Larverly, larvely clothes but £35 for a t-shirt. Give me a break

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 23/01/2007 08:55

he should do an online Q&A session

we could ask him why he thinks all women's torsos are 2in shorter than they actually are

also who buys the Hotchpotch tops

cupcakes · 23/01/2007 09:04

The length of his tops is just really weird.
Especially when, imo, it is targeted at mums who are quite likely to have a bit of a tummy.
Or maybe that's just me.

I would like to know why the majority of his summer trousers are cropped. I only ever wear trousers in summer when I'm waiting for a leg wax so cropped are pointless.

Plibble · 23/01/2007 09:17

Am I being thick? Johnnie who?

Chandra · 23/01/2007 09:23

Probably he thought babies were born out of cabbages.

Very much agree about the 2" short torsos. And about it being overpriced. It is a good brand but the quality is not that good to be that expensive.

MrsBadger · 23/01/2007 09:24

Johnnie Boden, ponce among ponces and purveyor of overpriced schmutter to the middle classes.

Illuminating article here

ZZMum · 23/01/2007 09:36

well I hate the range before I read that article and now I hate it even more what a horrible man no way he gets my money!

Working mothers cause delinquency.... how how easy for the monied classes to come out with these pearls...

Enid · 23/01/2007 09:37

agree his tops are the most weirdy weirdy shape - never buy them

and the new catalogue layout is ripped off directly from J.Crew - I'd be pissed off if I were them

CODNoMore · 23/01/2007 09:38

what layout
it looks noraml

Enid · 23/01/2007 09:38

"A lot of women seem to dress like hookers and it doesn't suit them or make them attractive to blokes.

my husband would beg to disagree

CODNoMore · 23/01/2007 09:39

that is thre eyears old

Enid · 23/01/2007 09:39

the new typeface and layout (only catalogue nerds would notice probably)

CODNoMore · 23/01/2007 09:40

ye si was pondering dhs worrying attraction to someone on tv and he said when questioned " she looks like she woudl"

CODNoMore · 23/01/2007 09:40

nerd

Plibble · 23/01/2007 09:40

Am just picturing the Queen getting her Boden order and opening it to find a bunch of crop-tops

Enid · 23/01/2007 09:41

lol @ cods dh

MrsBadger · 23/01/2007 09:41

(I know article is old but for non-Bodenites I thought it was a fair summary...)

MrsBadger · 23/01/2007 09:42

d'you think the Queen wears Pull-Ons? Or Sassy Jeans?

cupcakes · 23/01/2007 09:42

I didn't notice typeface but I don't like the new catalogue. There is not enough Boden-perfect-world-of-fantasy for me. I like it when it has village fetes, bunting and red post boxes, not views of the millennium wheel.

CODNoMore · 23/01/2007 09:42

he fancies well rough birds
rememebr the problem wiht that bint on bb last year.

adn he looks so repectable

his comments on Stevie Nicks ar not to be repeated

TinyGang · 23/01/2007 09:42

He gave up on me and doesn't send me catalogues anymore.

Do the models still have those profound little notes about them under the pictures?

Yeuchhh!

Enid · 23/01/2007 09:43

Sassy Jeans

vom

CODNoMore · 23/01/2007 09:43

i prefer white stuff catalogues
witty not pretentious

kickassangel · 23/01/2007 09:43

he has the 'four weddings' look perfect, doesn't he. this explains why there are so few work clothes for women. i always found it amusing that women are in coffee shops or baking cakes, but the man have to have a woman with them unless they're in suits for work!
totally agree withthe comment about hotchpot - crakpot more like!

CODNoMore · 23/01/2007 09:43

< am concerned i am lookign at cslouch jeans>

wasitbands always too high fro me

cupcakes · 23/01/2007 09:44
