Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

Morning,

Meriboo I think its hard to get a bag to do work and casual without compromising and at the prices you're talking about you need to love it. I love this reversible Gucci tote also Vuitton epi leather totes. I have a smythson tote that can do work and casual too.

Fedup yes, bag is yellow silk on inside. Don't worry about the photos, I always find fault with pictures of myself even when much slimmer than now.

lib, yes dh gift but didn't like the original thing he chose so its a swap! Nearly went for a clutch which I love but thought this was more special for a big birthday.

Blingy very virtuous for a Saturday morning!

Dreamqueen · 27/08/2016 11:37

Beautiful bag Mara

i'm dogsitting for 3 weeks so I've upped my walking to 7k a day. Hoping thta will shft some lbs and make me fall in love with excercise again. i've lost my gym mojo & haven't been for months. Wow Blingy thats great on a Saturday morning! i'm sat here drinking tea & trying to get going, let alone doing cross trainer!

maradesbois · 27/08/2016 12:23

That's a good lot of walking Dream

Forgot to say after no shopping for ages I ordered a few Marant things from Outnet with the 15% promotion:

check shirt

navy jumper

mustard jumper

The second jumper is a bit of a curveball but think it could work with dark indigo denim. We'll see.

shopafrolic · 27/08/2016 19:00

How was your wedding Amber? You looked amazing!!!!

QueenC1 · 27/08/2016 19:52

I'm back!!!! Beautifully tanned, gorgeously blonde but at least 10 stone heavier than when I went Grin.

Just had a very quick catch up as had no wifi for past couple of days. Haven't opened all links so will just send love to you all and dive straight back in from here.

shopafrolic · 27/08/2016 19:56

Welcome back QueenC

Dreamqueen · 27/08/2016 20:30

welcome home QueenC hope you had a fab time.

Dog has knackered me. I've walked over 9k today with him. he is as bright as a button. i'm consoling myself with internet shopping!

will link if I find any must haves.

Stokey · 27/08/2016 20:34

Welcome back QueenC, your holiday looked lovely.
What a bag Mara, definitely a proper grown up birthday bag.
Love your suede jacket too, Lib, can really picture you in it.

Holiday photos, dressing rooms, all rather depressing. I knew my white shades were large but they really dominate all our holiday snaps... Bah.

We all look fab in real life.

I've just bought a few basics in Boden clearance. Will update on how they go.

justasecond · 27/08/2016 22:18

Welcome back queenc sounds like you had a good time.
Mara love your bag, its gorgeous! great outnet buys, I wanted to get the stripe jumper in pink and red but sold out in my size. I think I am going to wear more colour this a/w.
Meriboo The antigona is a great bag for work but maybe too structured for casual. Not hugely keen on the gucci bamboo, I would prefer a prada double tote over it. I love the rockstud shopper in this style I saw it in this grey colour a few years ago and it was completely gorgeous.

Still not feeling great not sure these ABs are working either Sad think I will go back to the gp this week. Years ago, pre dc I got a terrible uti that went on for a couple of years I just hope its not going to be a repeat of that. lib I had friday off this week so took dc to legoland! feel bad for them.

libertydoddle · 27/08/2016 22:28

Damn right we all look fab in real life Stokey!!
Flowers justa. Sounds like a good idea to go back to GP.

hope you get to the bottom of it soon and feel bettter asap justa uti's are horrible and they just make you feel so rubbish, you have my sympathies

managed to sort another half bag for donation tonight. it feels good in soem ways to be clearing stuff out but in other ways i just want to scoop everything up and not let it go! have to tell myself it's only stuff, stuff can be replaced any time, any place, it's just stuff

shopafrolic · 28/08/2016 08:01

Morning all.
One have you read Kondo? It may help you to let go. Highly recommend.

FedupNagging · 28/08/2016 09:12

Sooo, I spent all of yesterday recovering from the excesses of the night before Blush. Am back out this afternoon for a picnic with friends and then out again tonight - am exhausted just thinking about it.

Anyway, I spent the day watching Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries on Netflix. Not the most taxing programe but very watchable but more importantly, it's set in the 20's and the clothes are fabulous - worth a watch just for that - lots of mary jane's and wide legged trousers.
How gorgeous is this white trouser suit with the red coat?
Lace coat - would be fab for an evening do
Trouser suit - love it
Super sharp bob and bright lipstick - so glamorous

Welcome home Queen - have been really enjoying everyone's holiday pics.

I have not been very inspired fashion wise at the moment but did pick up this white shirt for layering. I've completely missed the Whistles dress I was dithering over - it was
this dress I love the style on me but wasn't so sure of the ditzy print.

