These could cheer up a dreary night Grin

Drywhitethanks · 17/02/2016 20:12

dress ....LOVE, colours, fit are perfect. Have since 'found' a few occasions I can wear it to. Stokey March wedding sorted but a bit anxious someone else will be wearing it.

Then........

Karcheer · 17/02/2016 20:12

Lovely.

Drywhitethanks · 17/02/2016 20:17

shoes fell in love with these in January, have wanted burgundy patent loafer type for ages, will do for work with ankle grazers, and with Skinnies on weekend. Love them.

Drywhitethanks · 17/02/2016 20:27

But I really wanted to buy these fab on.

I think Office shoes for the price are generally good quality, and mostly leather lined too. Office and Dune are great high St brands IMO.

Finally......I'm going to have a moan:

Fitting Rooms....bloody hell Shock total pits. Dust balls and hair on the floor, yuck!
Tatty curtains that don't close properly.
Not enough hooks.
SAs who screw stuff up in a bag I spent £160ish on a dress that was thrown in the bag
SAs who with terrible stock knowledge and I didn't only go into Zara SA couldn't pronounce 'acetate'!
The shops were hardly heaving.

Blingy you are building an amazing collection of iconic handbags.

Right, I'll shut up now Smile

Karcheer · 17/02/2016 20:37

dry I was in a shop once and the SA said when she put my new thing in a bag "oh sorry I can't fold" and she litle squished it into a ball and threw it in the bag Shock

Karcheer · 17/02/2016 20:38

I love the suede heels.

Drywhitethanks · 17/02/2016 20:54

But she did screw it into a ball and then wrap it in tissue Hmm

shopafrolic · 17/02/2016 21:58

Love that tee Linus. love

Karcheer · 17/02/2016 22:02

No tissue...

QueenC · 18/02/2016 14:10

this cardigan came today but sadly has to go back. I tried it on in a bigger size at the weekend and loved it but in my true size its sadly a lot shorter and is too boxy for me.

Karcheer · 18/02/2016 18:03

I popped into John Lewis and got this I nearly didn't as I was wearing jeans and it looked dreadful with all the bumps and lumps of my jeans.
I can wear it with my pleather leggings as they are smooth and flat fronted, but any ideas what else would work?

MarshaBrady · 18/02/2016 21:19

big wave to Justa I could do with some Spring clothes / weather too. Feel a bit sorry that a blossom tree in the garden has flowers so early, and others don't, all alone.

Linus love that t

Dry great links, I find Zara tricky in store, looks really good online usually though

QueenC shame about the cardi, would be good a bit longer

Karcheer do you ever tuck into jeans, I do!

No fashion news, although will be going in to town this weekend for stuff for HK.

Karcheer · 18/02/2016 21:26

marsha I'm carrying a bit of extra flab at the mo, so can't fit anything else in tbh.
I still need new jeans Blush

libertydoddle · 18/02/2016 21:44

Love that dress and loafers dry. I hear you on changing rooms. The dust / hair really irritate me.

No fashion news. I packed very minimally for this holiday which has worked well but I should have packed an extra dress for nights out.

Drywhitethanks · 18/02/2016 22:02

OOTD:
new burgundy patent loafers
Jimmies, turned up to ankle skinning length
Camel MD coat
Blanket scarf from Zara last year, plaid with burgundy, forest green, camel
Fossil chocolate cross body bag
Felt great but my feet FROZE Sad

OP posts:
Karcheer · 19/02/2016 07:58

Ootd
Tan uniqlo heatherm top thing
Gold ish colour roll neck from précis petite that my mum got me last Christmas
Very old dark blue straight leg! Ri jeans that I've not worn for 6 years as I've no normal jeans clean (only having two pairs if wearable jeans has now hit crisis point).
I'm so sad about how I'm looking right now.
Yesterday in the changing rooms I looked in the mirror and saw a sad tired scruffy middle aged woman looking back at me, my hair had somehow gone fuzzy, my make up had fallen off. I literally wanted to cry.
I'm not bragging but I used to be quite pretty and stylish :(

Sorry for being over indulgent and me, me, me :(

Drywhitethanks · 19/02/2016 09:06

Karcheer whenever I feel abit like you're feeling I have a bubble bath, paint my nails, blow dry my hair, find a mirror with better lighting don't go anywhere near my hideous magnifying mirror from hell and put on an outfit I feel great in.
I'm 3-4 lb heavier than I should be...I've blitzed the gym this week and am planning to have a strict Dukan week while DD is away on a school trip next week. But I have always thought that if you put yourself together nicely people don't notice a few extra pounds, they're to busy admiring the vision of chic loveliness before them Grin
Occasionally I am Shock at my age, not awfully keen on the lines or nasty, crazy grey hairs but then I look around and think I'm not too bad for my 'time of life' Smile
You always sound beautifully put together and very chic, don't be so hard on yourself Smile

Drywhitethanks · 19/02/2016 09:10

And.....back on my changing room soap bow.......the lighting and mirrors I swear are made to make you look awful.

Actually.....the changing rooms in Vicyptoria's secrets yesterday were lovely bit garish but nice big bench to lounge on, great lighting, big, clean, and a door bell to get assistance. I felt like having a little snooze while DD was trying on.
Also.....Top Shop.....nice decor, clean floor, great curtains in, fairly roomy.

karcheer wise words there from dry. We all have bad days. It does sound like you need to do some TLC. Hope you feel better about yourself soon Flowers

Karcheer · 19/02/2016 10:44

Thanks guys. I'm probably just feeling sorry for myself. Dh is working all the time not seen him since the w/e even though he's in the uk this week, we are on month 5 of the extension, I've had to visit my mil in hospital (which is a three hr round trip) every day this week as my bil/sil are away, I've put on weight, not eating properly, spotty, got my period! Urgh! Woe is me!

QueenC · 19/02/2016 12:21

Ootd is skinny jeans, navy blouse, purple cardi. One of my favourite outfits. Simple but me.
karcheer we all have days like that. Tbh you haven't sounded happy with your clothes/style since having your colours and style done. It should make things easier for you but just seems to have stressed you out.

Karcheer · 19/02/2016 12:29

queenc I don't think I've been really happy with the way I look since then nor since I have up working.
I really struggle with casual. And I miss black :(
Sometimes I really feel like my colours just don't suit me. A wear browns and greens and they are so drab.
Anyway just arrived at the hospital so need to go in now.
Btw, straight leg jeans look so much better with ankle boots than skinnies do.

Karcheer · 19/02/2016 12:30

Have - gave

justasecond · 19/02/2016 14:37

Flowers for karcheer I have been feeling a bit like that recently. With dh away I have stopped exercising and have also been on antibiotics which have made me bloated so am carrying a bit extra weight which as usual is on my face.I feel like my face looks my age and is sagging. I have stopped double cleansing which means my skin is crap.

I think you should ignore the colours diagnosis and wear stuff you love. Also they do get it wrong sometimes. I like neutrals but they can get boring after a while. Your going out outfits always sound gorgeous btw.
How exciting re HK marsha! look forward to seeing what you buy
Great shopping dry

dh is finally back today, can't wait!
