As others have said, your ds is just reacting to what is going on around him and taking it out on you Shop. Try not to let it get you down as he doesn't mean it.

Love both the dress and blouse Blingy

We have a black tie cocktail party to go to next week and was wondering if I could wear something like this jumpsuit?. I only have 3 suitable dresses, one I don't like, another is better with bare legs in the summer and the last one is quite short so better with opaques.

shopafrolic · 15/03/2016 21:14

Your link reminded me to say that my fab splendid jumpsuit that I wore to Grand Cayman last year is on the Outnet. Highly recommend.

shopafrolic · 15/03/2016 21:14

That said - I can't actually open your jumpsuit linkFedup

QueenC · 15/03/2016 21:42

phew, so much to catch up on.
shop I didn't realise the clutch had fags and pills-did wonder why you went for something that seemed quite girly. Don't worry too much about ds. I got hit 4 times by dd today and she has no excuse except tiredness. It makes you feel really shit though especially when you've got other stuff going on.
stokey good luck although sounds like you don't really want it anyway?
one hope your migraine gets better. It's horrible lying in the dark.
Gah, can't remember what else ive just read so apologies to missing anyone out!

FedupNagging · 15/03/2016 21:50

Sorry for dodgy link, hopefully this will work
jumpsuit

libertydoddle · 15/03/2016 21:57

Mara I struggle with the difference between those blue and green shades too. Hobbs describe this top as Teal and this coat as kingfisher blue Can anyone see the difference??? I have just put the two of them together to compare and the coat IRL looks a bit brighter. I then took out the HoC colour swatches and it doesn't have a colour called teal, only kingfisher. The little book they give you recommends wearing kingfisher with heliotrope, purple, peacock, forest green, dark olive green and apple jade.

Actually bring the scarf to the MU and I'll bring the colour swatches and the book and we can discuss it all over prosecco Grin

libertydoddle · 15/03/2016 22:00

Shop DD refused to speak to me and lashed out a few times when I arrived in NZ and she hadn't seen me for a few weeks. Changes and stress really unsettle them and they haven't developed the skills yet to cope at that age. It is horrible though Sad. Lots of hugs for you.

shopafrolic · 15/03/2016 22:05

Stokey meant to say I love the Ash Titans but the silver is a step too far for me

shopafrolic · 15/03/2016 22:06

Lib that must have been tough. When are they both home?

justasecond · 15/03/2016 22:30

Shop my ds was like that when dh was away. Totally out of character behaviour. I think he was just really sad about his dad not being there and couldn't express himself in any other way. Your ds will be fine.
The top and coat both look the same to me lib

libertydoddle · 15/03/2016 22:35

They are home on Thursday evening Shop, I can't wait.

AmberNectarine · 15/03/2016 22:37

Blair you have to get this

shopafrolic · 16/03/2016 08:11

Buy it Blair buy it.
Morning all. Ootd. Uniqlo trousers, Equipment black and white check fronted sweater and Stan's.
The Etre Cecile tee is absolutely perfect. this one Bright white and lovely blood red stripes. If anyone sees the sweatshirt anywhere in a Large please message me.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 16/03/2016 09:34

Lol at the Blair top.

Ooh Shop I really want something from Etre Cecile too, a sweatshirt I think. Will keep an eye out for you.

Just to add my two pence worth about DS - and you may have done this already - but if he is acting out and you say to him 'you are sad about granddad' or 'are you worried about granddad' - then it will tend to diffuse the situation as you are naming the emotions for him. Also explain what is happening to DF as much as possible, and obviously in a child friendly way.

Bet you can't wait Lib

So cold today, when is spring coming??

BerniceBobsHerHair · 16/03/2016 09:41

Oh QueenC were you asking about alternatives to lipgloss? These <a class="break-all" href="http://www.marksandspencer.com/lip-glossy-lights-camera-action-2-5g/p/p22445250?image=SD_07_T22_5225_B0_X_EC_0&color=LIGHTS,CAMERA,ACTION&prevPage=plp&source=affwindow&extid=af_a_Uncategorised_136348_www.rewardStyle.com&comgp=136348" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Rosie at M&S lip glossies seem to be getting good reviews and a bit cheaper than the chubby sticks (worth waiting for a 20% off code)

libertydoddle · 16/03/2016 09:48

Great tip about naming emotions Bernice. I will try that out as I am expecting DD will be out of sorts for a few days when she gets back.

shopafrolic · 16/03/2016 10:00

Thanks Bernice really helpful. Will try that.

LinusLovesBretons · 16/03/2016 12:22

Saw this and thought of lara's black tie do.

I think it will look stunning IRL as you don't really see the detail in a picture. I think it is a dress for Tall People though. Wink

LinusLovesBretons · 16/03/2016 12:26

this is a bit out there but I do like it.

Something Cate Blanchett would wear.

LinusLovesBretons · 16/03/2016 12:27

another unconventional choice but I love the neckline.

LinusLovesBretons · 16/03/2016 12:30

gorgeous colour and very striking design.

Again, not to everyone's taste I'm sure.

QueenC · 16/03/2016 14:13

Love that second PP linus
Ive reached my target weight today so very happy Smile. It's the weight that I'm happiest at and that my clothes fit best at and what I was pre dc.

Ootd is black/navy jigsaw jumper, black cords, black boots. A bit dull really. I need some new blouses for work as im really bored of mine but can't find anything I like.

Larastheme · 16/03/2016 14:53

Didnt know there were cigarette buds amidst the flowers shop so mcq,

amber I used to wear soar as a lipstick!

great advice bernice*,

queen congrats! Although I never thought you need it , you always look slim

linus that is so freaky, Im in love with the Peter Piltto dress, the cream one, I think its perfect, and then I should it to dh and he killed it completely for me,

I have one in mind , but won't link yet, and surprisingly when I showed it to dh he said that he likes it and can see me in it,
Will recycle it again for a relative's wedding in July too, so it has to work both ways,

Did buy a jacket today and I'm so torn, I absloutely love it, but there is this other cardi/jacket that looks perfect too, but its cashmere andy the colour ivory! Not a great combo, but its the sort of timeless chanel cardi I've been after for a while, its probably sold out by now,

LinusLovesBretons · 16/03/2016 15:05

lara I actually saw that dress couple of days ago and immediately thought of you and then I thought :"nah, Lara's DH will hate it"

I still think you should try it on Wink

queenc well done! I keep putting on 1kg, losing it and then put it on again.

So frustrating! And I would like to lose another 2 kg for my ultimate target weight but I just can't seem to do it.

I only do 1 fast day a week anymore but I do try not to drink any alcohol four nights a week.

QueenC · 16/03/2016 16:27

Yeah, maintaining it is the problem! I was that weight prior to going on holiday last July but I pigged out for 2 weeks which is fine but I didn't really stop pigging out afterwards and then kept losing some and putting it back on.
lara it's not perfect as its cashmete and Ivory. Stick with the jacket and there will be another cardi in a better colourway next season.
