Summertime, and the livin' is easy...some of us are basking on beaches, others are managing the madness that is school's out but work goes on...either way we want to look chic in the heat while it lasts

Come tell us what you are wearing on these balmy days...it's friendly here Smile

Ah, that makes sense stokey if you're in mountains. I haven't decided yet whether to take trainers-I feel like I should in case we do any walking but it's likely to be so hot that we won't. Othetwise Im taking silver saltwaters, havianas and pink flat suede for the evening.

amber is your holiday a family thing or is it the wedding?

KittyHello · 04/08/2016 18:27

We were considering the Italian Lakes Stokey, looking forward to hearing all about it. I too think your shoes choices are restraint. I'm only taking flip flops X 2, leopard Gigi's, 1x heels for evening.

Queen will pin the resort.

Shop showed dc your FB photos. They're itching to go.

Drywhitethanks · 04/08/2016 18:38

QueenC1 · 04/08/2016 22:08

Ok, own up, who has has gone looking for uncensored pictures of Orlando bloom Blush

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/08/2016 22:15

oh, haha queenC i read about that but I haven't been looking, he doesn't do it for me but i'm sure he does for plenty of ladies Grin

Longislandicetee · 05/08/2016 07:35

Morning! I'll put my hand up QueenC, I went looking!Grin I'll say this much...I can see why he's letting it all hang out!! Still don't get why he was starkers though.Confused

QueenC1 · 05/08/2016 07:48

The thing I don't get about naked sunbathing is do you think he rubbed sun cream on or risked getting burnt.....?

KittyHello · 05/08/2016 08:34

Shop will do.

I saw the censored pics of Orlando and did think hmm why Confused

One I think a white night is where everyone has to wear white. I think Shop attended one on hols last year.

Longislandicetee · 05/08/2016 08:51

QueenC lol! I imagine sun cream there stings! Dh's face when I told him about it was a picture.

One yes Kitty is right. It's where everyone, male and female wear white. Shop looked lovely last year.

So I am at home today, allegedly working but in reality doing a million other things. Just been on cross trainer. I always weep at how fit I get during the school holidays when I don't have to do school runs then it all goes to pot during term time!

Stokey · 05/08/2016 09:03

I feel a bit restrained after reading your list Dry but we're self catering so am planning to wash. Still feel I could lose a couple of things.

I missed all the Orlando stuff

AmberNectarine · 05/08/2016 11:00

Just googled the Orlando pics. It's not that impressive .

Family hols Queen, then back for 3 days then away for wedding, then back for 2, then another family holiday.

Overindulged a bit last night, but celebrating the start of an extended break.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/08/2016 11:19

Dry list (and white night) sounds fab, you're going to have such a good time!

I saw the Orlando thing on facebook news but didn't go looking... yet Odd as I used to have a massive thing for him when I was about 16, in his lord of the rings days!

Stokey I think your shoe choices sound perfect.

We don't go away until the 21st, think I must be last!

Think I will do some online orders later, just finalising in my head Grin will link when I do.

Drywhitethanks · 05/08/2016 11:34

Major panic in Dry house hold.....we are ALL over our baggage allowance with 2hrs to go.
Cue manic maxing of hand luggage allowances. DS doesn't realise that he is now carrying all of my swimwear R and 2 clutch bags in his ruck sack Grin
Perhaps I didn't need to buy the whole of Boots ......the 3x St Tropez and 8 bottles of sun cream can't ever be too prepared, we are v pale, apart from the Orange mother with v white teeth and 2 bottles shampoo there are no shops outside the UK you know may account for the problem Hmm

Stokey · 05/08/2016 13:50

Have a lovely time Dry, pin some pics.

Dreamqueen · 05/08/2016 14:04

happy hols Dry

KittyHello · 05/08/2016 14:21

Have a great time Dry

maradesbois · 05/08/2016 16:57

Hellooo,

Just checking in as haven't done so in a while and it feels too long.

Dry holiday packing sounds just right, I think more than enough so that you have choice without being wildly excessive either.

Am envious of those of you heading off on hols, need to spend the rest of August in the library writing my thesis, cannot wait to be rid of it but then need to job hunt, eek!

I think Orlando looks like a bit of a knob (no pun intended), like these reality tv people stripping off to get attention. It looked weirdly staged rather than intrusive. All that manscaping would put me right off too, so its a not impressed from me Grin

Have briefly skimmed back, love how finely tuned the MNV pregnancy radar is to Blair's slightest sniffle!

Blingy your ring is gorgeous, MrB got it right again! He needs to meet dh for an after work drink and teach him how to buy jewellery (have a story to tell you at next mu).

Fedup did you not like the st tropez shower? I missed your post about it.

Longislandicetee · 05/08/2016 17:35

Hello! Mara I will be all earsGrin

I am with you cheering the holidaymakers from the sidelines. When I am knackered in 2 months time, I will wish I never listened to dh!

I have had the most mind numbing day organising last details for the party we are hosting this month. I have been organising 3 different banners (all with photos and a message), liaising with a balloonologist (not kidding!) to design the personalised balloons, designing the cake (i am not silly enough to bake it!), choosing the greeting drinks for the chef to make, choosing carpet colour for the seating area. Sorting out favourite songs for the dj. It's taken me all frigging day, I haven't finished and i was supposed to have been working.Hmm this may be why Dry said my parties are over the topGrin

On the fashion side, well I wouldn't call it fashion...but dd are and I are wearing the same dress from Gap. She's wearing the 6 year old version of the dress and I am wearing the 13yo version. No, I haven't left the house today.Grin

shopafrolic · 05/08/2016 18:15

How the hell do you get in a 13yo dress with your boobs Blingy? Grin

Longislandicetee · 05/08/2016 18:56

That made me properly laugh Shop!Grin and actually baffled me a little so i went to check out the measurements on the Gap website. saddo. According to the Gap website, a 13yo girl is a girl who is up to 62" tall (I am shorter than thisHmm), fullest part of chest is 33" (which is exactly me) and waist of 26" (I am slightly smaller than this). Weird world.