FedupNagging · 28/08/2016 09:16

Mara completely forgot to mention your purchases - I think you're right, the mustard jumper would look fab with dark wash denim - it looks great in the pic and with your colouring too.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/08/2016 09:41

i might give it a look Shop thanks, has to be worth a go really Smile

i've, for once, not really bought much this summer, just a few basic vests, underwear and pjs, a couple of skirts and a couple of dresses. nothing to really shout about. I would like to start saving towards a nice bag though, after the c-word holiday is when most of the saving will get done so I do a bit of browsing every now and again to see what i might like but nothing so far has jumped out and screamed buy me' at me!

BerniceBobsHerHair · 28/08/2016 14:11

Hello all.

As usual so much to catch up on!

One have you thought of doing a capsule wardrobe for a short time - like project 333 (I always advise this!!) but you put your other clothes away and just wear 33 items for 3 months. Choose your absolute favourites / most flattering for the 33 items.

Stokey and QueenC welcome back. Lovely bag Stokey.

Justa hope you feel better soon.

I've also bought a few Boden bits in the clearance sale.
Trousers but in blue
Had my eye on this dress for a while
Wrap top - good basic
Another good basic top

Lib I'm pleased to hear that about the Toast culottes. Glad the MK jacket is a keeper. Guess it shows you have to trust your gut, like mara said - thinking of the Marant jacket.

Love your bag Mara and great Outnet shopping. Really like the colour of the Marant jumper. I'd love to know what your DH's first present to you was!

HappyGirlNow · 28/08/2016 14:32

shop I really need to read Kondo as my wardrobes are packed with close including stuff I've not worn but I think I'm scared to as I know it will force me to get rid of perfectly nice stuff that I like and that I've paid good money for Blush

HappyGirlNow · 28/08/2016 14:33

packed with clothes*

AmberNectarine · 28/08/2016 17:14

shop wedding was amazing. Best I've ever been to I think. Loads of booze and Italian food in a beautiful location. What more could I ask, really?

Felt fab in the GC dress and got lots of compliments (and hit on a few times, which is always an ego boost). Resort was absolutely stunning, DH and I are already planning to visit again for our anniversary next year (already have plans this year or it would be sooner)! Shops were great - love Italian style - lace, leopard, sparkle, colour - more is more. Right up my alley!

Now desperately trying to sort my shit out as off to Paris on Tuesday!

Have made a few purchases - will report on those later!

kittyhello · 28/08/2016 18:21

What a fabulous bag Mara love the navy Marant sweater

Great advice from Blingy One

Bernice I had my eye on those trousers at the beginning s/s - very nice

Amber do you have a Rockstuds bag? Didn't the studs fall off?

Mean as well the weather is going to be good for a while longer, I ordered the Boden scoop neck ruched dress in navy in the Clearance sale. Amber you have this don't you?

shopafrolic · 28/08/2016 19:21

Sounds perfect Amber
I love Italy, the culture and the style - right up my street.
We had the lovely Blingy and family to visit today. First time Voguette DH's have met I believe? Anyway - kids got on well (as did the adults). Lovely day. I wore my Ganni red striped dress, Blingy looked fab in her white jeans, purple top, sparkly R&B purple flats and lots of bling.

shopafrolic · 28/08/2016 19:23

Happy I have got rid of stuff I had spent £ on but it isn't doing anything sitting unworn in my wardrobe. Just made me think more carefully about purchases ongoing so I didn't make the same mistakes again. Would love to set up a business helping people clear out their wardrobes but not sure there is money to be made.

AmberNectarine · 28/08/2016 20:56

It is, I think shop, though Marsha has met my DH.

kitty don't even talk to me about that bag. Repaired 4 times. Shoes and bracelet have both been fab though. I have the Boden tank, off shoulder and crew neck ruched dresses but not a scoop. Really, really rate them though.

Longislandicetee · 28/08/2016 21:13

Hello!! I can report that MrShop is lovely, and mini Shop is gorgeous. Everyone got on really well, which was a relief for both Shop and I. Grin I loved chez Shop, which is a gorgeous house beautifully decorated, as well as very clean!Wink That red and white dress really suits you, and I love the hair! I thought you had put the curls in. If you had given me any more prosecco, I might have got round to truthfully telling you that you looked quite sexy. Glad I didn't as I think Mr Shop looked sufficiently disturbed at one point when I blurted out "you have seen pictures of me in bed still wearing jewellery"!Blush

shopafrolic · 28/08/2016 21:21

LOL Blingy that was funny. I wasn't going for sexy! I was going for relaxed stylish (Or something). But I'll take sexy. And I should say that Blingy's gorgeous children are going to be absolute heartbreakers when they grow up.
