Man what is going on with this thread? You all parenting or something Hmm

Off out with DH for the evening wearing black Bardot crop top, high waist mid blue skinnies, leopard SE Karens and black rockstud bag. And a coat, obvs.

QueenC · 19/02/2016 18:56

karcheer I agree with justa and maybe just wear what you want. You've never felt the love for autumn colours and if you miss black just wear it. Or maybe like shop you've been misdiagnosed and are actually something else. Honestly, you'll look far better in black if you feel happy and confident than in one of your 'wow' colours if you hate it. And I struggle to see how you can be a natural if you struggle with casual. Giving up work does present challenges if you've been used to wearing smart stuff but even blingy has managed it (she'll tell you have she struggled with casual). Maybe just go with your instincts for a bit and but something you love and feel happy with Flowers.
amber ive been busy with work/pta stuff/ill children. Have fun tonight. I'm out tomorrow with Dh and I can't wait!

GypsyFl0ss · 19/02/2016 19:16

Oh shit

GypsyFl0ss · 19/02/2016 19:16

Oops wrong thread .sorry!

MarshaBrady · 19/02/2016 19:55

I'm here!

Karcheer big squeeze from me, take it easy, do some nice stuff. I bet you look good and not at all how you feel, but it's what you feel on the inside that counts so I hope you feel much more you soon.

Justa I'm pretty sure I've seen pics of you looking gorgeous! Not like your description at all

Amber have fun

Back in a mo, bedtime

MarshaBrady · 19/02/2016 20:25

On Pin I think! think I'm remembering correctly

shopafrolic · 19/02/2016 22:17

So quiet on here at the mo. Sorry to all who are feeling grotty.
Karcheer go with your gut on your colours. Think about the things historically you felt best in, find the common theme of colours, and if it doesn't match your diagnosis then get them redone. I am so much happier now I know they are correct. I felt like I was living a lie as an Autumn.
Early dinner out with DH and DS at our favourite local sourced, organic restaurant. Fab food, DS was fun company. He's super chatty now, much more confident, told the waitress she was "lovely and kind". Made me :)
I have bought some new earrings, a thread of 3 tiny stars to wear in my second piercing on my left ear. I haven't worn anything there for years and had assumed it had closed up but all good.
Am reading At Liberty - Ed Burstell. Have you read it Marsha? He's a bit all over the place as a writer but fun nonetheless. Have also ordered the next Kondo book - Spark Joy, after seeing it on The Frugality.
I need to check the diary and figure out when to head to Town for the Vogue exhibition.......

shopafrolic · 19/02/2016 22:31

Oh and Justa double cleansing is brill but I really know about it now if I miss even one day. I looked in the mirror today and realised the left side of my face is lower than my right. Eyebrow is lower, lip is lower, chin. Rubbish.

Karcheer · 19/02/2016 22:44

shop I'm going on Monday (think... Need to double check that was the day my friend booked).

Karcheer · 19/02/2016 22:45

shop I should get back into double cleansing, it really is brilliant.

AmberNectarine · 19/02/2016 22:47

shop if you need a date for the vogue exhibition I'd love to go!

shopafrolic · 19/02/2016 23:14

Sounds good amber will let you know what I can do Smile

libertydoddle · 20/02/2016 03:35

My OOTD, red Levi dress, R&B tan flat sandals, sunnies, rose gold skagen watch, kakhi and gold woven leather bracelet.

Dreamqueen · 20/02/2016 06:50

Forgive my ignorance but how do you know your colours & seasons? i've seen them mentioned but i've no idea what that means!

QueenC · 20/02/2016 08:04

Morning all. dream having your colours done is going to a session and being draped with different coloured scarves. House of colour puts you into seasons-winter or summer (cool seasons) or autumn or spring (warm seasons). I think colour me beautiful categorises you a bit differently but the principles are the same. Some people swear by it, others don't. You an find loads of stuff on pin or Google.

Dreamqueen · 20/02/2016 08:05

Thanks QueenC off to google it now.

QueenC · 20/02/2016 08:07

my new sandals. Perfect for walking up the strip in!

KittyHello · 20/02/2016 08:40

Lovely sandals Queen

Karcheer I can only echo what the others have said, the things you link and buy are lovely so I can't imagine you don't look great. Do you feel restricted by your colours? Once being diagnosed is it hard to ignore their advice? Just wear what makes you feel great, whatever the colours.

Lib I'm jealous that you're not wearing a coat, boots, opaques etc Grin

Shop didn't realise there was another Kondo book out, still haven't finished the first one yet!

