:41

Woof! Woof! Excitement mounting!

Batting for you, Rose. Get some sleep, woman!

Also, I think "luxuries" is unnecessary, even if you were not involved, Herbs. Once basic subsistence is sorted, everything - and nothing - is a luxury depending on what is important to you and your family and it is really rather rude to comment like that on other people's choices, IMO [gazes lovingly at new fitbit].

herbaceous · 09/10/2016 18:45

I know. The more I think about it, the more irritating it is. Naturally, she accompanied it with one of those 'kiss' emoticons, so it was a 'joke', so if I were to take offence I look like a humourless killjoy.

Planning tomorrow's lesson. If I get this new job, I am never going to work on Sunday evenings.
