Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

Just popping in quickly to thank everyone for the birthday wishes and Dry, it might be Wink. Dh has surpassed himself this year Smile and thanks to my fabulous friends, it looks like I'll be celebrating for a while yet as they've booked lots of treats for me.

shame about the boiler suit Bernice - I got as far as putting it in my basket but forgot to check out - will try tomorrow when I have time to look for more things to add. Love the grey wide legged trousers.

Shop sorry to hear your df is back in hospital - trying times for you and your dm.

We have family coming for lunch soon so I had better get a wriggle on.

kittyhello · 04/09/2016 15:53

Belated happy birthday Fedup sounds as if you've had a fantastic celebration.

Have been a bit quiet recently getting ready for back to school next week, I also fancy some new back to school run trainers and am thinking of getting some Ash Virgins which I've decided will be a greater Autumn filler until I bring the Pistols out. Does anyone have a pair? Am interested in sizing as I hear they come up big.

Stokey · 04/09/2016 16:35

I love Ash Virgins Kitty but a friend who has a pair says they're quite uncomfy and a bit leaky Confused. If I see some on offer I may take the plunge regardless. I went for a forest in my Stans yesterday and was fine unlike Shop, so horses for courses I guess.

What colour would you go for? I like the silver or cobalt.

kittyhello · 04/09/2016 20:54

Stokey I've seem them reasonably priced:

here and

here

I've just ordered them in Perkish, was undecided between perkish and graphite grey, got mine from Cloggs for £75

I've heard they come up big so have sized down.

libertydoddle · 04/09/2016 21:39

I like Ash Virgins Kitty. They will really suit your style. Don't pack your sandals away yet - BBC weather chart says 26C on Wed and Thurs this week Smile.

Have the blues slightly about work tomorrow, v busy week ahead and feel on the back foot as we were out and about all weekend so haven't done all the laundry etc and DH is having a knee operation on Tuesday so I'll be on school run duty all week too.

I've just tallied the CC for August and I spent a lot so will have to curtail myself in September although I may buy some Clarks Tan Hamble Oaks. Does anyone know when Clarks are likely to have 20% off? They do it reasonably regularly I think.

In other fashion news I'm quite taken with these Topshop boots but I suspect I'd never actually wear them Smile. I also like all the velvet that's around. I'd love this jacket in olive or petrol blue or very deep chocolate brown.

Yay for MN S&B - I just glanced through thread titles in S&B and lo and behold there was a Clarks 20% off code so I've ordered the brogues Smile.

Those of you who are my FB friends will have seen we have a new member of the household today. I am absolutely besotted, even though he was supposed to be a girl!

Picked up a few orders today - the Maje leopard coat and this Gucci choker. Very pleased with both. Wore this leather jacket today, which I picked up in Paris. Bit out there, but I like it!

Ready for Autumn now!

Sorry for me, me, me post! Back in UK for foreseeable now, will try to catch up. Do we have a MU date yet?

shopafrolic · 05/09/2016 08:08

Morning all.
Amber love that jacket. Starting to feel autumnal here but hotting up again later this week so not giving in just yet
With everything going on with my dad I handed over the reins of the MU planning to someone else. Can't recall who though! Sorry everyone - struggling a little. So no idea where it got to.
I will definitely be in London a couple of times in the next 6 weeks though so will let people know and anyone is welcome to grab a coffee or a bit of lunch if they have time.
QueenC great trousers but ££ for poly
I have both pairs of Massimo trousers in my possession now so will have a try on once DS is at school. Have great days all.

SeaRabbit · 05/09/2016 08:23

Hello thread de-lurking to say I had a pair of Ash Virgins that lasted me about 5 years. I lived in them at weekends, as they were really comfortable, and I wore them out eventually. I replaced them with a pair of leather Converse which was a mistake as the Virgins have a little heel, and the Converse are totally flat, so nothing like as comfortable. I had the pewter ones and they went with everything.

Both the other pairs of Ash shoes (not Virgins) I've had have been very uncomfortable, mind.

FedupNagging · 05/09/2016 08:26

Shop it was Mara and myself who are organising the next MU - will sort ASAP, I promise - after several days of fun and frivolity, the house looks like it's been trashed so that's today's job.

Amber he's so cute, lets hope he's not such a good hunter as your previous mouser. Love the choker and jacket.

Stokey I can definitely see you in the Ash virgins so hope you buy.

Lib that jacket is gorgeous especially in the petrol although I think you'd suit the olive more.

shopafrolic · 05/09/2016 11:15

Thanks Fedup

kittyhello · 05/09/2016 13:34

Thanks SeaRabbit for that Flowers looking forward to them arriving as I didn't have suitable shoes for a rainy school run this morning and I don't want to get the boots out quite yet.

Amber he is a little cutie

I'm having a major house declutter/Kondoing. Have already put a tonne of paper in the recycling bin.

Drywhitethanks · 05/09/2016 21:15

Today has been a days fashion highs and lows.

