Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

I thought you already had the blossom bracelet Blingy - it is absolutely gorgeous so really really hope you buy.

Having heard about Bernice's jumpsuit and admired Dream's pinafore, I've decided that I'd like both for a/w this year - need a change from the Claire Underwood look I think. I'll also have another go at the boyfriend jean look - they've not really suited me when I've tried them before so maybe need to style them differently.

Anyway, this jumpsuit is on my shortlist - this is the style I'd like so more boilersuit really! Love the olive Zara one you linked Happy although I'm pretty sure I'll need one from a petite range somewhere.
Nice style wrong colour
My favourite but about £100 too expensive

We're off to an outside afternoon do later but the weather is awful Sad so no idea what to wear - if we go indoors i'll be hot but if we stay out I'll be cold and quite possibly wet.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/08/2016 13:20

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes - I've had a lovely couple of days, now looking forward to night out tonight and France tomorrow :) Am all packed, hand luggage only plus Le Pliage for 8 days, oh yes! 3 bottoms, 7 tops, 5 dresses, 4 shoes, 3 beach cover ups, plus accessories and underwear.

Dry are you back? Not a couture dress Grin but a brand called Gorgeous Couture. Amber got one first. Check Pinterest!

One glad it all went well - hope you're resting up.

How's the thesis going Mara? When's it due?

Your wish list sounds fab Blingy, yes make the bracelet your first buy!

Lib those Uniqlo items are great colours for you, all very autumnal rather than wintery shades. Love it.

Hope you are having lovely hols Stokey, Amber and QueenC.

If I don't post again, see you all in a week as I won't assume I can get any internet where I'm going :)

Drywhitethanks · 20/08/2016 13:54

Amber and Blair what's the Gorgeous couture quality like?

I'm home. Have had a wonderful time and seen so much.

I think I got the clothes right.......I didn't wear:
my white jeans
maxi dresses (make me feel a bit sacklike)
only needed one pair of denim shorts
Stan Smiths
Kagool (DH insisted Grin)

Black slim leg trousers, tops, heels and a clutch , pencil skirts and dresses all good for the evening when people dressed up quite smartly really.
Gold Gigis were brilliant.

libertydoddle · 20/08/2016 15:46

Welcome home dry. Sounds like you had a fantastic time.

Mara yes the jacket sounds similar in style to yours. I think I am going to keep it and ignore the comments from DH.

Have a great holiday Blair. Great packing.

We're in Bournemouth for the air show but everything cancelled today due to high winds. But hotel is nice, we've had a swim and now all three of us are engaged with screens Grin.

Love Bournemouth Lib check out the lanterns being lit in the park in the eve - lovely for little ones. And the food at West Beach is fab.
Dry welcome back
Been to Milton Keynes today to buy DS a football kit. Have learnt that Sports Direct gives me the same type of fear I experience at soft play - hideous Grin

Longislandicetee · 20/08/2016 18:43

Shop we have been in Milton Keynes today. Grin Almost home now.

libertydoddle · 20/08/2016 20:54

Thanks shop. We just ate in hotel as we had a table overlooking the beach and the wind has calmed down a bit so they had the Red Arrows and lots of small planes doing displays all evening. Will venture further tomorrow.

dry glad you had a great time. Did you enjoy all the dressing up?

fedup I hate this weather for outfit choosing - not cold enough for 'proper' Autumn type clothes but not warm enough for summer stuff either. Hopefully you found a good balance.

Happy holidays blair

lib I ended up buying the same Boden cross over dress as you in the end! They had a 10 in the coral so I chanced it and really like it! It will be a good choice for both casual evenings out with the girls and for holidays. So thanks, without your link I would have just whipped past it on the website. Flowers

shopafrolic · 21/08/2016 08:41

Morning all. Off to a christening today. Will dig out one of my KM dresses last worn in Grand Cayman. Hope they still fit! Hope everyone has restful Sunday's.

