How much makeup do you wear?

MarvinGorilla · 17/03/2016 11:54

On a daily basis I mean.

Personally I wear a wee bit of foundation (got acne scarring and red spots), a tiny bit of concealer on any dark areas, powder, pink blush and eyebrow pencil. I am off mascara at the mo as I've got an eye infection but I'm not missing it, I like looking natural.

So tell me, how much do you wear?

I don't. Wish I could get the hang (to create some shape to my sagging, ancient faceSad).

CountessNatasha · 17/03/2016 15:11

Depends on sleep! (And whether I'm having a lazy day and want my face to breathe and I have brows and lashes tinted - mixed heritage so dark but I always think brows and lashes look more put together)

Good sleep - touché Eclat, brown eyeliner, mascara, blush

Bad sleep - foundation, concealer, TE, powder/bronzer, blush, brown eyeliner, mascara

Night out, as above but eyes (liquid line, smoky eye, lashes) or lips (have big lips so even a nude lipstick looks dressy on me)

mrsmortis · 17/03/2016 15:20

For work:
Primer (a pore minimizing one)
Concealer
Foundation
Powder
Blush
Eye liner (just a touch under the eye)
Mascara
Brow pencil
Lipstick

Takes about 5 mins. I have really dark circles around my eyes even on plenty of sleep (bad genetics) so mostly I'm minimizing that

at the weekend if I can be bothered:
Concealer
Lippy
Mascara

LondonHuffyPuffy · 17/03/2016 15:24

Loads, unless I am running late for work but even then I would still wear some
Today I applied the following in this order:
Primer
Colour correcting concealer for dark circles
Foundation
Normal concealer on a blemish
Eye primer
Eyebrow pencil
Eyebrow gel to tame the buggers
Touche eclat on brow bone
Eyeshadow
Eyeliner
Mascara primer
Mascara
Powder
Blusher

Took me about half an hour because I like to take my time, listen to the radio whilst I am doing it and generally wake up a bit!

stegosauruslady · 17/03/2016 15:54

Most days, just tinted lip balm.

Sometimes (either when I just fancy it or when going out) BB cream, concealer, mascara and lippy.

If you asked me about skin care though it would be a giant list, I'm obsessed.

Birdie85 · 17/03/2016 16:07

On a work day I just slap a bit of moisturiser on then a little nude eyeshadow, smudge of eyeliner and some mascara. Too tired/rushed to do any more! We had to have some photos taken last week so I put a little blusher and lipstick on and a load of people noticed and commented! Blush

On a weekend I'll spend longer and will actually use the stuff that I spend a load of money on yet never have time to use during the week. For a night out I'll add some definition to my eye brows and do a smoky eye etc. I like playing around with my make up so enjoy getting ready on a weekend! Smile

Auburn2000 · 17/03/2016 16:08

Every day:
Foundation on on my dark circles and rosacea.
Powder, tinted lip balm or gloss, and eyebrow pencil.
When I have more time:
Lipstick and lip liner.
Blusher.
If I'm not wearing glasses: Eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara.
I don't do primers, concealers, contouring, tinted moisturisers, or false eyelashes.

Shirkingfromhome · 17/03/2016 16:11

Bit of cc cream on t-zone / eye bags
Face powder
Blusher
Eyeshadow
Mascara

Takes me 5 mins tops.

If I have the time and I'm looking particularly piggy-eyed then I might wear eyeliner on my top lids too.

ForeverLivingMyArse · 17/03/2016 16:23

I contour, just with powders day to day (bronzer and highlighter) but use a cream pallete for a heavier more defined going out look.

HeyNonnyMaybe · 17/03/2016 16:23

My face looks like I've done a trolley dash through the MAC concession, all in an effort to look less tired/porcine/old.

primer
foundation
concealer
eye shadow type stuff that's a bit like a primer
mascara
tinted lip balm
eyebrows brushed but product free

FrustratedFrugal · 17/03/2016 16:29

My daily routine face:

BB cream
Blusher
Eye shadow (also on brows and as eye liner)
Lip gloss or lipstick

Lweji · 17/03/2016 16:29

Bellygirl · 17/03/2016 16:38

I wear the following daily (unless I am sick or something like that)
Primer
Foundation
Concealer (under eyes)
Blusher
Eyebrow pencil
Eyeliner
Mascara
Lip gloss
I feel very ugly and tired looking without all of this and it makes me feel like I can't do anything if I'm not wearing it...I think I have problems Hmm

1frenchfoodie · 17/03/2016 16:44

Sometimes coloured lip balm. Moisturiser with sunscreen when I remember.

OutToGetYou · 17/03/2016 16:46

Sunscreen every day, then for work BB cream and concealer with powder on top.

Not working - just the sunscreen.

Going out, as for work (no sunscreen if it's evening) plus mascara and sometimes a lipgloss.

Topseyt · 17/03/2016 16:47

None. Could never be arsed with it.

CleopatrasDaughter · 17/03/2016 16:50

Weekdays for work:

CC cream & concealer
Bronzer/blusher
Eyeliner & mascara
Lipliner and lipstick/gloss

Weekends I tend not to wear make-up unless going out somewhere special.

NKFell · 17/03/2016 17:15

For work:

Primer
Foundation mixed with moisturiser (I'm not a fan of BB/CC so tend to mix my own on back of hand but only takes seconds)
Concealer
Eyeliner
Mascara
Brow pencil (due to the natural absence of eyebrows!)
Lipstick

Then on a weekend much like the others, no makeup if I'm not going anywhere important or if I'll be seeing lots of people, all of the above!

Paulat2112 · 17/03/2016 17:35

concealer to cover my insanely dark circles (i look dead without it!)
eyebrows
blush

my days consist of school/nursery runs, walking dogs and looking after the house. That suits me :D

fresta · 17/03/2016 17:49

I wear foundation, concealer under my eyes and any spots, then I powder, and apply a slight dusting of bronzer around the edge to slim my face and a barely there amount of blush. Natural eyeshadow over whole lid and line with a taupe shadow. Then mascara and a slick of neutral lipstick.

RiceCrispieTreats · 17/03/2016 17:51

Only eyebrow pencil, as mine are near-invisible.

Other than that, I don't know what half the things listed in this thread even ARE.

bananafish · 17/03/2016 17:56

Nothing, if I can get away with it. I really don't like the feel of make up. I stick on some concealer and a coat of mascara/eyeliner and lippy if I have an important meeting with external clients, but otherwise, nowt.

Luckily, I have pretty even skin tone, and thick lashes, so it is not so noticeable.

Forgetmenotblue · 17/03/2016 17:56

Moisturiser. Powder. Nude lippy.

Hardly anyone I work with wears any make up. We had a visiting colleague last week who wore the whole shebang and it seemed totally over the top, and very obvious, though I think she thought it was 'natural' looking.

We're all in our 50s though and none of us give any fucks whatsoever about what people think which is a mighty relief these days. I used to do full slap when I was younger.

Katarzyna79 · 17/03/2016 18:19

nothing most days just my stupidly priced moisturiser.

if I go outside which is rare, then tinted moisturiser but not always depends where i'm going.

I'm comfortable with my own skin, I don't care about the odd blemish, uneven skin tones, facial hair as logn as theres no full on tom selleck mush, tis all natural I don't feel the need to hide it. I think ive got good skin even if others may not their opinion matters not.

Katarzyna79 · 17/03/2016 18:21

I don't know what contouring is, guess ive finally gone old?
