Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

Candice Cooper look good Cranagh. But I have solved the issue for now with a pair of cream Superga from good old TKMaxx.

I'm going to return the River Island biker. Still undecided about it so safer to return Smile

Bernice good price for the Ines dress. I am a bit disappointed as I've decided it's not work suitable. The fabric is nice and silky but crumples easily and clings to tights. And the tie back means I can't put a belt with it and IMO it needs a belt for a smarter look. I'm going to keep it for summer weekend wear and style it with sandals or Superga.

Wedding outfit sounds great One. Good to hear your elbow has healed.

Evening all, I'm just in holiday survival mood, no links. Bur have semi-booked our summer holiday, flights and one week's accommodation done.

For hair, I like Karine Jackson just off Charing Cross Rd, Mara. They're renowned for being good colourist though which you don't need. Still recommend for a salon experience.

KittyHello · 06/04/2016 21:31

Fedup I sent the Jigsaw khaki V neck back as it was too big but have ordered the next size down , will post a pic of the V when it arrives.

Too much going on to comment on, I''l have a go

Shop good new about your df coming home and glad the HL blazer is a keeper, is this the type of black vest you are looking for?

Dry when I was on my black blazer hunt I considered this JCrew one, would still like to buy it at some point They do it in petite as well so it won't be too long. Not sure if this is the one Lara was referring to.I think recently to ask how much it costs to return an item and they said it's around £5.

Justa I too like the black loafers Lara linked and the R&B loafers you linked. I have some loafers from R&B and they took a while to break in but now they are pretty comfortable.

Bernice and One lovely to see you back.

Popped in town yesterday and bought 2 pairs of khaki trousers from BR, some Sloan fit ones for work, which reminded me of you Dry they're a fab fit aren't they? I also bought as a jeans alternative for the summer

shopafrolic · 06/04/2016 22:03

Loved her casual outfit Kitty but I don't want spaghetti straps. this is the top but I want it with normal armholes e.g. Not with a wide strip of elastic joining front to back (which you can't see in the pic)

libertydoddle · 07/04/2016 08:03

I am in fashion hell. Decided to wear a black dress to work. On the Tube now and have just realised that I put navy opaques on instead of black Blush. I'm a fecking edjit.

VERY fitted no vanity sizing at Reiss very flattering, lovely detailing and quality. That's me done for spring Grin

Drywhitethanks · 07/04/2016 10:17

Liberty just pretend youre doing the v trendy navy/black combo

Lara now hooked on Outlander....I've told DH he won't be allowed home from his trip unless he's wearing a kilt Grin...its a proper tweed fest isn't it?

Drywhitethanks · 07/04/2016 11:41

OOTD trying not to wear denim a bit C Underwood meets Me+Em:

Black ankle grazers
Zara black crew neck oversized jumper over
Me+Em white layering shirt again
Black loafers
MD Camel coat again
Red Longchamp leather bag

AmberNectarine · 07/04/2016 11:57

I am wearing a bright pink fitted dress today with snake print Ghillie type heels. Didn't seem so bright when I got it out of the wardrobe but everyone in the office seems to be wearing black or grey today, while I am wearing the sartorial equivalent of a neon sign! Ah well!

Larastheme · 07/04/2016 15:44

Come on Linus ! We are waiting for the verdict,

dry season 2 begins in acouple of days! Can't wait, dh told me that right before engaging in fight the highlanders would remove their kilts and just fight with their shirts, and nothing else, , I'd imagine that it must have caused a great deal of shock for the british army , must have stopped them dead in their tracks for a few seconds Grin

we've just been to scotland and its always so beautiful to be there,

bernice my DM used to buy loads of YSL Rive Gauche , which is the diffusion line, they were famous for the safari jackets ,DM used to own many , wish she kept some of her stuff, she had some really iconic pieces,

Haven't seen Marcella yet,but have read some good things about it, might start watching it,
I'm trying to get my hands on the documentary of Gloria Vanderbilt , "nothing left unsaid" , have always found her very interesting, and mighty god! She is 92 ! And still looks great,

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 07/04/2016 16:08

first pair of new glasses have arrived and im so happy to be able to see clearly. i didn't realise how badly i needed new glasses. i have another pair on the way as well as i wanted options. both pairs are black but different shapes

QueenC · 07/04/2016 16:09

I'm back!!!! Had an absolutely fabulous time. 31 degree heat, pool, great food, great service, great shops. What more could a girl want. I'm struggling with jet lag/tiredness but trying to stay awake now until tonight. The dc are still away till tomorrow so I may be on here quite a bit this evening.

So my purchases....

QueenC · 07/04/2016 16:11

Since having my colours done I've mssed khaki trousers and decided that this summer I'd get some anyway. Bought these as they are a cool grey-y khaki colour so will tone in better with my tops.

QueenC · 07/04/2016 16:17

top. great for work in the summer and also for summer evenings on holiday.

QueenC · 07/04/2016 16:19

another top

QueenC · 07/04/2016 16:24

my little treat to myself. I hadn't really been planning on getting a bag despite looking in coach but this one spoke to me. I slept on it and decided it would be a great purchase as the navy/black of it makes it great for evenings out.

I was a bit disappointed in the shopping as I was expecting things to be a lot cheaper. Trainets seemed to be but other than that everything was pretty comparable. I drooled over lots of lovely shoes, bags and jewels though. There were some utterly divine silver chanel bags.

LinusLovesBretons · 07/04/2016 16:35

The trainers should be here tomorrow lara Oh Impatient One

I read a biography on Gloria Vanderbilt once, very facinating life. Did you know she's Anderson Cooper's mum?

I vaguely remember there being a Gloria Vanderbilt perfume when I was little.

Love that bag queenc. Perfect for you, not too tough and not too girly.

I am also on the lookout for summer trousers as I want to get out of jeans on colder days but it's hard to find something I like.

Great blazer dry! Which reminds me I really need to wear my Stella one more often. I will have to have a try on session to see what looks good on me as a SAHM and not too corporate.

shopafrolic · 07/04/2016 16:55

Welcome back QueenC glad you had a great time - pics looked fab.
I'm off early tomorrow - have packed my suitcase but either my head has grown or my J Crew panama has shrunk (I do recall leaving it on a sun lounger during a rain storm in Grand Cayman last year) so no hat for me this year....
Taxi comes at 5.30AM - eek.

LinusLovesBretons · 07/04/2016 18:09

Can someone tell me when the next MU is again? Thanks!

shopafrolic · 07/04/2016 18:25

14th May I think Linus
Lib what shoe size are you?

shopafrolic · 07/04/2016 19:23

KittyHello · 07/04/2016 20:00

Glad you had a fab time, I have those BR trousers you linked, mine are khaki, although I need to think about footwear for them. Great bag for you too.

Lovely jacket Dry think I'd like a black one as well.

Have a great holiday Shop

LinusLovesBretons · 07/04/2016 20:08

Thanks shop! Have a great holiday!

Drywhitethanks · 07/04/2016 20:17

Kitty meant to say under no circumstances must you try to wash your Sloane fit trousers, despite what everyone says mine SHRUNK! Sad

I'm Grin after another very "jolly" day in the city with some collegues no purchases today but I've decided that I'm really not a cocktail woman because:
They're too sweet
They're too creamy
You really don't know what crap they are actually adding the KIR Royale was not a proper oneAngry

Lara can't wait for season 2 them Grin

Shop have a brilliant time Smile
QueenC welcome home Smile

libertydoddle · 07/04/2016 20:41
