Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

blair realised I forgot to say congratulations the other day. Squidgy babies to cuddle and hand back are the best!

Great find amber
one hope your Dr sorts you out.

Gap dress arrived here. The blue pattern is divine (although I quite liked the pink too as it was different for me) but they were about 10 sizes too big despite ordering an xs!
Dd has her first proper bra-28aa-I got quite emotional when she put it on!

I'm all packed-2 dresses, 5 pairs of shorts, 8 tops, 3 vest tops (.that can happily get ruined by sun cream), 3 kaftans (.I lived in one last year), flip flops, 2 sandals and 3 bikinis.

AmberNectarine · 11/08/2016 20:30

Oh bless her Queen. I got mine at 9. It was a 32b. I hated the thing.

QueenC1 · 11/08/2016 20:37

lib do you like these

QueenC1 · 11/08/2016 20:42

shop red snake does exist here. They're not flat though!

Damn silver boots, ive just found a pair I love whilst broswing. I know I wouldn't wrar them though....

libertydoddle · 11/08/2016 21:03

Oh first bra Shock that would make me emotional too. I do like those shoes. Will see if they have them in store when I go to collect my order tomorrow.

The Me &Em dress is fantastic. Excellent fit. So good I have been mulling over whether I'd wear the oyster one but realistically I wouldn't. If the navy was available in a 12 I'd snap it up.

I must thank peach and Amber as well! Today I've been feeling sorry for myself that I can't fit in my Zarita without flashing everyone, and thinking it's too late to order something else I love, and I just ordered this GC dress in yellow. It's not as bargainous as Amber's but still pretty happy!

That's so good about the Me&Em dress Lib. I haven't bought anything from them in ages, since they stopped doing the ruched dresses.

peach that jacket looks lovely and a bargain. I'm sure a Rick Owens jacket would be divine, but I always think waterfall leather jackets can look just as good in pleather.

A new girl started at my work last week - blonde and petite and very well put together, swaps her handbags day to day etc. I got some parcels this week and she told me "I think you're going to give me a run for my money with the shopping!" so I think I have a new shopping buddy Grin

Dreamqueen · 11/08/2016 21:56

I also have to thank Peach and Amber I've been on New look and ordered 2 beach bags & a load of vest tops. (copying Queenc and buying ones that I won't worry about suncream ruining)

That dress looks lovely Blair

Impressive minimalist packing QueenC hope you have a lovely holiday.

Longislandicetee · 11/08/2016 22:20

I knew that dress would be amazing Lib!Envy

I also want to get a couple of things from Gorgeous Couture, no idea where they were hiding!

Blair, that almost sounded like meGrin

QueenC, oh bless. Scary thought for my dd

QueenC1 · 11/08/2016 22:34

forbdream. Any good? I think Fatface had some too.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 11/08/2016 22:39

first bra would make most mums emotional queenC i didn't get my first bra til i was almost fifteen i think, i was late getting them, especially compared to my sisters who both had already got bras by the time i got my first one!

libertydoddle · 11/08/2016 22:42

QueenC's link reminds me I saw dungaree denim dresses in H&M the other day.

Dreamqueen · 11/08/2016 23:07

Thank you QueenC that is perfect, much nicer than the one I tried on. It's ordered in 12 & 14 as not sure of Warehouse sizing plus a couple of sale dresses.

AmberNectarine · 11/08/2016 23:29

Everything I've bought from Warehouse recently has been small to size. I have two dresses which are an 8 and just fit. I am a 6 pretty much everywhere else. But then Blair's jumpsuit proves this is not universal!

AmberNectarine · 11/08/2016 23:31

Oh, I'm after strapless bra recs, please. I realised recently my beloved M&S one is eight years old, which may explain why it's not quite doing the job anymore! I have one of the wonderbra ones, which is ok, but doesn't quite sit perfectly and doesn't give as smooth a line as I'm after. I don't want mega cleavage, just a bit of uplift and security!

Dreamqueen · 12/08/2016 06:37

Amber I have two strapless bras, both one and this one Both are comfortable and give a good shape for me.

