Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

That's nice Amber, something to cheer you all up and look forward too. Think we may get a cat in due course once we've bought a house. Ds is desperate for a pet, tried to suggest fish but he's not having it. I got a £££ beach bag reduced too, Anya h one from Bicester last year so couldn't justify another one. Am all about the clutch atm, love this baby

AmberNectarine · 06/08/2016 23:28

That's the same as mine mara, just a different print. It's a really good size actually - took it out last night and had phone, purse, keys, makeup, sunglasses in case and phone power pack in there. Quite reasonable too, really, considering the back is leather.

Longislandicetee · 07/08/2016 07:54

Morning everyone. What a feast of links Amber! I think I might shamelessly get a couple of those sun dresses. We haven't even booked the winter holiday yet with the in laws, and I am beginning to worry about it spending 12 days in company of glamorous dmil.

Blair, so sorry you haven't been well, but I third asking Sleep for advice.

I am soooo glad people like the watch as I was well out of my depth when I was getting it. I almost posted from the shop to ask what people thought. He's only going to wear it as a dress watch because like Mr Amber he's attached to his Apple Watch, instead of the (now tired looking) Tag I bought him for his 30th. He's flying out on business today for a few days. Since we now have a live out nanny I will need to get used to sleeping with the dcs all by myself in the house.

QueenC1 · 07/08/2016 08:16

mara, have a disco too

QueenC1 · 07/08/2016 08:23

shopafrolic · 07/08/2016 09:19

shopafrolic · 07/08/2016 09:20

shopafrolic · 07/08/2016 09:22

Loads of this Vogue edit would suit Bernice and others too. The bonded skirt, the cropped trouser and the leather midi skirt.......

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/08/2016 12:41

Thanks everyone, you're all so sweet :) QueenC the doc mentioned an endoscopy as the next step maybe, for the reflux. Scary! Amber I am on omeprazole at the moment. It seemed to work for about 2 weeks, and even helped with the bloating, and I went back to the GP and told her that - now it's worse again!

I think this all started last year when I was on anti-b's for my acne (for 4 MONTHS) :( as I had similar symptoms at the time and started taking probiotics which helped, but no longer do. I think they've totally messed up my gut, though don't know why it's flared up now in particular. One the GP mentioned IBS, but I know that's just a diagnosis of exclusion so doesn't mean much for me right now.

God, sorry to go on! Anyway, shop is giving me sleep's contact details :)

Amber that's nice news about the new kitten. I imagine it feels bittersweet though Flowers

Mara we can be healthy together! I think you've tried 5:2 in the past IIRC? I found that worked really well for me when I tried it ages ago.

I love that Disco, really pretty.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 07/08/2016 13:28

blair long term antib's can really mess up your gut, my IBS definitely got worse when i had a six month run of constant antib's. Definitely speak to Sleep she is the tummy whisperer! my IBS has never been so well controlled as when sleep gave me advice and support. Thanks

that Disco is lovely

shop how is your DF today? improving i hope Thanks

libertydoddle · 07/08/2016 13:42

Thanks shop. I particularly like the blouse. Also some promising looking sandals in that M&S link....

Love the Gucci clutch. So pretty.

Sorry to hear you are suffering blair. Hope you get some answers soon. As already mentioned, peppermint capsules are meant to be good for digestive issues. Flowers

I'm a bit under the weather too this weekend with a sore throat and cold. So just taking it easy and enjoying the sun. No fashion news as have been relaxing in the garden in denim shorts and a bandeau top.

Pretty Gucci bags. I do like a nice bag!

maradesbois · 07/08/2016 15:20

Afternoon,

Travelling again, dropping ds at pils for a couple of weeks in the sun so that I can work. He's going to have a ball, I am not but needs must.

QueenC swoon over the disco! Over my self-imposed ££ limit for a random purchase though. Love the print on yours too Amber, there's also a nice chevron one in the men's collection.

Blingy Is your mil Joan Collins? Can't imagine someone who makes you look dowdy!

Blair ah, yes, sounds like the tablets have messed you up.

For the weight stuff I have decided against 5:2 as although it works for me is slow and I get very grumpy on the fast days. Need a quick fix as have a big event in 3 months time that I want to look hot for! I joined slimming world for motivation, has only been 1 week but its basically healthy eating common sense with weekly weigh at their meeting which sold it to me as incentive to persevere. Once I reach my target of 1.5 stone loss think will be fine to maintain on my own, its the weight I was for years both pre and post childbirth but post have had many fluctuations in between. Should probably book a session with Sleep as well come to think of it.

QueenC1 · 07/08/2016 17:01

blair have you been tested for h pylori?
mara try doing the shred or killer body every day too. I gave up 5:2 as it seemed to stop working and I think someone on here said it can play havoc with your hormones so I've given it a break. I'm feeling big after having guests all week (they will all be gone tomorrow thank goodness as I have visitor fatigue now) so looking forward to a week of healthy eating before pigging out on pizza and pasta for 2 weeks!!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/08/2016 17:31

Yup QueenC. I suppose it's a relief that all tests were clear, but it would be good to have had an answer too!

I'll get some peppermint oil capsules tomorrow, I did have some last year and found a random one to take this afternoon. I also drink mint tea once a day at work which I like to think helps.

Mara that sounds very sensible.

Just off out for a Chinese buffet Blush not ideal but it's with DH, Dsis, her bf, DBro, Dcousin and his wife, so will be nice to see them all :)

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 07/08/2016 17:35

blair take the peppermint capsules about half an hour to forty five minutes before you are going to eat if at all possible, they work better that way, i know that might be more difficult first thing though

a very quiet a boring day today, just pottered around the flat doing bits of housework but i think im going to go for a nap now, feeling a bit worn out and like a rest would do me some good

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/08/2016 18:08

Thanks One! That's good to know and I'll try it.

I had a boring day too. It's been so hot here. Good for my tomato plant (yep just one, my mum likes to hand them out to everyone) but I'm melting!

maradesbois · 07/08/2016 19:24

QueenC I could do with a change from shred, is killer body Jillian too? Don't have the time for going out for long runs atm but you're right that its always possible to fit in a workout you can do at home. Interesting about 5:2 and the hormones too. The SW woman is hilarious and enormous, its like being at fat fighters with Marjorie Dawes!

AmberNectarine · 07/08/2016 19:34

I wanted to join slimming world but wasn't allowed! I mainly wanted the recipe ideas and they have meetings at the church next door. Apparently I'd have to put on 2st to be allowed in though, which might be a bit counterproductive!

Loving the warm weather. Haven't done a great deal bar visit my parents. Need to do loads of work tonight though, sigh. May set up on the sun lounger outside with a glass of fizz to soften the blow!

Dreamqueen · 07/08/2016 20:15

Blair I'm taking a mix of Zantac, unienzyme & magnesium drops. Not advocating that you should do the same but this combo works for me especially when I'm over stressed & the stomach acid really build up. Sleeping with the head part of the bed raised up a few inches also reallt heplps with reflux..

I've been at football watching west Ham at Olympic park today, too much gin to ctach up properly Blush

QueenC1 · 07/08/2016 21:07

Killer body is jillian. It's in 30 min chunks of arms, core and legs. You're meant to do each bit twice a week with a day off Hmm. It does really tone me up though when I do it regularly enough.

QueenC1 · 07/08/2016 21:11

for blair. I think you said you needed some more summer stuff?

QueenC1 · 07/08/2016 21:14

lib, lots of autumn colours in uniqlo

HappyGirlNow · 07/08/2016 21:35