Been a bit quiet on here due to half term activities. Am now willing spring to quickly arrive as I'm starting to get bored now of my skinnies/Pistols/Tippis uniform. I want to break out the SS clothes and wear colour.

QueenC · 20/02/2016 09:04

I'm going shopping today with dm which im really excited about as we hardly ever have any time just the two of us. This will be my last splurge before saving money for my holiday. I'm really after a nice cardi that I can wear in the evenings as I think the temperature will dip and also I tend to get chilly in AC. I need to replace my cobalt Cardi too as its beginning to look very sorry for itself. I could also do with a couple of tops for daytime but just want cheap as will need to wear sun cream which I find always ruins things. Next are normally good for these but they don't seem to have any in yet.

Drywhitethanks · 20/02/2016 09:52

Feeling somewhat delicate this morning.
I have been persuaded to go for a run...5k......I really don't do outdoor exercise Hmm but am determined to shift a couple of pounds (then a bidy Max class after....crazy?)
And I have friends for dinner tonight.
It could all be rather messy Hmm

Hello all - haven't caught up fully as have been on half-term.

Jeans arrived QueenC Flowers. They're a little bit on the snug side but nothing that can't be cured by a week off cake and on shred - everything just falls apart here during the hols! Very exciting buying summer stuff - I always find H&M good for cheap tops - they do quite a bit of real cotton these days.

Popped in to the V&A in the week and saw the shoe exhibition from a distance, sadly the dds weren't going to stand for it. I do recommend the V&A generally as a great museum to go with dc though, a tenth of the people at NHM or Science museum and lovely activities.

Great dress Dry, can really picture you in it. I think I may make do with something I have or borrow from a friend. The wedding is a bit of a hassle to be honest, it's in surburban London (opposite side to us), no kids and on Good Friday. We're going away on Saturday so have to dump the dc somewhere for the day and then collect them post-wedding.

Got my Selfish Mother sweatshirt in XS and wore it yesterday, compliments in the playground. How did you find the sizing Amber? XS was a still a bit big for me, so thought it must be huge on you.

Hope you feel better Karcheer, we do all have weeks of feeling a bit unattractive but just wear whatever makes you feel your best. I'd definitely consider either contacting your HoC consultant or HoC themselves if you've lost confidence in her diagnosis.

Not working is hard with regards to your wardrobe as you do end up wearing the same thing all the time. I struggle with it & I definitely am some sort of casual style wise.

shopafrolic · 20/02/2016 10:16

Just made banana pancakes - am feeling like a domestic goddess wafting round my new kitchen in dodgy old slippers and tatty dressing gown Must do something about my loungewear situation. What's everyone up to today?

Longislandicetee · 20/02/2016 10:49

I love those sandals QueenC.

Shop, the dcs love banana pancakes.Smile it's their Friday morning breakfast and their favourite one.

Am very excited. I am going into town later for lunch with two of my girlies. They're still young and hip. The sinusitis is lingering and has kind of flared up this week so wasn't sure about doing but dh is practically shoving me out of the door. I have just remembered he's at Twickenham next week and it's a preemptive strike.Hmm

OOTD very very casual. Me & Em long tee (black), over which I am wearing oatmeal white company cashmere sweater. Blue gap long and lean jeans (slightly flared jeans). Underwear is a deep rose coloured panache set. When I go out I will chuck on blue converse, black wool coat and take Roxanne.Grin bling is not very blingy - Espirit mans watch with brown leather straps, red Givenchy leather bracelet, a "Carrie/SATC" type silver necklace that says my name and aquamarine and diamond ring.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/02/2016 10:53

hi all, i've been quiet as my hand is still not right so still strugglign to type much.

in fashion news, i bought a pair of burgundy kitten heel brogues, they are very cute but need breaking in as the leather is very stiff and i also got a denim dungaree dress which i love and will be wearing in summer with converse but for the time being i;'ll wear it with long sleeve tees and tights and boots

in happy news, i won a perfume competion from 4160 Tuesdays so i'm very happy with that, i didn't expect to win at all so it was a nice end tot he day yesterday Smile

hope everyone is well

Dreamqueen · 20/02/2016 11:54

Slightly hungover here! drank a little too much wine at dinner last night but really liked wearing my Hush green laura dress. I got some great bargains in their sale & have decided to make the effoert & go to their next sample sale.

OOTD here is Topshop grey marl tracksuit bottoms with navy Uniqlo sweatshirt and emerald green Superga's.

Quiet day planned, not going anywhere or putting on amy makeup.
