Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

They are so you shop!

Wearing my Fling jeans again with another one of my Bretons.

I love them so much I have ordered a corduroy pair on The Outnet. I suspect they will be too hot to wear now but they'll keep until next Autumn.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/04/2016 18:18

Hi all :)

It's not just you One, I feel like I'm constantly AWOL atm, work is just manic! Am in the office now, but I'm the only one so I can justify an MN break Grin

Bernice we fly next Thursday evening! I've got the day off for manicure and packing - I'm like you, I hate taking too much stuff, so I've had a list ready for weeks and bought things to fill the gaps of what I thought I'd need.

Fab shoes shop, hope you feel better soon.

Dream that is rubbish, hope it gets warmer there!

Dry and Linus my MIL does confit duck with bean cassoulet, where can you buy confit duck in the uk? I haven't seen it but maybe I just haven't looked in the right aisles in Waitrose Wink

Mara shame about the bags but you need to be able to use them! They were both gorgeous though.

I have no buys to report, though I did go and try on my potential birthday present at the weekend (a watch). I'm really craving a shopping trip!

shopafrolic · 21/04/2016 18:34

Doc called this afternoon and confirmed it is definitely a Strep A infection so will be on the antibiotics for a while longer.

Devastated about Prince. Just devastated. I remember stitching strings of pearls to my denim jacket and trying to copy the Sign of the Times logo in marker pen. Just a genius. We've lost too many this year. :(

justasecond · 21/04/2016 18:48

Oh no Prince is dead! I loved his music he really was one of a kind.

MarshaBrady · 21/04/2016 19:30

Oh no! Sad

MarshaBrady · 21/04/2016 19:36

I have such good memories of what I felt like when listening to his music. Going out with friends, dressing up, feel brilliant. So sad

shopafrolic · 21/04/2016 20:06

Me too Marsha I can picture snapshots of my life, getting ready for nights out with friends, customising clothes, talking about boys with his soundtrack in the background, watching him on screen, his facial expressions, his guitar playing, the raw sexual nature of him. So so so so gutted.

Drywhitethanks · 21/04/2016 20:14

Gutted here too, weirdly the guy was hugely charismatic, his music was huge for me. Feeling sad.

Wore my nude R and B Quilty ballet flats today, felt like a duck, more used to pointy shoes now.

LinusLovesBretons · 21/04/2016 20:26

I remember dancing to Cream in my DF's study (obviously when my parents weren't home) as he had one of the first CD players in our town and the sound was amazing.

That orgasmic scream in the intro!!

And Purple Rain was a favourite slow dance, nice and long so you could stay glued to your dancing partner for a long time. Wink

Drywhitethanks · 21/04/2016 20:37

Little Red Corvette was good too

MarshaBrady · 21/04/2016 20:42

I loved Cream, my favourite. Still takes me back when I hear it on the radio,.

shopafrolic · 21/04/2016 20:46

Raspberry Beret, Cream and Alphabet Street for me. "Cat. We need you to rap"

LinusLovesBretons · 21/04/2016 20:51

Oh Raspberry Beret! "And when it was warm, she wouldn't wear much more"

libertydoddle · 21/04/2016 20:58

I can't believe it Sad what a huge loss.

gutted about Prince. Really am. such a sad loss tot he music world, such a hugely talented man and im sure he had so much more to offer. Find it very disrespectful that people are speculating about whether he had certain illnesses or not. It shouldn't matter whether he did or didn't. Let him rest in peace fgs

AmberNectarine · 21/04/2016 21:40

When doves cry for me. What an incredible legacy he leaves behind.

justasecond · 21/04/2016 21:59

libertydoddle · 21/04/2016 23:38

Cool T shop.

justa I bought some beige Superga in TKMaxx. I tried those MD ones on but they felt a bit strange across the top of my foot. I also noticed that all the staff were wearing the navy version and all the shoes were very creased across the top so that put me off. I was disappointed as they do look lovely.

*Justa8 I've got those converse, had had them for a few years & they are super comfy. I wear them a lot with dresses in the better weather especially if I'm doing a fair bit of walking. They are also my tralling shoe of choice because I find them very versatile.
