Poor miniLibSmile Hopefully we can have her and miniShop over to play at some point to make up for it!

I think I finally have holiday sorted out. The cost of it is so ridiculous that if Dh raises one eyebrow about a purchase in the next year, I will kick his arse. Plus it means I have to keep up my exercise regime for the next 12 months instead of having my winter slob off.Hmm

Stokey, i don't open boring envelopes either!Blush That's where Dh has his uses!

On the fashion front, I went to pick up my grey lowlands today. And went to M&S kiddies department to get this years Christmas jumper.Grin

HappyGirlNow · 15/10/2016 16:57

Was someone looking for amimal print heels?

I got these sandals and these shoes which are much nicer in real life, they're a bit shimmery!

HappyGirlNow · 15/10/2016 16:59

Got these high heels too..

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/10/2016 18:05

Enjoying a thread catch up with a nice glass of wine!

blingy nice MK dress. Very sensible deeds do you deserve a treat! Do you like your lowlands? Grin at getting your Xmas jumper from the kids section! Enjoy your night out.

happy you are a shoe and bag demon!! 👠👜😈

Like dry I'd be interested in seeing what a personal shopper picked out for me. What I would like a personal jeans 'experience' as I am still missing that elusive pair of 'perfect' jeans but hate shopping for jeans and trekking round different places. I keep meaning to go to the jean 'genius' place in selfridges but haven't made it yet. Any one ever been?

Stokey · 15/10/2016 18:36

I did Everyone, it was really helpful. There was no obligation to buy. I went wanting a pair of mid-rise straight jeans and ended up with some high-rise skinnies as we decided they suited me better.

They have a huge range and you can specify what you'd like to spend. I didn't actually buy at the time, went off and found my Paige Hoxtons £50 cheaper online.

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/10/2016 19:03

Thanks stokey, sounds like it's worth a visit then.

libertydoddle · 15/10/2016 20:23

I did it too everyone and like Stokey ended up with Paige Hoxton skinnies too. I bought them there though at full silly price!

Speaking of which, I pulled them out today and they fitted Smile I couldn't get into them 6 months ago so that's saved me buying new jeans.

Blingy you really have got the opposite to me - I have the grey highlands and the black lowlands!

Out tonight wearing my t by Alexander wang strappy dress, Gucci zebra heels and givenchy Rottweiler clutch.

QueenCobalt · 16/10/2016 09:23

I was totally outshopped by dd yesterday. I was almost crying with exhaustion by the end of it Grin. Hurrah for H&M though who seem to be one of the only places that do trousers to fit older girls-a lot of stores only go up to age 12 that aren't cut for developing hips. And she's not yet big enough for size 6s.

I'm now out of my gap denim rut and extended my jean collection further with 2 pairs from oasis. They fit really nicely around my menopausal tum and short is the perfect length for legs. Just hope they wash and wear well.

Also tried a collection of Charlotte tilbury lipsticks. Couldn't buy one as they only had a small demo stall in the middle of the shopping centre until the concession opens fully in JL next week. Will order the one I like though.

QueenCobalt · 16/10/2016 09:37

Because obviously I will end up looking like Miranda kerr Grin

maradesbois · 16/10/2016 11:07

Morning!

Aargh, hate this damp weather, have friends staying and wanted to do a long walk in the autumn sun but not to be.

QueenC what shape jeans did you go for? I can't tell from the link. Btw was in office on Friday and saw your velvet shoes, fab!!

Also saw your Lkb dress in the window Everyone, styled with velvet shoes same shape as QueenC's. It looked great.

Amber as I said returned the choos but ended up swapping for ones even more sparkling. Will attach a pic.

Tbh their policy is a pita, if you buy in a stand alone store you cannot get a refund, only exchange. If you buy in department store or online you are covered but not in the boutiques. Think this is so stupid but fell in love with these party shoes so am happy. Haven't shown dh all my new stuff yet, he notices everything, even when not new just not worn for a while he asks. Not in a negative way but it still annoys me that can't slip anything past with stealth!

Blingy love the new mk dress for you.

Am not sure about personal shopper, would have said no but had so much fun with the guy at Marant the other day.

Dry love your party dress, looks like an excellent choice.