Low.........I caught the sleeve of my beautiful £60 ish Boden guipure lace cream top on a door handle and ripped it....I thought I was going to cry ......luckily it's a small rip on the underside so doesn't show too much. Have realised that lace sleeves are a nightmare, they catch on everything.

Then the HIGH.....I actually LOVE Kitty and am hugging her very tightly because she found me some Gigis in Python print almost animal and I payed £31.95 inc p + p, very happy Grin ignores the "you'll always favour one colour mantra

AmberNectarine · 05/09/2016 21:47

I have lots of multiples and don't find I favour one colour in most, to be honest.

Took delivery of these trousers and these shoes today. Very pleased with both!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 05/09/2016 23:53

i don't find i favour one colour of any multiples i have either. The one i wear depends really on the weather as in my my mind pink is more of a summer colour than say black and animal print in a dress ive got fits better in autumn than the same dress in red and white check

dp gets here at the weekend so we can start doing some of the big clearing out and start getting the decorating done. seems like theres a million and one things to get done so we've really got to start putting the effort in to doing it all. need to remember to measure for carpets so i can price them up to be fitted

VivaVegas · 06/09/2016 07:12

Morning!
Have been lurking for a bit as the usual not enough time in the day seems to have crept in again, just feel on the back foot with everything at the moment.
Not much fashion news, picked up this basic navy sweat which is lovely 100% cotton and very soft so perfect for slinging on with jeans and trainers on the cooler days.
Also picked up this top when I was waiting for a train at Kings Cross, love the back on it. Good with jeans and will be good with coated/pleather skinnies for a night out in Autumn/Winter too.
These boots have just arrived but not had a chance to try them yet. Hoped they might be good with skinnies and a slouchy top/sweat when it's colder but not sure, need to try!
Hopefully now it's back to school I can get myself back into a better routine and start to get my stuff sorted instead of everyone else's!

FedupNagging · 06/09/2016 08:43

Gorgeous colour trousers Amber and love the OB top Viva

What a shame about your top Dry but yay for the gigi's. Kitty if you find a pair in silver for that price, give me a shout - size4.5/5. My animal print gigi's are 3yrs old now and still going stron. In fact, I've worn them the most this summer.

Boden order finally done
Boilersuit
Animal print top
Polo in ivory/navy colourway
plus some stuff for dh.

Tbh there's not a lot in Boden atm that's floating my boat but as I had a voucher + 20% discount thought I ought to make the effort Grin

Following on from the skinny jeans thread some of you were on yesterday, I decided against ordering another pair of skinnies-need to take ds3 to MK later so hoping to pop into GAP for a trying on session of various other styles.

kittyhello · 06/09/2016 10:07

Glad you liked them Dry Grin

Sent you a PM Fedup lovely Boden buys

Viva love the navy sweatshirt, i could do with one of those

Great colour trousers Amber will you wear them with the shoes? I think they'll look great together.

libertydoddle · 06/09/2016 10:44

Having to bring DD into work with me Shock oh well, life of a working parent. She's v excited about it. DH in surgery as we speak. Know he's ok but thought of it makes me feel a bit wobbly.

I'm wearing the Uniqlo navy jersey skirt, Uniqlo merino olive v neck cardigan layered over a beige Jigsaw cami with lace trims, beige Superga. Dug an old green glass heart pendant out which looks good with it. Coral Jaeger tote.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/09/2016 11:36

Sending good vibes to your DH Lib Flowers

Have you seen that there's a new Ines Uniqlo collection coming out in 2 days?

Amber your kitty is extremely cute and I love the name. DH always says that if we get a dog we will call it Nate (Dogg after the rapper Hmm).

I like multiples too, wearing my grey me+em dress today though my favourites are definitely the navys (navies?)

Still made no buys. Halo

AmberNectarine · 06/09/2016 11:47

If we ever get a dog we're calling him Gary.

AmberNectarine · 06/09/2016 11:48

kitty I am wearing them today with the shoes, plus white shirt and Gucci collar. I am enjoying this outfit.

Dreamqueen · 06/09/2016 13:07

Hope Dh recovers quickly from surgery Lib

Do Gigis run true to size please? Asking Kitty Fedup or Dry as I know you wear them. I'm usually a large 4 or do I need to size up?

Dry thats a shame about your top. I always manage to catch myself on door and cupboard handles. Thats the trouble with being short in my case.

No Autumn buys on my lust list which is a good thing. It'll give me a chance to save up for a change. Smile

Been to the gym for the first time in months, I've got 4 weeks left to run since I gave my cancellation notice. Can't decide what to do. Continie with cancellation and just go walking daily instead or keep it and go very very sporadically? what would you do?

kittyhello · 06/09/2016 13:44

Dream my Gigis run true to size, Im a 4 and a 4 fits fine. Re: gym membership, I recently gave up mine, now I just pay as I go and go to the classes I enjoy. No guilt factor then!

Amber outfit sounds great.

Dreamqueen · 06/09/2016 13:51

Thanks for info Kitty going to order silver gigis now.
