QueenC DD is taking a River Island short skater style, off the shoulder dress in red which she will wear when I'm not wearing my red dress! and a TS cream very short strappy kind of skater dress. Found some reasonable height black peep tied wedges. She's got short jump suits and shorts and cute tops for other nights. Taking black skinnies too I think. Bit of a chip off the lock, it's fun packing together.

And Dream if I saw you unloading all of your bottles at the tip I'd think you'd just had a brilliant party! Glad your dinner went well.

I think when Bernice says some of us she may mean most all of us

Today was such a fashion fail that I am not sure where it all went wrong. My dress was too short but I have worn it before but with tights. It was baaad!

My first thought at Blair's post may or may not have been 'squeeeee a mnv baby' Hope you're feeling better today blair

I missed all the links last night as was sitting in the garden drinking wine with dh - almost wish I'd been on here! I love the Gucci dress but I think the red HL has your name written all over it Blingy; the LKB dress in cherry is divine too.

Shame about the leopard print trainers Bernice but the boots are lush.

Loving all the dress links and agree that Amber set a great benchmark with the red HL. My immediate thought was this budget buster but i reckon the HL trumps it.

Oh I love a bargain, fashion fate strikes with this fascinator . I'm normally not a fan of whimsy fascinators, but this, whilst not as statement as normal, is actually very nice and £59....I paid £25! It's anthracite, v dark grey, looks great with my Whistles Bella Blues,greens and black and my Karen Milken blues/blacks wiggle dress why can't I link past season stuff from my pinterest? . For something I will wear once I'm just not prepared to pay £££.

I have decided to keep the givenchy flats, after trying them on a few times and boring dh half to death I have got used to the pointiness, they work very well with casual and smarter outfits and the colour keeps them quite understated. Something to confess, after spending £££ on a preloved chloe marcie earlier in the year I just sold it on ebay. I didn't use it a single time I felt such guilts about it but every time I got it out it just didn't work for me. Such a gorgeous bag but not for me. Ironically I probably would have used the mini marcie that I returned more. I have realised that I either use small cross body type bags like the disco or shopper styles. Luckily I think after all the fees I break even on what I paid, phew!

Good find dry that will look lovely with the dress, dark grey much better than black too.

Justa the Marcie is a gorgeous bag but hard to use because it doesn't really go well with a suit or dress so it's a bit clunky for formal but it's too heavy and impractical to use casually with young children. I think I relegated mine to if I was wearing smart casual, blazer, jeans and white shirt then it's a great bag but otherwise difficult. I did it use it a lot when I first got it because I loved it so much.

Today's outfit is so much better than yesterday. After yesterday's horror show I have gone with black Roland Mouret, Valentino love latch shoes and grey Givenchy Antigona bag. Not wildly exciting but classic. Oh and bling. No earrings or necklace thank goodness my mum can't see me but very blingtastic!

Still in gym clothes after doing killer body dvd. Will just put on jeans and a navy top as not going anywhere today in this weather. Sil is arriving later which will be good company for the dc to have their cousins to play with. Mil arrives on Friday. I already feel my dread rising.

Todays outfits sound good, Blingy/Dry/shop (not boring when each of the items is so fab!). I am in a dull J crew combo of grey Tippi and tomato red Cafe Capri trousers. Miserable weather here!

Another strep infection Queen. Back on a 10 day course of antibiotics.

it's a slobby day today as i'm dying my Dsis's hair later so ripped knee blue jeans and an adventure time tee, didn't see the point in putting something 'nice' on to potentially ruin it with hair dye

Commiserations to all who are not feeling 100% today. I was at the doctors at 8.30am before they opened hoping to get an emergency appointment. I've had a dry cough thats got persistently worse for 4 weeks. I'm on steroids for 6 days now. Hoping to get decent sleep tonight instead of being propped up coughing and spluttering.

dream we lost our beloved cat in a traffic accident. Very sad, but he was a free-spirited little bugger.

Thanks for kind wishes all, I'm bearing up ok. The shock was the worst thing. He brought a lot of joy to our lives and we were very lucky to have him. We will get another cat in the autumn because it doesn't feel like home without one. He can't be replaced but it feels like a nice tribute.
