Come and chat about fashion, make up and anything glittery and frivolous. We'll take your bad hair day seriously and you never have to apologise for a new bag Grin

And if you happen to know where I can find comfortable but stylish trainers in kakhi or dark brown you are particularly welcome (Blatant abuse of thread setting up privileges) Wink

Hi everyone, been awol for a while but enjoying catching up!
Love those trainers linus hope they work out for you!
Good news about your df shop hope it is a smooth adjustment for all of you. Hope you can get some rest on holiday. That top is really lovely shame about the armholes.
I went sockless for the first time this year today and reminded myself that I would like need a new pair of loafers. When the dc go back to school I'll hit the shops and maybe try the russell and bromley chester like these but not sure what colour I tried them a couple of years ago and found them uncomfortable but maybe they need to be worn in? I also like some beige suede tod's ones but not sure about the bobbly sole. Just ordered these too dune loafers
ootd was black and white breton stripe top with rounded hem from H&M - brilliant top, 100% cotton and only £14.99. Not online but worth looking instore if anyone is after a black and white breton
frame le garcon light grey jeans
russell and bromley animal print calf hair loafers- now almost worn out
zara flowing trench coat
black chloe marcie

Larastheme · 05/04/2016 18:26

linus I saw the bryce trainers today and thought they are really desgined specifically for you! They are way softer looking than the Bart ones. Have seen some lovely stuff at marant could have bought everything on display but im still sticking to my 16 for 16 list Wink
this dress is something I'm concidering but I've seen it in a more terracotta shade, so gorgous on and reminds me of a marant dress I had a few years ago,in navy, wish I didn't give it away now!

shop Flowers, its tough but at least it will more comfortable and I can imagine more quieter than hospital,

Larastheme · 05/04/2016 18:37

Ohh have tried these ,beyond gorgeous, have a soft spot for tassels, when they are done right . plus I've always loved the name Alois,

Larastheme · 05/04/2016 18:42

justa I've wanted to link these for some time now, and there is always some kind of j crew code floating around, and keep your eyes on theout net as they have some great stocks of tods loafers every now and then,

justasecond · 05/04/2016 18:51

ooh I love those jcrew ones lara great shape. I will keep my eye on them for a/w as they look like I could also get away with wearing socks with them Grin
those sandals are beautiful!

Drywhitethanks · 05/04/2016 21:03

LOVE those shoes for Amber so gorgeous........

I did look at J Crew Lara, will check again....and BTW I'm about to start Outlander.

Drywhitethanks · 05/04/2016 21:08

The Ludlow looks good, but I need a code......a big one Grin

Drywhitethanks · 05/04/2016 21:11

And they dont do free returns

Drywhitethanks · 05/04/2016 21:12

Ooh look Halo how cute....

shopafrolic · 05/04/2016 21:30

Did anyone watch Marcella last night? So good. And I loved her style. article here
She had an amazing M necklace in one scene but I can't find a pic anywhere.

AmberNectarine · 05/04/2016 22:11

They are lovely shop. Cray dollar though!

I have done a bit of a Topshop smash and grab. Will link if any of it is good!

maradesbois · 05/04/2016 22:15

Evening,

Linus am waiting with bated breath for the bryce verdict, will be very happy if I've managed to find trainers for the girl who thought she couldn't wear them!

justa I love the suede tod's gommino loafers, so chic and as comfortable as slippers. They can be slippery on wet pavements but you wouldn't really wear them in rain.

dry jcrew blazers sound perfect for your specifications, worth saving for.

Am trying to use the holiday to focus on basic maintenance rather than clothes. Have booked a course of glycolic peels, Botox for my no. 11s and brow treatment at bobbi brown. Need to book a haircut too, its so long, haven't had it cut for months. Will be picking brains about London hairdressers at the MU as my plan of sticking with old one isn't working.

shopafrolic · 05/04/2016 22:32

Mara you need my hairdresser in your life. Tiny tiny salon in Earls Court so not if you want the whole lux experience but he does hair for LFW, PFW and MFW and is really good at what he does. Lib has been to him too. Text me if you want his details. X

Drywhitethanks · 06/04/2016 07:32

How odd....I have a board on Pinterest called "Looks I like", it has disappeared from my IPad but still on phone, both times using the app. Confused

libertydoddle · 06/04/2016 09:27

Do it Mara. We can have hair do meet ups!!!

shopafrolic · 06/04/2016 09:31

Yeah Lib three of us in a row - you wouldn't mind being there for 2 hours then! :) --he does take quite a while and do multiple clients at once Mara

maradesbois · 06/04/2016 09:54

Thanks Shop, will text you. Yay to hairdresser mus! Am not at all bothered about luxe experience, have been going to a little local place near our old house for years and really like my chats with the owner as well as how she does my hair but it's just not practical any more. Remember meeting lib shortly after she'd had the chop from your guy, she looked great.

