Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

Amazing ring Blingy & congratulations on your anniversary.

To do clever linky things Peach just use description

I am nursing a bit of a hangover. I was at a friend's party last night, wearing the black Hush jumpsuit and the Sam Edelman wedges. I'm pretty unimpressed with the quality of the wedges - this was only the second time I word them and the soles are already splitting from the wood at the front. Glad I paid a fraction of the price.

Menu sounds lush as always Dry. Hope your party today goes well Dream.

Inspired by the jumpsuit's success, I've just ordered a playsuit from Boden. I would have liked the one Kitty got but they're all sold out.

Stokey · 31/07/2016 13:00

oh dear I just realised that trying to describe a link, lead to a link for nothing...

put square brackets and then the website address and description

KittyHello · 31/07/2016 13:37

Viva thanks for the evening wear update, glad you're taking time to relax

Blingy you don't sound too sure about the holiday.

Dry glad the dinner party went well and that all timings went to plan

Dream hope yours goes well tonight, I missed that you'd bought Pistols, they are my favourite winter boots, what colour did you buy? Mine are really comfortable and from memory they do loosen up, next a/w will be their 3rd year, so a good investment if they're comfortable with great cpw.

Peach hope you're feeling happier today Flowers

Hi everyone - how nice to return to QueenC doing her Sunday links. :)
Blingy I am always guilty of a stealth boast holiday post so glad you're not offended.
Hard to catch up so will just say - we're home. I am drowning in a sea of washing and have been to Sainsbury's. We had such a wonderful time. Shame the sun isn't shining here.
Dream have fun today.
Back to the real world for me now.......
DH has had such a wonderful time. For those of you that know the health issues that preceded this trip he is like a new man. mainly thanks to Sleep
Feeling very blessed to have a fresh chance at a happy healthy life.

KittyHello · 31/07/2016 14:42

I too like to see holiday pictures. Gives me ideas for my own holidays Grin your place looked lovely Shop was it AI?

shopafrolic · 31/07/2016 14:48

Yes Kitty
Aphrodite Hills resort in Cyprus with Thomson Senatori. Super kid friendly, great food, lovely pools. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a room with a private pool. Just fab :)

Longislandicetee · 31/07/2016 15:21

Kitty, yes I had issues with my in laws a few months ago, so going on holiday together is a big step! They have only ever been generous and kind to me and they do treat me just like their dcs. We tend to fall out because they are very formal (their bad) and we don't always take that into account (our bad) so each side can end up being hurt when no actual hurt was intended. if only I am this wise when they piss me offGrin

When I showed them the ring, mil said "Ah, I knew my son wouldn't let me down" and fil separately said "Well done" and on noting the diamonds went all the way round "oh good, no half measures there". Dh muttered "great no pressure on me then"Grin

Shop, definitely nothing stealth boasty at all, loved the updates, photos and video footage! Also, can't believe how well Mr Shop looked! well done SleepWink

Everyonelovessparkles · 31/07/2016 16:16

Glad you had a nice time shop. I hear you on the washing front. My DC needed clean outfits every day for breakfast and dinner so I had a mountain when we returned from hols.

I like looking at holiday photos on FB too nosey

South Africa sounds nice blingy hope you don't change your mind before Christmas!

Hope the party went well last night dry and that yours goes well today dream.

I'd like to have friends over more often too, I think it will start to get easier next year when DS is a bit bigger.

Had a nice family weekend but it's always so tiring! Looking forward to a glass of Wine in a bit.

shopafrolic · 31/07/2016 17:03

Just went out to hang out yet more washing and the neighbours are having a very smokey and v stinky BBQ so that's everything off the line and back in the wash Angry

AmberNectarine · 31/07/2016 18:25

I just can't be doing with anyone who takes umbrage at other people's Facebook posts. Membership is not mandatory, as I understand it.

Finally found the black sandals I have been searching for: £18!

Drunk ordered a load of holiday stuff on Asos at 1am, so that should be an interesting delivery tomorrow, ahem.

Longislandicetee · 31/07/2016 18:32

Oh no Shop!

Everyone, no chance! Dh and his parents are deliriously happy about it.We.are.going. practice gritting teethGrin

I have a Sunday night fashion dilemma and so am sounding a klaxon to all Voguettes and lurkersGrin. I have an important party in 2 weeks time and I have earmarked 2 outfits but now I am wondering if there is something nicer out there. I was thinking maybe something sequinned? For those who haven't met me I am 5'1, size 6. Body shape wise I am an hour glass-ish with E cups...so quite booby-ish for a small person. I also have a short torso, so my inside leg is almost normal at 29", but not much gap between chest and waist.

Budget...anything from high street up to £1k. Ideas would be much appreciated!!Flowers

AmberNectarine · 31/07/2016 18:36

What sort of party blingy? Work or play?

Longislandicetee · 31/07/2016 18:38

Darn, forgot that important bit. It's play. Friends and family.

peachmama · 31/07/2016 18:43

Aha! - thank you for that stokey.

Aw kitty that's really kind - thanks a lot - I am! - normal service has resumed Smile.

Bargainous Amber. They are v nice!.

Welcome home shop - grand to hear you all had such a good time, and that DH is feeling much improved. I'm going to have a google of that location - it sounds wonderful and we need some tot friendly ideas.

peachmama · 31/07/2016 18:46

5ft 1 and size 6 blingy - you are so far removed from my Amazonion self shape I have absolutely no idea what would look best!. Apart from probably.....everything Grin

AmberNectarine · 31/07/2016 18:50

I did think it probably would be at mention of sequins!

I would go bright, bodycon and low cut. Play to your strengths! I find I really get on with Versus Versace dresses and we are very similar shape and size so maybe worth a look? I also really like my Herve Leger for a special occasion (as does DH!)

AmberNectarine · 31/07/2016 18:51

You'd be knockout in something like this

AmberNectarine · 31/07/2016 19:01

Thinking about it, you'd be very welcome to borrow my HL and repurpose the money toward shoes and bag if you wanted blingy!

QueenC1 · 31/07/2016 19:20

Ooh, a dress challenge. Let me get dc to bed....

shop so glad you had a wonderful time.

Drywhitethanks · 31/07/2016 19:32

Blingy you'd look incredible in the red dress Amber linked. I'd go nuts, you. We'd to stand out after all . Looking forward to a seeing other links.

Just had a try on session for my cruise, bloody exciting, fashion wise and all round. Shop's holiday snaps have helped, the black Ghillies are going in. I reckon with my silver Asos v cheap high sandals my evenings will be covered. Can in eek it to 20k ?Hmm

Drywhitethanks · 31/07/2016 19:34

"You need to stand out" bloody typing and left over prosecco Grin

I've just realized "cooking and clothes, my forte" bit sad isn't it Hmm but both make me happy

Everyonelovessparkles · 31/07/2016 19:35

Oooh I like a good dress search! Not sure if this is your thing bling but it is very sparkley and there's 1 size 6 left! Jenny packham

Drywhitethanks · 31/07/2016 19:37

Sorry, me again........styling question.....

Was thinking of taking my two fav printed pencil skirts on hols.....to wear with heels and I have silky vest tops in black and white, worn with a long necklace and my tan clutch......smart/casual , ok?

peachmama · 31/07/2016 19:37

linky for a dress idea blingy

oo i've done it!.

AmberNectarine · 31/07/2016 19:54

Oh god I LOVE that peach. I have nowhere to go (other than glam wedding for which I still have no dress, sigh)
