Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

Taking my DM too justa - she is a right enabler so I'll probably come home bankrupt.

AmberNectarine · 08/09/2016 22:49

And yes, I've never had a pair of Boden shoes that haven't been uncomfortable bastards. Oh no, I lie, I have a pair of leopard ponyskin gladiator sandals I got when expecting DD which are now on their last legs, but it took a LONG time to break them in.

Dreamqueen · 09/09/2016 07:17

Lots of lovely links on here that I'm resisting. I keep telling myself that I do not need any Autumn clothes.

Dry hope your bruise clears up quickly. I've never had botox, I'm too much of a coward.

Amber Kitten sounds lovely. Hope you get lots of great stuff at Bicester & you too Kitty Thank you again for gigi link Kitty

Longislandicetee · 09/09/2016 08:51

Morning! QueenC I have been dying to ask tease Lib about her "just 10 items" for aaaaaages. So glad someone got there first.Grin

Amber if you go onto Facebook you will see photos of me wearing the dress you chose for me last month. Such a great pick. Flowers

Dry I was expecting a selfie so I could check out the black eye, you poor thing.

Our new routine gives me 20 minutes to shower and get dressed and so I have been choosing and carefully laying out my outfit including underwear and bling the day before. OOTD is white j crew Campbell trousers with burnt orange cowl neck top by Kaliko and beige jacket by Principles Petite. The jacket is about 18 years old but looks brand new.

QueenC1 · 09/09/2016 11:16

My ootd so far is exercise stuff. Went to circuits and am now just sitting in bed playing around on my iPad. Apart from showering I don't intend moving from here all day!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 09/09/2016 11:47

OOTD is a red and white large check shirt dress. I love this dress more because it has pockets and is 100% cotton. Got it really cheap as well in the lindy bop sale so extra pleased for that reason too

all ive done today is housework, just general tidying and washing and things. going to try and do a bit more clothing clearance. I've got homes waiting for the stuff i clear out, its just a case of waiting for it all to be picked up by the people its all going to so got that to arrange as well. i think im doing really well, ive got two huge bags for rehoming to two friends, three and a half bags for the charity shop, a big bag for sister 1, sister 2 has already taken her spoils and then theres a bin bag full of stuff thats no good for anything but the bin or rag man. I can't bear to even think about getting rid of my t-shirts though, they are my clothing babies, ive been collecting them for years! i guess ihave to get rid of at least a few of them though

QueenC1 · 09/09/2016 12:12

shoes have arrived and I love them.

kittyhello · 09/09/2016 13:56

Lovely shoes, Queen and very you.

Gosh Blingy 20 minutes in the morning? That's not even enough time to enjoy my cup of coffee Shock

Wore my Ash Virgins today, even though I sized down they're still huge, will have to buy insoles for them.

libertydoddle · 09/09/2016 18:05

Great shoes QueenC.

Grin

I can do 20 mins in the morning as long as I don't have to wash my hair. Picking outfit the night before definitely helps.

I have had a seriously, long intense day. And a colleague pissed me off hugely right at the end. I am currently sat on Tube having murderous thoughts. Hoping Wine will clear them as my attempts at deep breathing and letting it go haven't worked. Angry

Drywhitethanks · 09/09/2016 19:55

Lib I'm having murderous thoughts about DS right now....teenaged boys ugg.....needs to leave home ASAP Sad

Blingy 20mins to get ready Shock

QueenC lovely shoes

Stokey · 09/09/2016 19:56

Quiet in here

Lovely shoes QueenC, very you.

Hope the wine is washing the stress away Lib

My Ash Virgins arrived today, just worn to shop and back. I altered all the buckles to the tightest hole Kitty, may help? They're not as comfy as my Stans but do look lovely.

I'm feeling a bit exhausted, period, Dd2 starting school on Tuesday and DM here till the end of next week. I want real life to start again now but need to keep waiting for another week.