Weather is rubbish boo hoo. Am hosting a playdate and was hoping to get them outside but no chance atm.

Dry my pin is strange too, I get all comments twice on my phone.

Drywhitethanks · 06/04/2016 10:13

Off for a day shopping with wine Grin the blazer search continues

Ootd

MD Camel coat what else?
MV black skinny jeans on ankle
Office burgundy patent tassel pointy loafer
Me + Em layering shirt under
Gap burgundy merino crew neck
Radley Grosvenor bag no dog
Longchamps black leather bracelet worn with my everyday gold bangle
Pearl in ears
Feel a bit luxe Grin

shopafrolic · 06/04/2016 11:18

Outfit sounds lush Dry
My lovely friend who owns the house we holiday at in provence has just been round to give me her expert opinion on the blazer. I tried it with skinnies and my SE Karen boots and it is a keeper. She says it just needs a steam at the back where it has been in the box. Yay! Thought it was good but wanted to be sure and I trust her. So Thanks Dry you have found me a blazer. x

BerniceBobsHerHair · 06/04/2016 11:49

That sounds like a lovely outfit Dry. I like the sound of shopping with wine too Wink

Love the J Crew blazers linked. Dry may be good to keep your cheapie Next one while you are looking for a wool one - the shape really suits you.

I really like your too Fedup - the Gap one - is that a style they bring out every year?

I have a YSL (think it is a diffusion line though!) blazer I bought from a dress agency. It is lovely soft material but I think it might be a bit 80s in the cut - I worry it makes me look like a quarterback.

Intrigued to see if the IM trainers work for Linus

So am thinking of doing the 5:2 diet - Linus and Mara I think you've done it? What did you eat on your fast days? I need a strategy as I am not good with self denial Wink. Also planning to do the Shred but that will need to be when DC are back at school.

Shop I hope your DF's move home goes smoothly.

Lib I have bought the same uniqlo dress as you - still waiting for it to arrive. I would like a shirt dress, have also ordered this Whistles one - which I won't be wearing unbuttoned to mid thigh. What do you wear with the Uniqlo one?

BerniceBobsHerHair · 06/04/2016 11:49

Can we have some pics Shop??

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 06/04/2016 17:44

hello all, sorry ive been so quiet, ive been either with dp, busy doing school work or ill as the elbow needed a second lot of antib's to get it dealt with. hopefully that's it sorted nwo though. it does feel a lot better now

not much on the fashion front to report, bought a few basic vests, a cath kidson bag for uni as its practical and pretty enough, oh and i bought a white and very very dark navy printed DKNY JEANS blazer. it's lovely on and hopefully will be good for summer

Hopefully i've sorted my outfit for the wedding ive got to go to, dark navy michael:michael kors dress, pink shrug, pink bag and just some pink shoes to find.

AmberNectarine · 06/04/2016 18:54

I have an all saints blazer I won on eBay for a fiver that is absolutely perfect. Never felt the need for even look at another (wish I could find that perfection in all categories).

Ordered a black equipment shirt with the shopbop 25% code. Not the most exciting thing to buy but it will be immensely useful!

Cranagh · 06/04/2016 18:56

That outfit sounds great, One, I love pink and navy.

Liking the sound of all the blazers, Shop, Kitty and Dry.

Lovely dresses, Bernice and Lara.

Are you still looking for trainers, Liberty? I was thinking you might like Hogan or Candice Cooper.

Thanks for posting that Outnet code the other day, Shop. I had ordered these Tory Burch ballet flats but they applied the discount for me after I'd ordered. Also bought a pair of Rag & Bone boyfriend jeans, which I love and were 40 euro on the EU website.

Monnier Freres have a good sale on. I've ordered this grey AH maxi zip satchel, which I already have and love in red. Selling two MBMJ bags to make up!

shopafrolic · 06/04/2016 20:20

Lovely bag Cranagh I haven't used my orange one as the colour feels off. Would love it in red. Glad you made use of the discount.