Hola, loads going on on here!

Fedup & QueenC not yet, I really want one of the GR ones, but feel bad paying fp

Justa not great at burgundy, one colour I can't really do

Bernice yes defo swapping! This Rag&Bone is currently what I commute in and find those bordering on annoying. I like to wear flats to get to work. So I'd keep these at work and swap for sure. Just whether I can handle the pressure of high boots all day. I do find them easier than proper heels which I couldn't do.

Matches code coming to an end, so need to decide, I love the MyTheresa ones more, but no discount. Does anyone know if they have sent one yet? I usually get a good, but general one each season, for high amounts, I may have seen it earlier and deleted it Sad
Or perhaps it's yet to come.

Or I could get the dark green Marant ones

MarshaBrady · 16/10/2016 11:14

Mara so gorgeous!

shopafrolic · 16/10/2016 12:14

Marsha I have a £100 Matches code off £300 spend if any use to you?
Mara simply beautiful

Longislandicetee · 16/10/2016 12:20

Oh my goodness Mara I love love love those shoes!Envy

Marsha, I commute in my R&B ballet flats in spring and summer and my shoe boots in a/w.

Dh and I had a great night out last night. Early supper and then theatre. It was pouring with rain and I was a bit Hmm about wearing my suede boots. I figured he would buy me another one if they were ruined!!

MarshaBrady · 16/10/2016 12:39

Shop ah that's nice, I have that one too, but I prefer the MyTheresa ones, so I'm stalling!

Blingy hope they survived!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/10/2016 12:58

those shoes are fab mara love a bit of sparkle on things like shoes or bags.

must decide on two tees to get rid of since i got two new ones yesterday. think i know which two will go and tbf, they are a bit tatty now anyway so not the greatest loss really. I also bought a black and white star print shirt which i am wearing today with a black and white polka dot skirt. love clashing patterns but i try to keep to tied together with either matching or toning colours. I'm glad i sized up in the shirt though as any smaller and i wouldn't have been able to get it on!

hope your boots survived the rain blingy

Everyonelovessparkles · 16/10/2016 13:03

queenc sounds like you and your DD had a successful day.

Those shoes are gorgeous mara. That refund policy is a bit ridiculous for such a high end brand. My LKB dress is due for delivery tomorrow. Thanks for the idea on the styling, will have another look at queenc's shoes.

blingy glad you enjoyed your night out. It was tipping it down last night. Grin at making your DH buy a new pair if they got ruined in the rain.

marsha could you buy the boots from matches with your code but not wear them immediately in case a mytheresa one comes through soon? Or do you want to wear them immediately?

libertydoddle · 16/10/2016 15:08

Those shoes are fantastic Mara. The 'no returns' policy in high end stores freaks me out. I buy everything with 'I can always return' at the back of my mind.

QueenC when DSis was that age I used to get her basics in M&S as they go up to age 13/14 and Gap have a range for that age group too. And Boden. Then get tops etc in the trendier shops.

HappyGirlNow · 16/10/2016 16:10

Lovely shoes mara 😍

Longislandicetee · 16/10/2016 21:00

Lib that's why I don't buy directly from lk bennet, because their returns policy is rubbish like that! Always better to buy from John Lewis.

HappyGirlNow · 16/10/2016 21:46

Evening all!

Just back from our fave tapas restaurant. Wasn't the same without cava meh

Hey ho - halfway there..

OOTE was my new Office Lucky Charm boots (black), black skinnies, black slouchy v-neck sweater, black padded Zara bomber and my burgundy YSL cross body bag.

Well.. its LOVE! ❤️ Can't remember last time I loved wearing something as much as my new boots, totally made the outfit, soo happy I took a chance and ordered them Grin

AdoraBell · 16/10/2016 21:54

Love those shoes Grin

15 yr old DD showed me those on line yesterday, she was hinting that I might buy them for her Hmm

I also only buy from stores that will do a refund, usually on line too. Glad you are so happy with the new boots Happy

AmberNectarine · 16/10/2016 22:41

If you do want to buy from a store with a nonsense policy like that, do it online - distance selling regs mean they have to offer a full refund. Agree it's ridiculous!

Had such a lovely weekend - shame it's over!