Drywhitethanks · 09/09/2016 19:59

Actually what Ds needs is to get back on the rugby pitch and get rid of the testosterone or get a girlfriend ...... It's been over a year he's been out, nearly back though......that or I'll throttle the 6ft brick Grin because I'm a huge strong person as you know

shopafrolic · 09/09/2016 20:29

LOL Dry
Lots of family shit going down here. Been a horrible 24 hours. Taking DN to London tomorrow but weather looks lousy. Hate Oxford St at the best of times but can't face it in the rain. Have suggested Westfield instead - will decide in the morning.
Am thinking of taking her to Chanel counter to buy her her first ever posh lipstick. Not sure if 15 is too young - no idea about teenagers.

AmberNectarine · 09/09/2016 20:57

Running hugely late for cocktails, sigh.

Bicester excellent - Saint Laurent shoes and Valentino cuff have come home with me (plus boring stuff like jo Malone bath oil, mac brushes and CK underwear). My mum got a Gucci scarf and an MK bag. Really fun day Smile

libertydoddle · 09/09/2016 21:25

Grin dry.

I'm slowly calming down.

Shop Flowers hope you are ok. My sister loves make up. She wouldn't value a Chanel lippy. Mac is the aspirational brand with her and her mates. Or give her the £20 and let her loose in kiko.

OP posts:
Drywhitethanks · 09/09/2016 21:39

Second MAC as the popular brand amoungst 15 ye old girls. I wore Rimmel at that age Angry but DD would love a Chanel anything bloody Gossip Girl giving her ideas

shopafrolic · 09/09/2016 21:46

What is Kiko?

Longislandicetee · 09/09/2016 21:47

Poor you ShopFlowers On the lipstick, my 15yo niece would much prefer Mac too.

Lib Grin

Amber, sounds like a great day, have a fun evening!

Dry poor ds! and yup 20 mins, more like 22 mins! I have everything timed.Grin

libertydoddle · 09/09/2016 21:56

Kiko is a very cheap and v trendy make up brand. They have a shop in Westfield. For £20 she would get lots of stuff. Great eye shadows, lots of funky colours. V popular with that age group.

OP posts:
Stokey · 09/09/2016 22:43

There's a Kiko at the top of Regent St too Shop & in Covent Garden if you do hit town. It's actually good quality for the price.

AmberNectarine · 10/09/2016 04:39

Mac or Charlotte Tilbury (both in Selfies) for posh lippy. CT packaging is gorgeous. Mac colour range better.

I have loads from Kiko, but doesn't have the cachet.

Just got in. Out next two nights. Groan.

Stokey · 10/09/2016 07:45

Hard core Amber, hope you don't feel too bad this morning. I have 3 nights out in a row next weekend and am dreading it.

I'm going to set Bad Moms ringgit with a couple of friends, really looking forward to it Grin. Will probably wear black Hush jumpsuit as my go to outfit at the moment with either silver ghillies or Ash Virgins depending on how wet it is.

Stokey · 10/09/2016 07:45

Don't know why my phone has added the Malaysian currency into that sentence!

VivaVegas · 10/09/2016 08:50

Too much to catch up on after a few days off here but lots of lovely links, love the KG and TS shoes Queen, like the silver KG ones but not sure where I'd wear them!
Saw these in Office and liked them navy velvet but think I prefer the others.
Took furry boots back to office and have decided I need some decent black leather biker boots or Chelsea boots instead.
Saw a few nice bits when I was on my lunchtime wander in Zara:
spotty top

QueenCobalt · 10/09/2016 09:01

vegas we definitely have the same taste in shoes. Those navy ones are lush. Much as I love the top shop ones I won't get them as I don't know where id wear them.
shop kiko is fab but loved by my 10yo so Mac etc probably better at 15. Hoping to look at CT stuff later in selfridged as saw a nice lipstick in a magazine.
Currently on my way to London. shop I may bump into you! Have braces the weather and wearing the silver shoes I wore to last meet up and same jeans and bag. In the mood to buy so hoping I find lots of nice stuff!
Have a good day everyone
