How much makeup do you wear?

MarvinGorilla · 17/03/2016 11:54

On a daily basis I mean.

Personally I wear a wee bit of foundation (got acne scarring and red spots), a tiny bit of concealer on any dark areas, powder, pink blush and eyebrow pencil. I am off mascara at the mo as I've got an eye infection but I'm not missing it, I like looking natural.

So tell me, how much do you wear?

OP posts:
Obs2016 · 17/03/2016 12:34

foundation mousse
powder
swipe of eyeshadow
lipsalve

DelphiniumBlue · 17/03/2016 12:36

Gaggiagirl, what is the difference between waterlining and tightlining? And do either of them stay in place without smudging?
To answer OP, I normally wear eyebrow pencil, eyeliner pencil, a little foundation or tinted moisturizer, and lippy. I have eyelashes tinted as don't like the feel of mascara.

MyBreadIsEggy · 17/03/2016 12:37

Bare Minerals foundation, eyebrow powder/wax palette, liquid eyeliner, mascara - that's if I'm leaving the house for more than just a quick trip out for some milk.
Other than that, I don't bother anymore!!

ButterIsAngelSpunk · 17/03/2016 12:40

Wish we could see photos to go with the descriptions!

Wish I didn't have to wear any but I've always suffered with bad skin, have blemishes and dark circles under my eyes, so I use
Concealer
Foundation
Blusher
Powder
Gel/liquid eyeliner
Pencil eyeliner
Mascara
And some lipstick/lipgloss for special occasions

StarUtopia · 17/03/2016 12:44

Presently, none. And I'm more than happy to leave the house like this.

Think this stems from years of having awful acne and having to plaster my face in make up just so that I could leave the house.

I now have healthy skin and it feels amazing to let it breathe and not look like the monster from Frankenstein!

I will on occasion whack on a little lipgloss. Never worn eye make up, got long lashes which are naturally dark.

I don't think I look any different with make up on, so what's the point?

gaggiagirl · 17/03/2016 12:45

Delphinium not much difference really. Lower waterline I use a peachy nude pencil. Upper waterline I use black pencil, then go in again to tight line between the upper lashes with black gel. Maybelline do a fantastic one and the brush is great for pushing the colour between lashes. The liners really dont smudge. However if I use black on my lower lash line that inevitably spreads all over my face and makes my eye make up look like its been pissed on after 30 mins Grin

Lottie2611 · 17/03/2016 12:52

Primer, foundation, Bobby brown eye corrector and then highlighter. Brow pencil. Eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner on eyelid and pencil below. Mascara. Bronzer , highlighter (contoured) and lipstick. False eyelashes on more special occasions.
Ok reading that back maybe I should lay off the Make up Blush

StylishDuck · 17/03/2016 12:59

Daytime - BB cream, cream blusher, quick dusting of powder and clear mascara

Going out - primer, foundation, concealer, cream blusher, powder, powder blusher, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick/gloss

Very different! Grin

badg3r · 17/03/2016 13:10

SPF moisturiser and a bit of concealer if I have a spot... Although I would look much better if I made a bit more effort!!

nearlyovertherainbow · 17/03/2016 13:27

Foundation, concealer, mascara (after curling lashes) eyeliner, lip balm, lip liner, and lipstick. For evenings out, I'll wear more mascara and maybe eye shadow, but I don't like looking caked....although I probably am Hmm

flowery · 17/03/2016 13:31

Concealer
Foundation
Eyeliner
Eyeshadow
Mascara
Tinted lip balm or similar

littlepooch · 17/03/2016 13:40

Light foundation
Concealer
Light reflecting powder
Blusher
Neutral eyeshadow
Sometimes a tiny bit of liquid liner
Mascara
Either lipgloss, lipstick or a lip liner all over lips. Again neutral colour.

It sounds a lot but having a small baby means I can do all the above in about 8 minutes.

If I'm going out in the evening I wear the above except I add a smokier eye, slightly fuller coverage foundation and a highlighter. If I don't do a smoky eye then I like a bold lip :)

nipersvest · 17/03/2016 13:44

no make up. i tint my eyebrows and eyelashes once every 4-6 weeks as they are both quite fair, but i don't wear make up at all, not even if going out.

hollinhurst84 · 17/03/2016 13:44

The lot
Foundation, concealer, powder, highlight, blush
Probably 3-5 eyeshadows, gel liner, pencil liner, mascara
Eyebrow pencil and gel
Gloss or lipstick

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 17/03/2016 13:55

Every day I wear:

Primer
CC Cream or foundation
Concealer
Powder
Eyeshadow, Eyeliner & Mascara
A tiny bit of blusher

I am another who has gotten applying makeup down to around 7 minutes.

I want to relearn my makeup application though (and ensure I am wearing the right colours) because I look a bit wrecked at the moment.

Emmiy · 17/03/2016 13:55

Homemade shea butter moisturiser, mascara, eye concealer, blusher, lipgloss

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 17/03/2016 14:23

ELDW
Blended nude eyeshadows
Eyebrow pencil
Nude pencil in waterline to hide knackered red rims
Mascara
Bronzer (teeny bit so I look less corpse more alive)
Blusher with a teeny but of lluminator
Maybelline 24 hr lipstick - Taupe
Cornsilk Powder

slebmum1 · 17/03/2016 14:27

Bb cream and sometimes mascara if I'm not working if I'm working I add eyeshadow and lip stain. If I'm going out out blusher and eyeliner as well.

SayAGreatBigThankyou · 17/03/2016 14:30

Bourjois CC cream
Max Factor blusher
Urban decay eye shadow
Maybelline mascara
Lipstick or gloss - NYX Cannes my current favourite, but still looking for the HG.

Sometimes highlighter for some added sparkle. Replace CC cream for revlon primer and foundation if going out.

It all just makes me look like I did 10 years ago when I wore no make up!!

InQuiteAPickle · 17/03/2016 14:31

Gosh, loads! Grin

Foundation
Concealer
Translucent powder
Bit of bronzer
Blusher
Eyebrow defining mascara
Mascara
Lip balm

That's for normal day to day.

When I go on nights out I lay it on with a trowel a bit thicker and wear eyeshadow and eyeliner. I don't really wear eyeshadow and eyeliner during the day.

SayAGreatBigThankyou · 17/03/2016 14:31

whoops, forgot, nude eyeliner too

TenWineBottles · 17/03/2016 14:32

Absolute minimum is eyebrow pencil as i plucked my to buggery as a teen and a slick of vaseline on my lips.

Other days i use tinted moisturiser, eyeliner and mascara too. Full works is only a few times a year for special occasions.

I'm lucky that i have good skin, rarely got spots and the tinted moisturiser just helps even the tone out a bit.

TenWineBottles · 17/03/2016 14:32

*mine

Carpaccio · 17/03/2016 14:34

Depends on my mood and what I'm doing. Sometimes I wear no makeup at all, other times I wear loads.

Today I'm wearing:

Clinique City Block SPF40 mixed with some illuminating stuff and coverFX custom cover drops so it's like a sheer foundation.
Blusher
Lipbalm (but might put some colour on top later)
Mascara
2 eyeshadows (a nude and a darker one, both metallic)
Highlighter

InQuiteAPickle · 17/03/2016 14:34

Do people contour? I've tried from watching YouTube tutorials but I can't do it. I just end up looking like a have a five o'clock shadow Hmm.
