Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

DH is home and seems fine, asleep on the couch now!

Nice Boden order Fedup but I agree not much there atm.

Was way too hot earlier in the cardigan - so muggy today.

Blair I have noted the Ines collection Wink. Considering a jacket...

Question for you all, what coats / jackets / cover ups do you find most useful in autumn? I always struggle a bit especially with something to wear at weekends. I have trench coat for work and I have just bought the suede biker but it's a bit too nice for wearing to the park etc. Considering a parka or perhaps a short trench coat but would be good to know what the rest of you find useful.

Bernice Thanks the GAP wide legged trousers are perfect. Lovely soft cotton, super long so fit me perfectly (so rare) and look great with trainers. Sending both pairs of Massimo trousers back and will grab these in black next time there is a code too.

shopafrolic · 06/09/2016 16:39

Lib I live in my parka but it is khaki so need to change for a black one at some point. Also an old black leather bomber jacket from GAP that is years old but good for in between days.
You've reminded me that I need to sell my brown biker jacket. Having a big clearout - feels good.

shopafrolic · 06/09/2016 16:40

Could see you in this jacket for Lib

libertydoddle · 06/09/2016 18:49

Thanks Shop, I like that, have pinned as a 'maybe'. I think the issue is that with jackets that length I have to be careful where they hit as they can draw attention to my ample thighs if I'm wearing jeans or trousers, less of an issue with skirts although the jackets that length need a bit of a waist as otherwise I can look a bit shapeless. Actually that's the crux of the problem really, I find I need different lengths depending on what I'm wearing hence the problem finding one perfect autumn jacket Smile

Drywhitethanks · 06/09/2016 21:22

Liberty my camel MD coat ofcourse, think it will last one more winter.
Puffy long down coat for v cold days.
Black blazer for evenings.

Wore my K Geigervpointy patent shoes today, v comfy...a collegue said "what I'd give to see your shoe collection" Grin she clocked my red J Vines yesterday. Funny..............she hasn't a clue how many I have, only sees the work pairs Blush

AmberNectarine · 06/09/2016 21:37

I like a faux fur lib - always makes me feel glam, whatever else I'm wearing.

I don't do practical.

justasecond · 06/09/2016 21:38

Hope your dh has a quick recovery lib I have a light khaki parka for weekends, its not at all waterproof but a nice extra layer.
Those trousers look good shop
No spending as I am officially bled dry. I have forked out over 1k Shock on wedding, birthday and birth gifts this month. On top of that is the hundreds on swimming, tennis and tuition for the 3 dc.
Luckily nothing has caught my eye so far Smile

kittyhello · 06/09/2016 21:43

Lib glad dh is doing fine

Dry I was wondering if you were getting much use out of your black blazer, I saw a woman wearing one with khaki trousers and she looked good, not quite as cool as this but she did look good. i keep wondering if I should have bought a black one instead of navy. Confused

Lib I wear a jacket similar to what shop has posted for you, mine's from BR a few years back, I'm trying to wear my navy blazer a bit more with various Bretons underneath, once there's a chill in the air I'll wear my coatigans.

Fedup good stuff!

Gigis are from here

Stokey · 06/09/2016 21:47

I'm in love with your metallic jacket Amber, I may have to copy. And think this is the year I need to buy faux fur., I've waited too long the last two winters.

My leather jacket works hard at this time of year, and am looking forward to using Blingy's Mac.

I am also tempted by Ash Virgins again. DM is in town for another week or so and when DD2 starts school next week, we'll hit the shops.

Stokey · 06/09/2016 21:48

Love your boiler suit too Fedup

libertydoddle · 06/09/2016 21:54

Light parka does sound good and amber I quite like the idea if faux fur. Btw I forgot to say I love that metallic jacket you got in Paris. Dry I have my eye already on a couple of camel coats but will wait until Christmas sales for that as I have enough coats for cold days. It's the in between days I don't have so many options.

Thanks for jacket love. When I was trying it a random woman came up and said 'oui, oui! super!'. Sold. Even my dad wanted me to get it!

Tomorrow I will be braving the pyjama shirt. Will report back.

shopafrolic · 06/09/2016 22:18

Kitty Thanks I've ordered the python Gigi's too.
Another faux fur wearer here. Love wearing it on the school run Grin Stokey you should totally be working it - right up your street I reckon.

Drywhitethanks · 06/09/2016 22:37

kitty I love my black blazer, feel great when I wear it, it's v structured which I love.

QueenC1 · 06/09/2016 22:38

Lots to catch up on...
dry such a shame about the boden top but doesn't sound too ruined?
amber love the pink trousers and jacket. stokey can totally see you in it too.
lib I wear a cardigan of course! If I wear a jacket I either have a grey casual blazer or a grey barbour hooded padded anorak type thing. I don't get on with faux fur. Last years gilet is going to dd.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 06/09/2016 22:41

ive now got my eye on two shirts ive seen in primark, ones cropped with stars on it and the other is a long shirt with little black bees on it. I think i can get just those two things given how good ive been about clearing things out....can't i? i havent bought much at all since january, just a few skirts and a couple of dresses i got in a swap for some of mine.....two things wouldnt be sooooo bad would it?!

Drywhitethanks · 06/09/2016 22:43

Thought it was 199, but this one looks good....worth a try?

Drywhitethanks · 06/09/2016 22:44

Ignore that folks Confused

kittyhello · 06/09/2016 22:48

Stokey there are some cheaper Ash Virgins on the Cloggs website, providing you don't want black!

Amber I think VB reads MNV and copied you today here

I really like the Python Gigis too Shop but am sitting on hand even though they are such a good price.

shopafrolic · 06/09/2016 22:57

Kitty I noticed my current GiGis are starting to smell TMI - but they are 2-3 years old now. Am wondering if I can soak them in something but I the meantime am grabbing the python ones as I am a bit bored of them too..... Great price with the extra25 code too.

AmberNectarine · 06/09/2016 23:05

How funny kitty, you're the second person to flag that to me today. Her daughter was born two days after mine too. Maybe payback for when I bought the same brown checked Jane Norman top she wore in the '2 become 1' video?

shopafrolic · 07/09/2016 08:03

Morning Voguettes. My question this morning. What foundation are you currently using? TIA.
