Everyone I really love that dress, beautiful colour ........ But if you need putting off, I never wear current stuff to a wedding because, and I speak from experience, another guest could turn up in the same dress don't worry though, despite looking fabulous I hopped back in a taxi, whizzed home, got changed, missed the ceremony, had to be dropped off at end of long drive, snuck onto terrace hiding behind hedges and joined DH who had a glass of champers ready never again

Re knitwear.....merino is the best wool for me. Love the stuff, silky, not itchy and washes well. Don't own a single piece of cashmere.

Oh and I've snapped out of fashion wallowing and am back.

mara it was a risk I've never bought from P8 before but I had exhausted the search. Anyway - I'm very happy with it. The belt is great, and the tan piping and gold hardware make it look smart.

shop great to hear DF is home, that must be really nice for him. I think it would definitely be worth you seeking out some long enough OTK boots, they would look amazing on you.

I've got the skirt in the attached photo, although I've put on some weight since I bought it, I dread to think what the split would do if I sat down in it at the moment - like someone said earlier, I'd be looking like I was up for a hook up 😂

I've ordered the dress. I figured I would just keep thinking about it,so at least if I try it I will know what it looks like on and if I like it enough to keep. If I do keep it though, I might have to impose a spending ban!

All the talk of merino and cashmere is timely, my circulation is really bad so I'm always cold... Snuggly jumpers all the way for me. Have a few gap merinos and cashmere from various places which I usually hand wash. Have my eye on a jigsaw roll neck but have developed a hankering for Bella Freud until it's full on layers and roll neck time. Probably the red 1970 but I can't decide if it's a bit over/seen on too many?

Mara yes I am wearing the 2 clic clacs together this week but my intention is to wear the orange for fun with jeans and the navy if I want to be more "formal". The Choos were the right item to give up but they are lovely!!

Don't mention the pound Blingy. I find it hugely ironic that the whole Brexit thing started with a bunch of anti Europe Tories, most of whom are also very involved in keeping UK out of the Euro and now the end result is a currency that in a best case will have parity with the Euro. Idiots

And breathe....back to clothes. OOTD leopard print loafers, orange Me &Em shift dress, deeply unfashionable nude tights, Goat cashmere v neck cardigan, a scarf with floral pattern in various shades of green and brown, teal Hobbs oversized coat. Navy Pliage. Feel like I have slightly to much going on with this outfit

Ootd is boring-pine green jumper and jeans. Navy coat and damson scarf to go out. I think pine green and damson is my new favourite colour combo.

Your outfit sounds nice lib as does yours queenc. That colour combo sounds nice and autumnal. I always seem to revert to black in winter which is a habit I'm trying to break as it does get a bit boring.

Funniest thing is, I brought them home and showed DH. He said 'I thought you were going to get those long ones?' (meaning the Highlands). I said 'I did get them... I wore them out with you on Friday'. He hadn't even noticed! Makes me think I could get a lot more past him!

Thanks everyone. Weirdly I hardly wear black anymore despite being a winter and allowed to wear it. I have black trousers and love a lbd but much prefer navy.