VivaVegas · 21/08/2016 08:52

Welcome back Dry and have a great time Blair.
Went out for dinner and drinks with some girlfriends last night which was nice, weather rubbish not cold but rainy so difficult to know what to wear! Seems nicer today.
I'd like to make a November MU if I can, I have a November birthday too and have yet to make one, it's always tricky for me as DH works some weekends and I don't have anyone else I can leave the DC with for a long period of time.
Enjoy your christening Shop.cehen did you do to Grand Cayman?
This week I'm determined to put time aside to start to go through and sort my clothes and plan for autumn even if it's just an hour a night, and I won't allow myself to buy anything until I've done it- so there's my incentive!

AmberNectarine · 21/08/2016 08:56

I think the quality is good dry, mine has a nice drape to it.

Happy hols Blair!

Am feeling very rested and relaxed. Have been sleeping so much! Normally live on my nerves and get about 4h a night - have been sleeping for 10 here! Obviously needed it.

Have done a fair bit of sunbed shopping - will post results if any good!

shopafrolic · 21/08/2016 09:21

Amber loving the holiday pics
Viva GC was April 2015

Longislandicetee · 21/08/2016 11:58

Morning! A very lazy morning chez Blingy though dh was up early to play golf with his dad. He was wearing his watch. Oh someone asked me about the watch - he loves it though it's very heavy and a bit big. I am going to see whether they do a smaller strap.

He should be back soon and then we are off to Sunday lunch then theatre for the kids.

I told dh about the blossom bracelet and he said I should get it. I didn't actually tell him the price though...!Grin

AmberNectarine · 21/08/2016 12:41

Take him at his word Blingy!

Just ordered this coat. Hope it fits as have been looking for something like it for yonks and it's a bargain price!

Drywhitethanks · 21/08/2016 17:20

Everyone I loved the dressing up! Our holidays are normally self catering and very informal, for someone who loves a dess and here's this was a lovely treat.

Blingy get the bracelet. I think it's the one Linus has? Saw it in the window of a jewellrey shop in Monte Carlo darling and thought of you both.

libertydoddle · 21/08/2016 17:34

Get it Blingy!!! Are you going for white, yellow or rose gold? And wear to the next MU so I can try it out Grin

So glad you like the dress everyone. It is useful I think.

Longislandicetee · 21/08/2016 17:42

Dry and Amber, stoooop! I am so tempted! I have lusted after it for 2 years so it's my proof it's not a fad...! I am planning a shopping trip in my head now.Grin

Amber, I love that coat. I want one but I am not sure I could pull it off without looking like a hooker or Bet Lynch. I think it will really suit you though.Envy

I have taken to my bed as I am cross with the dcs for not appreciating their treats today. My tolerance levels are low at the moment.Sad

Longislandicetee · 21/08/2016 17:48

LibGrin

White gold. I think the bigger one is too chunky for my wrists, so I am thinking the smaller one.

MarshaBrady · 21/08/2016 18:18

You should get it Blingy

Grin
shopafrolic · 21/08/2016 19:15

Evening all from pissed Shop
My learning for today. Never stand next to a woman who is 5ft nothing and a size 0 dressed in Versace expecting to look good. Epic fail.
One of the guests wore an amazing Whistles navy jumpsuit which she got in the sale and looked amazing in. Just fab. But I can't find it online,.,,,,.

Longislandicetee · 21/08/2016 19:54

Shop don't be so hard on yourself my sweet, you looked great in your dress and lovely shoes! Hope you had a good time otherwise. X

Longislandicetee · 21/08/2016 19:55

Ah missed the other enabling post from MarshaGrin

Drywhitethanks · 21/08/2016 20:11

Nooooooooo Shop you looked great, honestly the V was a bit meh compared to your outfit.

shopafrolic · 21/08/2016 20:21

I didn't feel down about the dress but I did look double her size. But as the host commented, I shouldn't have crouched to her height for pics as it made me look bigger. He said I should have stood tall and made the most of my height, top tips for next time!

MarshaBrady · 21/08/2016 20:43

Ah yes stand tall Shop!

Blingy link a bracelet like that on here and you're toast - no chance not to get it Grin
