Crem we leave the 13th - do get in touch if we overlap.

Tights have been bought but have passed on the tip about the M&S cool range. Meanwhile, there has been weeping and wailing and grinding of teeth about the online maths test for aforementioned interview. She says she really fucked up and then BF said unhelpfully normally everybody pays the science students to do theseShock We are really naiive - do honest people ever get a break?

Cremolafoam · 19/07/2016 12:28

That's dire Hatty. I'm sure she did better than she thinks. Hope Ubf can be a bit more helpful in cheering her up. Twit.
I will pm you re Paris. Not there for long, but def can arrange something!! Smile

wordassociationfootball · 19/07/2016 14:24

Just SEEING NU's paddling pool and Rose's pool - and fab toes - has made me feel cooler.

Herbs, congrats on wardrobe and Talk Talk victory. Sounds like you could be quite... robust with the carer, as that's what she seweth, thus she might reapeth.

BD Flowers

Really well done on your run Monty. One step at a time. Can't believe DD starts hols tomorrow and we haven't bought new uniform yet. I was so smug - in advance - that we would get it sorted but we will be in the schmuck queue at the shop, I'll bet.

I had/have so much work to deliver this week and I am hotly failing today, cos of hot, obvs but also waking at 5.a.m with cramp. Gah.

Local sinkhole under rail tracks (!) has put paid to a literary evening outing although as I cannot countenance adding to the one piece of clothing I'm wearing, maybe that's just as well.

I emailed novel agent to say I was out of the woods on my re-write and she said to put lots of post Brexit refs in. Not a note you'll get with yours, MI Grin

How is it going in the office Mrs S and how much ready money would you slap down if any of us could get hold of a time machine?

Hatty - that paying for science bods to do test comment/reality.... v crap.

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2016 15:07

Yes MrsS, we need an update!

I am sooooo hot and tired, but SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!

herbaceous · 19/07/2016 15:18

Yes Mrs s. Show your virtual face.

Paddling pool filled. However, first I have to take DS swimming. In ana indoor pool, 20deg above the outdoor temperature at all times. I may melt.

Ice cubes for Herbs.....

In style queries (shallow) what colour shall I paint my toe nails please? Prompted by Rose.Grin

motherinferior · 19/07/2016 15:42

Oi, WAF, we have lots of uniform you can have - blue shirts, the approved pullyover, even trahsers somewhere. Please come and take it away! Monty says it's not quite the size of her PFB, as my offspring is officially Very Small.

wordassociationfootball · 19/07/2016 15:54

Yum. Yes pleasey MI. When it all cools down, we should have coffee near you.

Crem - my toes are a smokey puce (I enjoyed writing that) and my fingers are coral but only cos dd2 insisted.

Taking small children swimming is one of the most exhausting parental activities imho.

I want ice cream. And also, rather less on point temperature-wise, egg and chips.

DD2 will have walked home from primary school FOR THE LAST TIME. I wonder if she'll be tearful. Or save it for assembly tomorrow.

motherinferior · 19/07/2016 15:55

Is this bargainous skirt nice or horrible?

wordassociationfootball · 19/07/2016 15:56

I am off to the what I'm wearing with photes to see what CV is wearing today (new hobby)

I might decide the weather counts as exceptional circs and fail to deliver some of said work.

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 19/07/2016 16:01

It's quite an odd length, MI.....

Toes in Chanel red Smile

The Crepe Escape
BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 19/07/2016 16:04

Rose's pool looks considerably more refined than mineEnvy mine has about thirty French teenagers throwing girls in the pool and then bombing them!

Cremolafoam · 19/07/2016 16:15

Also iirc Beachy , known as foreplay. Ahem. Oh those beau mecs. Blush like the Chanel red Beachy.
WAF please tell me what smokey puce looks like . Is it like old rose? Or summat?

Non MI. Too long I think. Might drown your petite frame.

Cremolafoam · 19/07/2016 16:22

Have had to return this frock as twas too narrow on my lumpen middle -aged body. And order an enormous size. FfsSad

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 19/07/2016 16:35

Definitely foreplay! DS has an American girl in a teeny tiny bikini on his shoulders at the moment. Tres amusementSmile

Rosebag · 19/07/2016 16:41

MI I am going to get roasted for saying this but in my life...that kind of skirt would be called a "frum" skirt. Get a mini version....you can carry it off....
Some Arse has removed my property from my sun lounger and snuffled it....just because I went to get an icecream Angry

Cremolafoam · 19/07/2016 16:43

Frum. Oh yes.
Sorry MI.

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2016 17:02

Love the dress Cremo, but the skirt is definitely frum MI. And wouldn't it be floor-length on you (and DD!)?

I remember those teenage days of French swimming pool foreplay. And then breaking into the pool after clubbing for skinnydipping Smile

MrsS, where are you???

CointreauVersial · 19/07/2016 17:08

Stop with all your talk of swimming pools and ice cream. Envy

Hot and bothered here - DS particularly so, after a stint in the bakery, broiling away in his uniform. Last day of term tomorrow....

Have just had a lovely Skype call with DH, sitting in his Ritz-Carlton bathrobe in Shanghai, about to hit the sack. This single-parenting lark is very tedious, and the DCs are being foul and demanding . Meanwhile, my email account has stopped sending and receiving, and my mobile has died, so tech doesn't like me much at the moment either.

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2016 17:12

DS has just got in from his last day which was also sports day. Having spent the whole of yesterday in the sun (playing footy for activities day) as well as all this afternoon, he is not feeling too good!

Sorry to hear you're having a time of it with your DC - lucky DH, eh CV?

My BFF is coming again this eveningSmile

motherinferior · 19/07/2016 17:25

I am thoroughly flattered by the strong feeling that I'm too stylish for itSmile

MrsSchadenfreude · 19/07/2016 18:00

Skirt looks like something worn in a frum West Bank settlement, MI. To complete the look you would need fugly sandals, a shapeless T shirt with elbow length sleeves and an unflattering ,shapeless, cotton hat. So it's a no from me.

Work uneventful and was not the only one nursing a hangover.

addle · 19/07/2016 18:03

In Sheffield in db's lovely house chilling and thinking enviously of all the crepey pools (doesn't sound nice fr some reason). Drive went reasonably well until final turn into vv steep road when I apparently over revved and will hv burnt out the clutch. Which is why we are ubering to the actual ceremony tomorrow. Gah. Happy summer everyone.
Hattie - shocked about maths paper.
Mi that's one of those only Alexa Chung or miss jones off rising damp lengths. Rose good about dress that's the approach I'll take Thk you tho with denim jkt as I don't hv any other

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2016 19:11

Oh no AddleShock But at least you are in lovely Sheff. Where does the ceremony take place? Mine was at City Hall (100m from our flat!) but I was a mere Poly graduateGrin

Oh MrsS, I was hoping for a juicy updateSad

herbaceous · 19/07/2016 19:15

I was hoping for some juicy gossip from Mrs S also. I like to think her Monday night shindig was in response to DH's outrageous behaviour the night before.

Re parental tediousness, to clarify, Skyping Carer is not the same as Passive Aggressive Projecting friend. There are two delights to contend with. And the non-functioning freezer is mine, and full of salmon and prawns and other expensive stuff. Which I am going to throw away tonight. FFS.

Have to agree re skirt. Unless one is a 20-year-old twig, that kind of thing can go horribly wrong.
