Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

And the only drinks calculators I am familiar with are the NHS kind that tell you you're an alcoholic just me?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/08/2016 10:53

If I couldn't get deliveries to work my life and wardrobe would be very different!! Grin

maradesbois · 12/08/2016 11:00

Morning!

Bernice regarding your shoe post I see you in heels this shape ie around 7cm chunky heel.

Fantasy Gucci shopping for myself I adore these sandals but 11.5 cm heel don't think I can do even for taxi shoes. They are gorgeous in gold too.

Think that Gucci is on fire atm under Alessandro Michele, amazing cape too.

Lib congrats on your work good news. Hope the buoyant feeling has not deflated, you deserve to feel proud of your achievements

Vegas welcome home

Dry sounds amazing.

QueenC aah, your baby is growing up. Have a fab holiday.

One loved the size 10 tshirt story, what a great feeling, well done!

Shop hope your df is stable, sending you lots of coping love.

Amber no idea on strapless bra am afraid but in the market for a new one too so let me know when you find. Btw spotted a middle aged lady on the tube the other day who could have been your mother! She was blonde but otherwise looked sooo much like you.

Blingy I didn't know about drinks calculators either but all sounds good. What a party! I asked the slimming world lady how much my champagne intake was setting me back and the news was surprisingly positive! Not that I consume at MU levels though.

Right, getting back to my work, need to make the most of an empty house for a few days. Chase me away if I'm back on here before tonight.

AmberNectarine · 12/08/2016 11:53

dry just saw your pics on FB. Love your black tie look and don't your DC both look absolutely gorgeous?!

libertydoddle · 12/08/2016 13:15

For Amber and others wondering here is the drinks calculator I sent to Blingy. V useful!

Amber I have fantasie and panache underworld bras. They're both old but as they hardly get worn they look and feel as good as new. I would recommend both.

AmberNectarine · 12/08/2016 18:11

I actually wear my strapless bra loads, not sure why I've soldiered on with this for so long! Will look at these recs, thanks folks!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/08/2016 19:18

ugh i am exhuasted, i've had my niece and nephew over for the afternoon and for an early dinner and right now i just want a shower and a nap. i salute anyone with two or more children as i'm shattered just borrowing them for the afternoon! we've done colouring, dancing, keyboard playing, secret potion making (making essential oil blends for their mum, other aunt and grandma) we've done cooking, ice cream eating and then finished of with them running about in the yard while we waited for my sister and her husband to pick them up. i think im going to have a wonderfully long shower and then watch something crappy on netflix!

on the plus side, my wrist is finally healed so i can wash my arm properly again! down side is it seems to have made my scars very noticeable, hoping that with a good wash and a butt load of moisturiser on it will diminish them somewhat

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2016 19:52

Hello, just jumping back on as have been awol for a couple of days.

Mwah to all, will catch up

QueenC1 · 12/08/2016 20:35

Evening to the holiday makers. Looking forward to joining you tomorrow!

I find strapless bras really difficult as they just don't give me the lift I need. My most recent is from m&s but it was more because I lost the will to live to try anymore on.

one sounds like a lovely (but exhausting!) day!

AmberNectarine · 12/08/2016 20:55

one I think I'll speak on behalf of all parents of 2 or more and say what you've described there is a weeks worth of activities!

QueenC1 · 12/08/2016 21:47

Desperate to go to bed but Dh hasn't finished packing yet so the light is on. Just doing a bit of fantasy shopping to tide you over for the next 2 weeks....

for shop

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/08/2016 21:49

amber i am the master at cramming in as many activities as i can and then sending them home ready for bath and bed. My sister texted me at half seven and said they were both asleep and had been for the past ten minutes. I am good at tiring them out it seems Grin

QueenC1 · 12/08/2016 21:50

for cat lovers

QueenC1 · 12/08/2016 21:59

love this earcuff

FedupNagging · 13/08/2016 12:19

Quiet on here today - has everyone gone on holiday?!

