DM phoned me today. Still no news on DF's biopsy. Somewhere the communication between hospitals has broken and Harefield are saying they won't operate until a CT scan has taken place. Which means a procedure that should have taken place last week is delayed. DF is deteriorating and DM is concerned. They see the doctor tomorrow soon wouldn't be surprised is DF is readmitted for another drain. So tough right now.

I'd love to try going grey but don't have enough grey yet - according to my hairdresser who does my colouring but it would take some management to actually do so gracefully I reckon.

Love those shoes Viva - I saw someone on the tube wearing either them or similar with black opaques and she looked fab.

I returned my defective (unworn) belt to MD yesterday and they very reluctantly gave me a refund but I still had to have 'a discussion' about it. After that I couldn't bring myself to buy a couple of tops I really liked: this one and this one

I have had white hairs (not grey, bright, bright white, which shows up a treat against my almost black hair) since I was 16. I wouldn't mind but they are a completely different texture to my normal hair, so really stand out!

In fashion news, I have sorta, kinda purchased some SW lowlands, so we'll see what they look like. My leopard pencil skirt arrived and I'm feeling it. Other than that I don't think I've done a lot of shopping...

Shop hugs my lovely. I read an interview with Kirsty Allsop after her mother died - she was ill for a long time. She said they had to adopt an attitude that they and not the hospital or GP were in charge of care. I think this is true unfortunately. Makes caring an exhausting process though.

Love the apc trench mara I tried on the barbara style you linked and its on my wishlist, haven't seen this one irl, is it a more flared fit? I must say I preferred it on me to Burberry, the cut was better for my shape, although that was at the Burberry outlet where the trenches may be different/made for outlet.
I haven't actually used my bag yet, I was planing to get it out this week, look forward to using it but have a feeling it will scratch easily. Love the suede one you linked such a gorgeous colour, I am tempted.
That's annoying re MD fedup but those tops are very nice esp the burgundy stripe.
amber love the lowlands, what colour did you go for?
My hair is mostly white now seemed to skip the grey. Home dyes don't work on it anymore I have to get it done at a salon. I think it may be a vitamin or mineral deficiency that makes it worse too.

These lib. I got black justa, on the basis that I'm planning on getting the Highlands in charcoal.

scary moment last night when my toaster set on fire!! good job i knew what to do and it didn't become a large fire. as much as i hate my neighbour, they are elderly and i would have worried about getting them out of the building. all is well although i didnt get any toast!

lib oh no, nothing worse than getting clothing a bit wrong for the weather. Hard on days like today though when starts out miserable but now sunny and warm. Loved your comment about decadent dressing in velvet with a cigarette holder . Meet you at the Connaught bar swathed in our luxury nightwear for a coupe of champagne . APC is on Lexington St btw, top (north) end.

With all the pyjama luxe around at the moment am tempted to wear my silk equipment pj shirt out out tomorrow night, dh looked horrified at the thought but am seriously considering if can work out what to wear on bottom half.

justa yes I think the half moon leather is fragile, must be something you can treat it with though. Not sure what but know lots on here use sprays. The greta mac is a slightly different cut to the khaki one, little bit shorter and more a-line but not sticky outy. The SA said they've done shorter ones before but these mid length are best sellers so they've made them classics to be repeated every season.

Just popping in to say "hello!". Not much fashion news to report. It's 27 degrees where I am, so it's last wear of my favourite summer work clothes. I am supposed to have a few hours to shop today but Its just occurred to me that the post Brexit weakness of sterling means i might not buy much! Boo.

Loved your trench Mara. Inspired by you, I tried on a velvet dressing gown dress but it didn't do much for me.

I have also tried on most pleated midi skirts on the high street and have yet to find one that doesn't make my hips look massive. So I may just give up.

I did buy a cord pinafore though and a reversible bomber.
