Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

Happy Easter MNV Easter Smile Hope you're all stuffing yourselves with Easter Eggs

[Flowers] Karcheer

Shop how is your dad, improving?

Hello and welcome Nilby I too am a fan of the red dress.

Queen love the Burberry trench, gorgeous colour.

Absolutely no fashion news from me at all, the JCrew blouse arrived and it's a keeper, will wear it with white TS Baxters when the weather gets better.

Will jump on the blazer wagon with you Shop Used to wear them a lot on my 20s, haven't worn one for ages. Bought a Boy blazer from JCrew a while back and I looked as if I was going to work, not a look I was after. I feel I should suit a blazer but the ones I have tried on make me look too work like. Maybe I haven't found the right one yet Hmm

Karcheer dressing rooms:
I have doors because it looks tidier and keeps dust off my clothes. I also have mirrors on some doors so I can open them to get all round view iykwim.
Also got rails inside all doors for belts, scarces, ties etc.
Get as many wardrobes as you can fit in the room, we have approx a 8m run floor to ceiling.
I have :
1X 1 door with high hanging whith a shelf on top...trousers.
1x 2door double hanging for skirts, folded jeans, tops and jackets.
1x2 door with 3 drawers at bottom and 4 shelves on top for knits/tops etc
1x corner curved high hanging for dresses and costs (shoes in clear boxes go at the bottom)
DH has 3x 2 door.
This is plenty...still bursting though Grin
If you want pics pm me and I can send you some.

QueenC · 27/03/2016 11:25

Happy Easter. I love my kids but they are doing my head in Grin. Roll on tomorrow when dh is around as im struggling now.
kitty I don't like anything too smart/office like but the Blazers I have from miss selfridge and gap are fine. Whistles Jersey blazer is also nice but the shape doesn't suit me.

Drywhitethanks · 27/03/2016 11:30

Kitty I'm in the blazer club too..... On way to London for annual pilgrimage doubt I will get to the shops .

So, wore my KM dress last night. Have spent my whole life hating my bum and short legs. Now, thanks to Beyoncé , rounded derrières and little waists seem to be desirable Hmm I had 2 women telling me my bum was great ShockShock ......think perhaps pencil skirts and fitted dresses are the style that suit me best, will stop beating myself up about not looking like a bean pole in jeans. or maybe they were pissed

libertydoddle · 27/03/2016 11:41

dry you have a great ass! Work it baby!

Happy Easter everyone. I am taking DD and Dsis to the science museum in the hope that today might be a bit less mobbed than tomorrow.

QueenC · 27/03/2016 11:41

dry your bum definitely looks good in a dress/skirt. Haven't seen you irl in jeans so can't comment on that. You do suit a dress/skirt Smile

KittyHello · 27/03/2016 13:15

Great compliments Dry judging from the amount of work you put in at the gym you should show off your figure more. Glad you felt great in your dress. Have a good trip to London.

How was your wedding Stokey? what did you end up wearing?

Re: blazers, wool or jersey for a casual look with jeans? I'll be doing school run type stuff. I don't want to look overdone or super polished!

FedupNagging · 27/03/2016 13:39

Just popping in quickly to say Happy Easter Easter Smile

Guests arriving in 20 minutes, everything under control ish fizz in hand, will have a proper catch up later.

shopafrolic · 27/03/2016 17:28

Hi all - no change with DF. I can't visit today as I have a sore throat so need to stay away and see if anything develops.
Took DS to the cinema this morning to see Zootropolis. Absolutely brilliant kid's movie - the references to Breaking Bad made me Grin. Then we ended up at Frankie & Bennies - least said about that the better Shock
Lacking in fashion news but Kitty I always feel more relaxed in a blazer when I roll or pull the sleeves up to 3/4 - takes the formalness away (is that a word?!). I have this one from Zara which Amber and others recommended to me and love it.

shopafrolic · 27/03/2016 17:29

Meant to say Dry you looked fab - and yes Stokey how was yours?

shopafrolic · 27/03/2016 17:30

Crap - third post lucky.....
I meant to say that I re-dyed an old AV jersey blazer and some GAP skinnies with black Dylon dye - came up a treat. Wondering about redoing some of my blue jeans now but if they have worn out knees will they just end up lighter on the knees than the rest?