Queen have a fab time.

Amber this is the strapless bra i have also this but the m&s one is my favourite.

Well done on your work success Lib; I'm a bit lost as to which shoes you're now purchasing?!

Shop hope you're ok? Flowers have you chosen a red bag yet? Don't suppose you've had much spare time atm.

Waves to Dry

I've made another A/W purchase magnolia print blouse - a bit of a departure for me pattern wise but it looks gorgeous on.

FedupNagging · 13/08/2016 12:22

One meant to say I'm exhausted just reading the list of activities you did yesterday! We're looking after the dgc's next weekend so I may send them your way Grin Grin

VivaVegas · 13/08/2016 14:03

I'm here Fedup as sadly we've had our holiday! Got a few days off work again next week with the DC though which is good, especially with the warm weather.

shopafrolic · 13/08/2016 18:38

Loving all the red bag links. Especially QueenC It went straight in the lust list but is way to ££. I think a trip to Longchamp may be in order.
DH and DS headed to Norwich ahead of me so I've had two days home alone and it has been so lovely. I never knew I'd be so happy to be able to hoover without DS interrupting me every five mins. I've been able to visit DPs - long story but DH is home. I've cleaned the house top to bottom, done loads of washing and been to my reformer Pilates class. Crab linguine and rose wine for one tonight. Hope you're all fabulous xx

libertydoddle · 13/08/2016 21:17

Feedback on M&S order... No links sorry as on phone.

The tan sandals are way too high, would fall over within 5 mins. Lovely though.
The block heel 'sunday supplement' sandals were ok but not love so returned them too collective MNV sigh of relief
The brown wrap style skirt looked a bit cheap and the wrap over bit just fell away when I sat down revealing my knickers. Not the look I was after Grin

I had a wander around Jigsaw today, so many things I liked. Will link when i'm on laptop.

Shame about your order Lib but glad that you came to your style sense about sandal number 2 and have avoided a sandal intervention Smile

Glad that you've had time to catch your breath & relax a bit Shop even if it involved the hoover. Hope Df is improving.

Still suffering lurgy so I've nit done much, no energy but I've got a second appointment with Dr on Monday, steroids are only making me fatter not curing anything.

Sat on sofa with gin watching Olympics in perfect peace & loving it.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 14/08/2016 10:49

morning all

quiet day here, just general tidying and some washing to do. Spoke to my sister yesterday and she said the kids had a great time on friday and are desperate to do it again. I said give time to recover fromt his time forst and then i can do it!!!

bit of a dull OOTD today, black high waisted skinnies, black star wars return of the jedi tee and a long black boyfriend cardigan

shop i hope your DF is doing okay and you are managing to take care of your self too Thanks

shame about your order lib but if things aren't right, makes no sense to keep them! i finally have started putting that mantra into good practice and returning things that aren't right instead of bundling them in the bottom of my wardrobe!

MarshaBrady · 14/08/2016 16:53

hello

I've loved every one's insta photos of their holidays. Looks so pretty. Our Vogue travel segue.

I'm already thinking about a Christmas holiday, but I am looking for heat and closest as possible as the break won't be long. Has anyone been some where good like this?

Dreamqueen · 14/08/2016 17:59

Wore this dress today. It's a keeper.

Happy hols to all who are away. Cruise sounds great Dry

hope DP is ok shop

libertydoddle · 14/08/2016 21:18

Canary Islands probably best option for Christmas Marsha but won't be v hot, more like 20 degrees. South Africa if you want proper heat, 10 hour flight but no time difference makes it easier.

Dream I can totally see you in that dress! You've done well on the Alexa collection.

I have spent ages today sorting clothes Confused. I still have so many random items. I seem to never 'finish' looks if that makes sense. Too much impulse / sales shopping and not enough planning. Shoes in particular seem to cause me particular angst. I never feel I get them right.

Have started doing a list of situations I need outfits for...and therein lies part if the problem, too many bases to cover between work, home and social life!!
