Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

merrells for mara. They are v practical. These aren't mine but are similar.
shop those mouse shoes are so cute.

Bit chilly here. Been for a power walk and still in running gear.

maradesbois · 18/04/2016 11:53

They're ok QueenC, look like my dsis's climbing shoes not that I'm any kind of expert in technical footwear.

Shop, yes saw the HL but sitting on my hands am buying too much atm.

So my stuff arrived. Love both bags but just a bit concerned about size, they are really tiny. Going to think about it for a couple of days.

QueenC · 18/04/2016 13:49

Ooh lovely mara. What material is the lemons? Will it get dirty or can it be wipe cleaned?

FedupNagging · 18/04/2016 14:54

Both bags look lovely Mara - keep both, you're bound to use them enables

Queen I tend to wear my hunter wellies for walking most of the time unless it's summer and dry in which case I wear supergas. I have a pair of Helly Hansen trainers but not massively keen on them.

Nice shoe links Shop and happy birthday to MrShop and belated felicitations to MrAmber too.

Karcheer if you're around that HL top Shop linked would be perfect for you.

So I didn't order the BR trousers yesterday - was about to order both the stripe and navy when I noticed they are dry clean only. I was hoping both pairs would be a wardrobe staple over the next few months so to dry clean would be a pita. am a bit miffed about that actually.

I decided to have a go at the double denim look today - after a fashion! Dark blue skinnies with a faded denim jacket over pink stripe breton, grey cashmere scarf and grey dune flatforms.

shopafrolic · 18/04/2016 16:42

Doc thinks I have a Strep throat infection and has given me 10 days of antibiotics Shock so I can be back seeing DF ASAP. Nightmare.
Mara don't keep if the size is wrong. It'll just frustrate you. Shame though - they look beautiful. Is the clutch leather?

Drywhitethanks · 18/04/2016 17:18

Agree with shop , Mara for the £ the bags need to be perfect.

Ah the shed is open for business soon ...would love to have a MU in it. We could have aperitif in the boudoir.

Life post 40 is brill Smile

Off to scroll back to see Blair's green silk top.

shopafrolic · 18/04/2016 17:52

Loads of Lanvin flats for those with teeny tiny feet on the Outnet

shopafrolic · 18/04/2016 17:59

nice for sunny days

SoyYo · 18/04/2016 18:33

Quick check in
Mara beautiful bags! But don't keep unless you are sure...
Marsha sorry cannot make MU will be going to a biker do in Aragon, such a shame!
Lara the bakers deco sounds perfect, pictures please!

Pre holiday panic starting to set in...we are leaving on Wed eve, its only for a week and taking hand luggage only (going to our village house in Spain), it will be super informal but will go out to dinner a few nights. Soo much to do at work and home before we go! I've ordered a maxi from Bravissimo I like the look of but did not need will link later! I'm well endowed so just went there looking for a new white shirt for work as that's the only item i order from them repeatedly imo their price vs quality is not the best but spotted it in the sale and thought it would be great with a denim jacket when will i ever learn, have tons of summer clothes

SoyYo · 18/04/2016 18:36

Tomorrow pedi booked (tick) and hairdresser managed to fit me for trim and colour Wed lunchtime (tick) so at least will be looking glam for relaxing week while trying to shoehorn clothes into hand luggage

libertydoddle · 18/04/2016 18:58

How annoying re the strep throat Shop. Thanks for the Outnet links but going to try and not spend much for a month or two. I have so many things I don't wear. Forcing myself to try out new combinations.

Mara both bags are gorgeous. What can you fit into them?

SoyYo · 18/04/2016 19:02

Btw reading other peoples threads and plans I come to the conclusion I live by the seat of my pants (is that the right English expression?)
I've only started to think about it 48 hours before journey hence maxi impulse buy have decided on black/white tops/trousers with a bit of denim, red, orange and blue thrown in, 1 swimsuit doubt Med warm enough for swimming so sunbathing onlytrainers, sandals (no heels).
Am I weird to think about it so late in the day? Confused

Dreamqueen · 18/04/2016 19:12

I like that colour combination Soyo. I think about packing for ages but then leave it until the last minute also. Bon voyage.

SoyYo · 18/04/2016 19:28

Indeed dream
I also think because I travel such a lot with work I've become a bit blase but hols require more "thinking" than work wardrobe IMO
I'm looking fw to it!

SoyYo · 18/04/2016 19:51

fly by the seat of my pants not "live" doh
Please don't ever be too polite to correct me despite a lifetime in UK I still encounter bilingual challenges! Blush

SoyYo · 18/04/2016 19:55

The other day I said to DH (pure Scot bred) "don't be afraid to put your head above the parekeet"!!! Grin

libertydoddle · 18/04/2016 20:16

Grin at head above the parakeet!!!

SoyYo I always aspire to packing early but often end up doing it last minute.

KittyHello · 18/04/2016 21:15

Soyyo I spend my life living by the seat of my pants and some good things have happened to me due to me being disorganised. I leave everything to the last minute. I was the same with my uni assignments I'd be up burning the midnight oil drinking coke and taking pro plus starting an essay that was given out 3 months ago! Have a great holiday.

Been reading the north/south divide thread, it's quite interesting.

Shop hope the ABs take effect soon.

Mara agree with the rest, the bags should be perfect for you to keep.

Fedup I like those HH trainers, I need a more robust type trainer for when out with the dc.

FedupNagging · 18/04/2016 21:16

Another last minute packer here - spend ages thinking about what to take, can't make a decision so stick head in the sand until the day before!

Grin SoyYo - your english is excellent so don't worry. Holiday wardrobe sounds spot on; it is virtually impossible for me to just do hand luggage!

Saw a lady wearing almost this exact outfit today but with converse - she looked fantastic. Might try my superga's with flares tomorrow to see if that works.

Drywhitethanks · 18/04/2016 21:29

SoyYo don't worry about it, I say stuff like that all the time and I'v e lived in England all my life Grin
Sounds as if you have last minute packing down to a tee so I wouldn't worry about it.
Fedup I used to love wide legged trousers....that outfit is so elegant.

Topazandpearl · 18/04/2016 21:53

The north/south thread is interesting all right Kitty. We are in the north and my DD once refused my off of a loan of a pair of shoes for a night out, because they weren't high enough "I'd probably be spat at for wearing kitten heels" Shock.

Wore my new top today. I have a good feeling about this one!

I agonise about packing for holidays and then leave it all until the last minute SoyYo. Enjoy your holiday.

That is a lovely outfit Fedup.

Topazandpearl · 18/04/2016 21:56

PS I agree mara, the bags are gorgeous but they have to be absolutely right or you won't use them and they will be a constant reproach. So, the question is, how much do you love them?

KittyHello · 18/04/2016 22:09

I love that top Topaz and lovely to see you back on here.

Topazandpearl · 18/04/2016 22:37

Thank you Kitty.

I hope the ABs work shop and you feel better soon.

shopafrolic · 19/04/2016 10:24

Thanks Topaz
Morning all. Sunny here - DS' has headed back to school so the house seems quiet (but it's quite nice at the moment).
Wearing IM Crisi boots, R&B blue skinnies, black vest top and this tee over the top.
Watched Marcella again last night - brilliant storyline, I love the writer - but I am also in love with her style, hair, biker boots, coat everything.
