Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

Good luck Lib

Karcheer I've had a look, it's quite hard. I'll just link something to see if it's in the right area, you may not want a black dress. Toteme. Would you prefer dark green? Had a quick look it's quite limited.

Shop have emailed you from my working email, other one is kaput these days.

Have fun Dry sounds fabulous, and you too Fedup

Justa sounds good, really want to see it now.

Longislandicetee · 28/03/2016 11:37

Belated happy Easter to everyone!Smile March has been a quiet mnv month for me as I was feeling low for a number of different reasons and so not feeling chatty but much better now.

Not much shopping this month to report. Although my new biker jacket was waiting for me. Will find link.

I have been doing the bling with bikinis look for the last week. This necklace was my favourite though loved this one too. I was also queen of the stacked bangles! I don't normally wear gold so like to mix it up occasionally.

Karcheer, so sorry to hear about your mil. Thanks

QueenC · 28/03/2016 12:14

Enjoy the shopping lib and the hotel dry.

Dreamqueen · 28/03/2016 12:23

sorry to hear about your Mil Karcheer
Lib you're very brave to go to westfield on BH, braver than me!
Hope you have a lovely rest in posh hotel dry

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2016 12:35

Drywhitethanks · 28/03/2016 12:53

Have just found a gin bar in the hotel GrinGrin....recommendations please, may try a few this evening

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2016 15:04

Hope you're ok Blingy Thanks

So sorry to hear about your MIL Karcheer, hope you and DH are bearing up ok Thanks

I've had a monumentally shit weekend for reasons I won't share here, but probably will talk about at the MU. However, onwards and upwards - I am relying heavily on the restorative powers of red lippy Smile

libertydoddle · 28/03/2016 16:40

Hang in there Amber. Hope you are OK Flowers

Westfield wasn't too bad all things considered. I tried on a few blazers but nothing really appealed so bought 2 cardigans instead. Will link later. DSis got loads including jeans from Zara (great recommendation Cranagh), short parka from H&M, bras from M&S, and various tops from Hollister, New Look and Urban Outfitters. She's a happy girl. DD got stocked up at the Disney Shop and Claire's Accessories. We had lots of breaks for snacks and a couple of restorative glasses of bubbly in The Village Grin

shopafrolic · 28/03/2016 16:42

Blingy glad you're feeling brighter - welcome home
Dry try Hendricks (only if served with cucumber), Bathtub gin if they have it, Sipsmith London Dry or Edinburgh Gin Elderflower liqueur. Enjoy :)
Amber sorry to hear that - I've had to rely on that a lot recently. It does help...

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/03/2016 16:47

so sorry for your loss Karcheer Thanks

hope you're alright blingy

hang tough amber hope things get better for you

Shop hope you are doing okay too

my elbow is still infected so another course of antiB's for me and i'm now in london for the week to spend some time with dp. hoping i feel better than i do right now for the rest of the week as i feel rough as

FedupNagging · 28/03/2016 17:48

Flowers for Amber and Blingy; life just gets a bit crappy sometimes but we're here to handhold.

How is your dh doing Karcheer?

Enjoy your time in London One and hope you improve asap.

Dry my current favourite gins are Adnams copper house (perfect with slice of orange), bulldog with cucumber or pinksters with mint and smashed raspberries. I had some rhubarb gin with ginger ale recently too which, despite my expectations, was delicious. Like the sound of bathtub gin so will look out for that. Have fun!

Our guests have just gone and now summoning the energy to go out with friends to the theatre. Think I'll wear I&C navy skinnies, raspberry cdc jumper and ash jalouse boots.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/03/2016 19:03

Hello all, happy Easter for yesterday.

So sorry to hear your sad news Karcheer, I hope your DH and FIL are doing ok. It's never nice to have to find something in a rush for a funeral, do you have anything navy that would be all right?

QueenC I've been away for the weekend but will check my PMs now :)

Dry hope you had a fun weekend, the gin bar sounds fab. I have just the same problem as you with bum/legs so sympathise. And I can also confirm that you look great in pencil skirts & dresses!

Went shopping to look for trainers for holiday on Sat, but it was horrendously busy at the outlets. I definitely, definitely need some very comfy trainers that would look "ok" with dresses. Thinking maybe running shoes in all white? would like to look as though it's deliberate rather than out of necessity (if at all possible).

Amber and Blingy hope you're ok.

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2016 20:42

Gin is the one thing I don't drink. Was the first thing I ever got really drunk on and it put me off for life!

Interestingly I have since got shitfaced on Sauvignon blanc many times but I still drink it. What I can extrapolate from this is that I was a quicker learner at 14.

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2016 20:43

Have you tried Stan Smiths Blair? I find them V comfy and I think they go with most things?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/03/2016 22:34

I haven't Amber but they are definitely on the shortlist - I need to get myself to some actual shops! You can design your own Stans on the Adidas site too, I had a look there and really like the ostrich effect leather.

Stokey · 29/03/2016 09:18

Happy belated Easter everyone, we've been in deep countryside with no wi-fi.

So sorry to hear about MIL Karcheer , hope DH is OK.

Flowers for Blingy and Amber

I ended up wearing black & white All Saints shift, white jacket & white shades to the wedding, it was on Good Friday so gorgeous weather. The bride said I loozed like a Channel model - I didn't- but I must have done something right.

Drywhitethanks · 29/03/2016 09:23

So last night I wore the Warehouse berry coloured lace shift that Amber has too with Whistles black suede high heels and MJ clutch for dinner, felt good.
Tried Monkey 47 and Alkkemist gin.....both very good indeed but mistake asking barman to recommend......bill for 2 large g and t £45!!!! Shock... Will check prices this evening, have made a list!

QueenC · 29/03/2016 09:53

Lovely compliment stokey.
Welcome back blingy
Hope you're okmamber.

It's been raining here all night but actually seems to be brightening up now. I'll probably spend most of the day packing as I'm at work for the next two days. Sadly my lovely lace Whistles dress looks a bit shapeless now I've lost a bit of weight and toned up so I need to sort out another evening outfit ( or wear the same thing twice). Or buy something out there Grin

KittyHello · 29/03/2016 12:50

Blingy Amber hope all is okay now Flowers

Queen I'd buy out there, can't believe it's come round so fast

Stokey another great wedding compliment

So blazergate, I ordered this black blazer and this black blazer to try, didn't want to spend a fortune as I'm not sure how often I'll wear it.

Blair? was it you upthread who said that you couldn't post or see comments on Pin? I'm exactly the same, I can see what image has been posted but can't comment. Did you manage to resolve it? Anyone else have this problem?

KittyHello · 29/03/2016 12:52

Forgot to say blimey Dry that's a whopper of a g&t bill, btw love that berry Warehouse dress.

libertydoddle · 29/03/2016 13:57

Wedding outfit sounds great Stokey. Black and white is so chic.

Dry I'd be quite annoyed with the barman. If they are recommending something that is well above 'normal' drink price I think they should say that.

Nice blazers Kitty. Good prices.

Yesterday I bought this oversize cardigan and a short cotton cardigan in a reddish colour that I can’t find on the site. I am returning both as the red cardigan is too ‘pink’ (in the shop lighting I thought it looked brick toned) and the oversize one just doesn’t hang properly on me.

My trainer saga continues - Blair totally get your point about wanting to look like you have chosen a style rather than wearing something because needs must. I wear my dark green Nike trainers a lot but I often think that they look like I am wearing them to get somewhere and that my proper shoes must be in my bag.

OK post with a request for help coming up....
