Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

mara didn't know Georgia comes in a bigger size,
I agree with everyone you sound like an amazing cook, have you thought about blogging about your recipes?

stokey and lib no its not an age thing, its just silly, and condecinding, sometimes people in the fashion world, are so out of touch with reality,

linus the flings are great, Im really thinking about that Bruno sweater you pointed out to me,, might give it a try,

I'm sat in the garden ,with a big cup of garrocher grey tea ! Have just read the Mr Collins and Charlotte thread, its one of the best threads in a very long time oh it's thread like these that make MN great, Appearntly Mr Collins was dynamite in the sack, and Mr Darcy was a big disappointment ,poor Lizzie Grin ,

justasecond · 20/04/2016 15:50

Thats a shame re the bags Mara . I remember seeing the Georgia in Harrods so it must have been the bigger size one. Worth a look if you are that way. Love the sound of your recipes too!
Haven't seen that thread Lara will have a look later.
Agree re the DHL tee its disgusting snobbery.

Dreamqueen · 20/04/2016 18:12

I agree no point keeping the bags if they are not 100% perfect. You will not feel joy when using them Mara Dinner pie sounds lovely.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/04/2016 18:15

hello all, sorry i've been MIA yet again. i've been in london again so busy most days and then exhausted at night. home now for the time being. must start packing up and sorting things for the charity shops and tip. seems like such a lot of work but it must be done. on to new adventures!

libertydoddle · 20/04/2016 18:43

When do you move one?

Bernice I wore the Hush jumpsuit out for dinner with a friend at the weekend. I need heels to feel OK in it so will need some block heeled sandals. Also I still haven't got to the post office with the jeans Blush. They will get to you but potentially next week now as work is v busy and I am going to Ireland this weekend.

shop Flowers I had forgotten about the flip flops. It's like being surprised twice with the same thing!!

Evening!

one organising a move is always stressful, I know!

Has anyone tried these ?

I am really trying to find some trousers I can wear in summer (as jeans will be too hot) but I am struggling to find some that are not khaki/cream/beige.

They look nice and comfy but Hush quality can be a bit hit and miss.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/04/2016 19:09

August time lib hopefully at least, i just want to go now!

it is stressful linus i've moved so so many times i ought to be used to it but it never gets easier no matter how many times you do it!

Bought MAC ruby woo as i passed through st pancras, really loving it, it's a really good colour for me

Everyone knows me for having bright red hair but i am seriously considering going back to my natural colour which is a sort of mid brown with red highlights. It's just too much upkeep right now especially when i'm not feeling great so i am giving a lot of consideration to stripping it out and going back to brunette. I don't know if that's a sign of maturity or laziness!!

LinusLovesBretons · 20/04/2016 19:48

one I've just put on Ruby Woo in your honour.

I've never worn it outside the house as it's such a bright matte red and I feel very self-concious wearing it even though it seems to suit me.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/04/2016 19:55

last time i was there i bought a fuchsia in readiness for the wedding im going to. think it will go well with all the rest of the pink ill be wearing barring my blue dress and blue hair clips. the pink is a bit more subtle than it sounds though, low heeled pink pointed shoes which are very plain, small pink mini gracie/or box clutch havent decided yet, pink shrug again which is plain and the pink lipstick. will probably have neutral nails i think so i don't overdo it

LinusLovesBretons · 20/04/2016 20:07

I only have one pink matte lipstick and that's Nars Schiap. I love it, but again, I have never worn it outside the house.

I do love the new Chanel Le Stylo lipsticks, very moisturising, not too pigmented and leaves a stain after the lipstick has worn off.

shopafrolic · 20/04/2016 20:14

Love all these adventurous eaters. DS will try many more things when other people cook for him Smile He's still not keen on things in sauces though.
I've just done another mid life crisis purchase and ordered some green mirrored ray ban aviators. As seen on LvdP of Real Housewives of BH Grin

LinusLovesBretons · 20/04/2016 20:25

I bought some blue mirrored Ray Ban sunglasses recently shop but not aviators sadly as they look rubbish on me. Sad

DS is not a huge fan of Bolognese sauce weirdly enough, he only wants to eat it when it's at the bottom of his plate with the pasta and cheese on top and not mixed. Hmm

shopafrolic · 20/04/2016 20:27

I nearly ordered blue aviators Linus but then realised green will work better with my wardrobe. They have gold frames and technically I'm supposed to wear silver but doubt it matters. I tried on my friend's lilac mirrored pair and they are gorgeous.

