Whispering - The slate blue pair is what is in the mail to me, I'll report back on the colour when I get them, hopefully tomorrow. I have a pair that looks like the charcoal colour from a few years ago , it's grey but with a sort of a hint of brown/cocoa. Not sure if this year's version is exactly the same though.

CointreauVersial · 20/06/2016 17:14

Drunk Boden shopping? Dear me. You didn't go for anything with the word "hotch potch" in the title, did you?

Well, my M&S parcel finally arrived, having taken the scenic route:

The jumpsuit is gorgeous.....but possibly not quite right for me. Waist is too high (I know it is supposed to be high-waisted, but it was well over my ribs), a little too bum-clinging, a little too "hey look at my big tum and bingo wings"....I think I would feel self-conscious in it. But it is a lovely item, great fabric weight, and I'd love it if I saw someone else wearing it, so I'll reserve judgement until I give it the "DH test".

Then we have the infamous khaki dress. It's okaaaay. If I had found it in a charity shop for a fiver I would have been delighted. But for £50 (!) I would have to adore it. I also have a sneaking suspicion that it's not a great colour on me (but I'm trying to break free from the tyranny of navy summer dresses, of which I have about a hundred).

Floisme · 20/06/2016 17:25

You're not exactly selling them to me, Cointreau Grin

Where's my bloody Whistles top? It's been on the road for days [glares}

wiltingfast · 20/06/2016 17:42

Slightly off topic, but I once bought lampshades from made.com whilst pissed.

It was not good. Not good at all. Grin Grin Grin hope you have better luck deutsche

Anyone hit the massimo dutti sale? It was stupendous.... bought trousers and a white linen top for c£45ish. Am v pleased with myself though dh was sniffy about the brown trousers....

I keep seeing links to the M&S khaki dress but have any of you got this autograph one?
I really like it but the reviews aren't that great!

MyNewHobbyIsGin · 20/06/2016 20:49

Kanye love the dress. Buy immediately if you haven't done so.

What's the verdict on the hush cropped harems? Is it a ridiculous notion that they can be dressed up? I'm tempted but can't quite convince myself to take the plunge.

I'm quite uninspired this summer. I bought these Zara poplin trousers which are surprisingly handy in this weather in that you don't feel like you've got your legs out when it's cooler, they're light for when the sun comes out, and don't get the hems wet when it rains! Can't ask for much more than that, can you! They are a fair bit longer on me tho.

Dancergirl · 20/06/2016 21:12

I'm considering these sandals, someone on here recommended them and they're in the sale now:

NEarlyadocytor - thanks. Have decided it will be my birthday treat to myself, but can't decide on which colour I like best. All Saints one is lovely but way over bu

freshprincess · 20/06/2016 21:15

That should say 'way over budget'

Btw 40%'sale on All Saints now.

deutschland83 · 20/06/2016 23:19

Nothing wacky, jeans, navy flats, a white lacy top.

I'm old, 10 years ago it would have been a months salary online.

In other news, went to Selfridges in the Trafford centre and left with £40 worth of food hall goodies.

Hung over me rocks Hmm

CaitAgusMadra · 21/06/2016 09:29

Delurk to ask if anyone has tried machine washing the uniqlo Cardigan jackets? With a baby who frequently gets sick on me hand washing is a right pain

taybert · 21/06/2016 12:45

Erm, are you not supposed to wash them?! Mine go on a 30 degree with other stuff and are fine.

CaitAgusMadra · 21/06/2016 17:33

Good to hear, think I'll just chuck them in a delicates wash. Thanks Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/06/2016 17:50

I tried some bright pink cropped trousers on, but they were too wide in the leg. I do like bright pink though, and it suits me, so might keep looking. Other than that, haven't seen anything I've been remotely interested in.

SmilingGivesYouWrinkles · 21/06/2016 19:11

I do not need a white, lace, pencil skirt. Like this one: skirt

Want it though.

Murinea · 21/06/2016 19:15

Received the Hush harems, and slate blue is definitely more grey than blue. I'd say the pictures give a fairly accurate idea as to the shade; if anything, it's even slightly more grey in real life.

WhisperingLoudly · 21/06/2016 19:17

Thanks murinea I'll go for it Smile

wiltingfast · 21/06/2016 21:09

Oooo I spotted that bag yesterday dancergirl it's v v v nice!

Was also admiring this one

niminypiminy · 21/06/2016 22:51

My wardrobe of black is advancing, with a pair of wool jersey cropped wide leg trousers from Cos - £30 in the sale. Can't link as they are now sold out. I like them a lot though: not so wide that they flap, and a fairly weighty wool jersey fabric with a nice close texture so they hang well.

Floisme · 22/06/2016 18:48

I have good news and bad on my Whistles bargains: The V-neck ribbed top is typical Whistles. In the packet, it looks like something from Littlewoods but when I try it on, every detail is perfect, it skims all my lumps and bumps and the sludgy colour is strangely flattering. (Well it is on me).

But I've seen a pic of myself in my lovely midi, zip skirt and oh dear, it's far too long and voluminous. Don't know what I was thinking - I've seen more stylish mushrooms. I've worn it quite a few times too so I can't take it back.

Here they are: Smile www.whistles.com/women/sale/knitwear/rib-v-neck-top-21216.html?dwvar_rib-v-neck-top-21216_color=Olive#start=1

And Sad www.whistles.com/women/sale/skirts/zip-through-skirt-21564.html?dwvar_zip-through-skirt-21564_color=Black#start=1

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 22/06/2016 19:32

Flo Grin
If you love the skirt, you should wear it anyway. I've met some very nice mushrooms in my time.

Floisme · 22/06/2016 19:44

I don't know if I love it or not now, Remus.

There was I, thinking I looked really cool...Sad

Ah well Grin