Karcheer · 27/03/2016 18:29

Evening all,

Hope you've had a nice Easter and not eaten too much chocolate!
My dear mil passed away last night so today's been a bit meh, went to see my fil he's not great.
Any suggestions on what to wear to a funeral is very much appreciated, I no longer have anything black or appropriate :/

I wore my tan blazer yesterday with a white shirt and blue jeans, I felt very together even dh said I looked nice. I think blazers are miracle works.

dry where did you get your wardobes from? we will have two 3500mm runs in the dressing room and a separate 1000mm wardrobe next to the bedroom door. I could potentially have another 1500mm half height cupboard, but I'm currently thinking I might put my dressing table there although there won't be any natural light. Pictures would be useful, thank, you.

libertydoddle · 27/03/2016 19:42

So sorry karcheer. May she rest in peace.

shop I have dyed blue jeans a few times. I find the colour can look a bit 'solid'. black is definitely the one that works best. Thanks for the Zootropolis tip. Science Museum was hell!!!

I am going to Westfield tomorrow and one of the things on my list is a blazer. I want one to wear with the Hush jumpsuit and the Uniqlo Ines navy shirt dress.

Lib does mini scare easily. There is one bit that makes everyone jump. Give me a buzz before and I can prewarn you but DS loved it.
Karcheer so sorry for your loss. Hopefully she is at peace now having been so poorly.

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2016 19:49

I'm really sorry to hear that Karcheer I hope your dh is as ok as he can be. Not sure on what to wear, would you prefer to buy something?

That sounds good Shop, will check it out.

The winder fell off my watch this morning. So I couldn't change the time. I feel like, with my phone and this, my things are turning on me.

shopafrolic · 27/03/2016 19:57

Marsha Lib and Dry email

Karcheer · 27/03/2016 20:09

I've lost my mobile phone it's driving me insane! I had it this morning.
marsha yes I think I'd like to buy something.

KittyHello · 27/03/2016 21:12

So sorry to hear about your mil Karcheer condolences to your dh

Lib interested to see what blazer you come back with. I think I need to try one on, been looking at Baukjen/Me&Em/Hush etc

Drywhitethanks · 27/03/2016 22:08

Karcher so sorry.

FedupNagging · 27/03/2016 22:25

Karcheer I'm so sorry for for your loss, condolences to you and your dh. You're probably going to have to buy a black outfit I guess unless dmil specifically requested no black. Grey is acceptable if you prefer.

I have 2 Blazers - grey one from Gap which I wear a lot and a navy stripe; both look great with jeans but I reckon there's room for a navy one too!

I dyed my faded jeans recently Lib and the colour turned out uniform all over. I like a dark blue disguises a host of imperfections so may be a bit flat for you.

Welcome to Nilby, love the red dress which will look fab with tan. Not sure about the leather jacket though, how about a cream jacket/ cropped cardi?

Dry sounds like your outfit was spot on yesterday.

Hope you feel better soon Shop so you can get back to visit df.

Looking forward to your shopping links tomorrow Lib - we have yet more visitors.

justasecond · 27/03/2016 23:07

so sorry to hear that karcheer, may she rest in peace. Hope your dh is bearing up as much as can be expected.

Have had a quiet weekend with the dc we took them to see zootropolis they loved it and so did I. I liked how it was a kids film but there was a serious message in there about tolerance and coexistence.

Hi nilby welcome! The red dress is my fave too.

Have fun at westfield lib I love uniqlo atm. I have just discovered that the mens merino crew necks in small are a brilliant fit on me.

Karcheer · 28/03/2016 07:50

Thank you everyone.

QueenC · 28/03/2016 08:12

Flowers karcheer. Are there any dark colours in the autumn palette? Otherwise you may just be better off getting something black. Do you have chance to go shopping or will it need to be done online?

VivaVegas · 28/03/2016 08:42

Sorry to hear your sad news Karcheer, hopefully she is at peace now.
Kitty I have 2 of the Whistles Jersey Blazers (black and grey) and love them as they are smart with a dress for work but also look good with jeans and a tshirt. I also have a navy one from Massimo Dutti which is a bit smarter.
We too saw Zootropolis yesterday, great film for kids and adults alike!
Queen will reply to your PM.
Weather awful today, going away for a few days but delaying setting off until it dies down a bit.

LinusLovesBretons · 28/03/2016 08:50

So sorry for your loss karcheer. Can autumns wear charcoal grey or another type of dark grey? Maybe that would work instead of black.