LinusLovesBretons · 20/04/2016 20:41

these are mine.

DM hates them because she hates mirrored lenses but I love them.

shopafrolic · 20/04/2016 20:58

Nice Linus Smile

QueenC · 20/04/2016 21:08

Just been looking at bags with de and thought this could be perfect instead of the d&g mara Wink

one outfit sounds great and bet you look good in ruby woo in an almost kind of vintage way if that makes sense. Exciting times with the move. How's onecat now? Will s/he be moving with you?

Drywhitethanks · 20/04/2016 21:25

Lara you've just shattered all my illusions about Mr D Sad

Linus I ADORE confit, just love the stuff, pie sounds great.....I cook it with garlicky flageolet beans.

What fabulous weather this week....it's been so great being able to wear my flats without socks, almost in my SS uniform of ankle grazers and little top heatech still firmly on though Grin tomorrow I'm planning a rare navy outfit with my nude R and B ballet flats before it gets cold once more

AmberNectarine · 20/04/2016 21:30

Evening all,

Agree the weather has been a pleasure - so nice walking to the station under blue skies. Dressed down for work today and just wore a biker jacket - so nice to be out of a big coat!

Out on Friday night to a rooftop bar - predictably rain is forecast, sigh!

Not much shopping to report. I have been restrained, for once!

Topazandpearl · 20/04/2016 21:34

I love the sound of those recipes Linus and mara. We had a similar rule about DC trying one spoonful of anything they didn't think they'd like. They became very non-fussy eaters.

I have read some of the Mr Collins thread, am really enjoying it as I studied the text in school.

I do have that top Bernice and am happy with it. So fat, I have worn it with black jeans and navy trousers.

I love that feather tshirt (shop?)

The move will happen before you know it one. Just do what you have to do one thing at a time and it will all get done (I was in the same boat this time last year. It will be worth it in the end!)

LinusLovesBretons · 20/04/2016 21:41

LOVE flageolet beans dry!

Forgot to say, I haven't RTFT but the tv series with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle was my favourite many years ago when I was at University and I refuse to believe Mr. Collins is an animal in the sack.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/04/2016 21:56

QueenC onecat is better than she was but will still not tolerate dsis being in the flat while i am in it. she's okay with her when i'm not here but when i am and sis comes round, she goes into some sort of protective mode and it's very odd. almost as if she sees sis as a threat to me somehow. ive discussed it with the vet and they think it could be sis's new medication causing her to smell differently to onecat an thats whats making her turn against her. bit of a mystery really. hopefully she will be coming with me straight away if we can find somewhere that will let me have her there, otherwise my brother will look after her for a while until i can take her. i wont leave her behind forever, i'd miss the little menace too much for that!

shopafrolic · 21/04/2016 09:55

Morning all. Wearing Selfish Mother 'winging it' grey sweatshirt, R&B blue skinnies and Stan Smiths today which still squeak so much when I walk they are driving me mad. Look great, sound rubbish - much like David Beckham Grin

Dreamqueen · 21/04/2016 10:07

I also love Ruby Woo.
I'm in Girona Spain & it's freezing here. I've packed completely the wrong clothes & luckily there is a Zara across the road because I need a sweater/sweatshirt before I turn blue from the cold. At the moment i'm wearing a Hush tank top with a Great Plains breton over it & a leather biker jacket!!!!!!

shopafrolic · 21/04/2016 14:32

Rubbish Dreamqueen hope you find something in Zara
I have found my summer shoe in my dreams - pointed espadrilles :) LOVE

shopafrolic · 21/04/2016 14:33

For Lib and or Karcheer for summer frayed top
