So Ambers first link, the papaya HL dress is a hit and its on its way to me! Totally love it, and showed it to dh who...err loved the idea probably a bit too much.

I love Everyone's Jenny Packham link. It's a gorgeous dress and my finger hovered over the buy button for a bit but it's probably too drapey for me, as when I have had a drink and am throwing shapes on the dance floor, I don't want to be conscious about revealing anything.

Love Peach's link but it's probably too serious for the occasion. However, omg, I love that website, and am going back in a minute to have a proper look around. How have I not heard of them before?!!

The Gucci dress is also on its way, QueenC to me though now I am worried that the sequins are too much. If I said it doesn't have to be sequinned but just a knock out party dress, would you have linked something else?

I should add, without wanting to give too much away that we will be doing a photo shoot with a photographer before the party begins hence my sudden panic about the dress . Loses all her MNV friends

I loved last night's dress chat, was reading but didn't post as it was after I suddenly felt very ill yesterday at a family party, luckily wasn't sick but nearly , but anyway came home and had an early night. Blingy I think you will look AMAZING in the papaya HL, it is absolutely stunning and I'm not surprised at your DH's reaction! I don't think the Gucci is your colour.

a good time was had by all & my indian food was a hit. I feel fine today I stuck to gin, woke up clear headed at 6am & started tidying up.

Can't wait to see what they look like blingy. Sequins were hard to find but I didn't really see anything else that jumped out at me as they were all too work-y.

I've sent most of my recent orders back - the Maison Scotch jumpsuit was awful and I couldn't take it off quickly enough! Shame as it was a lovely print. I initially tried just the right foot of the leopard trainers and really liked them but when I got the left one out, the pattern didn't match at all! It would have annoyed me everytime I looked down, so back they went.

I have kept the Hudson boots - see pic.

We have started having people over for lunch more in an effort to be more sociable - always do something easy like slow cooked / roasted meat / chilli / curries which can mainly be done before hand. Takes some of the pressure off as does