Glad I ordered the 14 as well as 12 if Warehouse is small fitting. Blairs jumpsuit was really weird fitting.

Longislandicetee · 12/08/2016 06:56

Morning all! Okay, I have deviation from fashion for a bit, as I need some drinks advice. If you are hosting 80 people and the first hour you're doing champagne and canapés (but also soft drinks and pimms) and and then thereafter it's a buffet and disco, so we will serve other drinks (including champagne if people still want it).....

How much champagne, soft drinks, wine, beer would you have for the night? Trying to work out if I have got drinks right or not!Flowers

QueenC1 · 12/08/2016 07:03

Lots blingy Grin. Seriously though, not sure how you can work it out unless you know specifically who will drink beer, who will drink wine etc. How long are you expecting people to stay? Wine/champagne drinkers could easily get through 2 bottles each over the course of a long evening (judging by MU standards!!)-ime more drink white than red. Beer-goodness knows-about 7 bottles each??

libertydoddle · 12/08/2016 07:25

Blingy Google for drinks calculator. Lots of them online. I wouldn't go by MU standards!! If people are dancing they will drink less.

Hello MNV! Quickly popping on to say I'm doing my best to wear everything could have brought more
Holiday Heroes so far:
Gold Gigi's on almost every day
R Minkoff tan clutch, almost every night
Black ghillies thanks Shop
Should have left the SS ... Too hot
First formal night was fab.
Haven't caught up.... Love to all.

Stokey · 12/08/2016 07:43

Brief wave from me too. Holiday has been fab so far, I think Lake Como must be one of the most beautiful places I've been to.

I've worn Hush jumpsuit but regret bringing striped ruched skirt as a summer of no exercise has done little for my hips. And I've bought a Desigual scarf in various shades of red. I know it's a Marmite brand on here but I'm fond of it.

Glad you're having fun Dry, I've been wearing silver Gigis in the evening but white havianas mainly in the day.

Sorry to hear about DF Shop Flowers

Saw your holiday pic Kitty and we both have the same red pliage with us Grin

Have good hols everyone who's about to go QueenC, Amber, anyone else?

For booze Blingy, I'd go for a bottle a head for fizz & wine, 4 beers a head and add another couple of cases to be safe. Good luck with the party.

VivaVegas · 12/08/2016 07:46

Morning!
Back from my holiday and now drowning in work, washing and ironing😁.
Have only skimmed the last couple of pages but nice to see some of you all packed and ready to go, have great times.
Ordered a few sale bits while away so will link once sorted.
Blingy I always think best to over plan with drink as what is left will always keep. I have 10 to lunch on Sunday and in a fizz over that but mainly as I'm not sorted/in control dom the post holiday chaos so don't have time to plan like I normally do.

VivaVegas · 12/08/2016 07:54

Lots of Sam Edelman in Brand Alley inducing cheap Gigis, who wanted black patent ones was it Dry?

Longislandicetee · 12/08/2016 07:58

Thank you everyone! Flowers Lib sent me a calculator thing and I went from there. I have gone with 40 bottles of champagne and 40 bottles of wine which is roughly a bottle per head as usually our friends tend to bring something too. Plus 200 beers. What always catches me out is soft drinks but have sorted that too. Dh is always a nightmare on these things cos he moans about spending money. That horse has well and truly bolted on this party Being able to give him "proof" was fab.Grin

Loving hearing from the holiday crew!!Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/08/2016 10:16

Morning :)

Welcome back Viva!

Blingy Grin if I worked with you, you would definitely put me to shame! She even has a mug that says "shopping queen"... stiff competition I tell you!
I had never heard of drinks calculators so you learn something new every day - v useful. And I think gorgeous couture would definitely suit you too!

Dry and Stokey glad you're both having a good time.

Amber I only have the wonderbra so can't recommend anything else. I do love it but know what you mean about the line - it is quite "bulky" for want of a better word.

Shop hope you're doing ok. Here's another red tote for you.

AmberNectarine · 12/08/2016 10:49

I can't get stuff delivered to work - I sit next to my husband! Poor career choice.

Need to get up and dressed. Went to bed with wet hair last night and look like Wurzel Gummidge
