I can confirm that hospitals are the worst place to be when you have drunk a shit load of vodka and wine the night before.

Went out to a friend's 40th birthday. The DJ was someone I knew from my clubbing days (hadn't seen him for 10 years!). He told me I haven't changed a bit so I am hanging onto that compliment for dear life.
Wore HL red dress, black Dune heels and McQ clutch. Black Gucci cuff watch and black TS ring. Danced badly to any old shite that was playing and loads of photo booth fun.
Am cooking a roast dinner now with extra Yorkshire puddings to recover.
QueenC not sure what you do ATM skincare wise but mine is the best it has ever been by following Caroline Hirons blog and skincare advice. Double cleansing and acids have been a revelation.

Happy planning application, great! I've extended my home 3 times, most recently a couple of years ago. Bifold doors in the kitchen transformed the room, feel as if my garden is inside almost.

Dream my over packing wasn't really toiletries although I took way too much suncream and 1 bottle too much shampoo
I'm lasy on holidays....take 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner don't frizz though and face cleansing wipes. Just small bottle of moisturiser. Ofcourse my make up.

We're putting approx 4m X 7m single storey extension on the back of house that'll create a big open plan kitchen/dining/living area with 5m of glass along the back looking out into back garden Kitchen will stay where it is just be enhanced. Think we've decided on giant sliding doors rather than bifolds. I just can't wait to get in with it but still waiting on building warrant. Annoyingly, we'd probably be well underway by now if we hadn't been delayed by the complaints/committee shenanigans. Hey ho, main thing is we got our permission..

So, I have to mention my outfit today as its inspired by Linus (big shout out to you). I got this this j crew plaid boyfriend shirt on my travels last week (finally some clothes!!) which I wore with black j crew toothpick jeans. My hair was carefully styled and make up applied. I wondered whether it was a bit much for a Sunday morning kids party. Then got there and the host was wearing a beautiful Ralph Lauren top with Armani skinnies and half the guests were similarly attired and clutching designer bags.

Evening all

Bit of a lost weekend for me - went out for lunch on Friday, got home at, ahem, 4am Saturday. Yesterday was spent mostly recovering - cinema date with DH and dinner out with the kids. Today has been usual round of errands/homework/kids' parties.

Lowlands arrived and I wore on Friday with a black, robbed, cold shoulder jumper dress from RI and bare legs. Went down very well with DH and every van driver within a 10 mile radius. Love. Them.

Tights are on today for the first time in months, it's nippy this morning! Ootd is blue and black leopard print dress by Michael Kors, my trusty black Zara jacket, black Gucci hobo bag and Valentino stiletto shoe boots.

I told dh i was going to get a new Burberry trench coat and Valentino ankle boots out of my end of year bonus and he pursed his lips. Such a killjoy.

No fashion news whatsoever, instead want to concentrate on sorting out my grey looking skin out this week with a glycolic peel and try some new products, feel dried up like a raisin.

Also am feeling completely uninspired by the black tie dress issue, the only ones I really like are too expensive like the gorgeous ones lib pinned. Would be very grateful for any ideas anyone may have.

I've just spent the morning in the eye hospital a+e as my eye is still feeling gritty. Apparently underneath my eyelids are really irritated and I had a calcium deposit that was causing the problem that she removed. I get really queasy about eyes especially when she was turning my eyelids inside out . On steroid drops for a week so sadly no eyelas tint or mascara this week for me.

No fashion news-still unshowered and in cycling gear. Need to sort myself before the school run!

Mara I can relate to the despondency about skin - I succumbed to laser treatments a year or so ago and have been so pleased with the results ....and I am sure no one in RL suspects a thing! The downsides are that it is addictive and expensive....

I tried on some silver Grenson loafers today and think I'm in love. A friend was selling them but they were sadly a bit small. I don't really need more silver shoes but they did look great with a denim skirt & opaques. I also love their brogues.

They used to get a lot of Grenson on the Outnet Stokey

QueenC hope you are feeling a bit brighter (despite eye issues). I also use facial oils and can recommend. I usually just buy from TKMaxx and recently had an argan oil based one which was good.

I am the opposite of Shop in that I really don't get on with acid toning but it does work for so many people.

No fashion news here. I got my m&s sales preview email and the only thing I was tempted by was some pants for DD, so decided not to bother. I did wear the m&s leopard flats again at the weekend and they are comfortable. So am pleased I went with those.

Well, I am knackered and on the wine tonight. First day of a Site Management Health & Safety course today - I don't know one end of a site from the other (yet)! Luckily I do know risk assessments and controls so It could be worse

I don't know what I'll do in October - course is every Monday for the next 5 weeks and I am doing Sober October - must've been drunk when I thought that one up!!
