Karcheer sorry you are going through a tough time too - thinking about you and Shop

Some nice things for you Shop
T Shirt
Dress - can definitely see you in this Shop
Watch
Bracelet Lots of hipanema at The Dressing Room - all lovely.

Dry great pinafore but maybe a bit heavy for hot summer days - should we get any!

Good post from DMBL - and I have now placed an order for 4 dresses and one top using the code - thanks DMBL

Great shop Cranagh - Zara has some nice things atm.

Amazingly I had several comments on my outfit last night, not bad for a jeans and T combo!

Am off out with the hound now so ootd is skinnies, jumper and wellies.

LinusLovesBretons · 13/03/2016 09:27

Morning!

Love that Woolrich parka cranagh, especially the matte/waxy looking
fabric.

karcheer (((hugs))) for your MIL.

shop how is your DF doing this morning?

LinusLovesBretons · 13/03/2016 09:28

dry what would you wear that pinafore with? A tank top?

libertydoddle · 13/03/2016 10:05

I did a big post last night and lost it - so frustrating.

Shop Flowers hope everything is ok this morning. And Flowers for you too karcheer.

I think I may as well give up on the 10 item thing! I was supposed to spend yesterday with a friend but she was ill so we had to cancel. Then with time on my hands I went shopping! Was restrained - just bought this kakhi and cream breton in Jigsaw. I could have bought loads in Jigsaw, great stuff for those of us who suit autumn colours. I have pinned several items to watch for the sales.

I also bought Mio liquid yoga bath soak. There was a sample bottle of this in the M&S advent calendar and it's divine. I'm not really a bath person but I had baths 4 nights in a row using this stuff.

And the Hush code persuaded me to order this jumpsuit in olive. I fear I may look like a burly mechanic in it but I have been looking at it for ages so decided I need to try.

Cranagh those Zara jeans look great. I particularly like the navy ones. I was standing beside a woman on the Tube the other day wearing a Woolrich parka and they look amazing. So cosy and luxe.

Dry I agree with others that the pinafore will be too heavy in the heat.

shopafrolic · 13/03/2016 10:18

Morning all - loved the links Thanks
Cranagh love the R&B jeans. Tempting but I must not misery shop as I have no idea how much £££ I have - i have a lot of returns being processed.
Nice dress Fedup although then I read the text and it implies top and skirt and says something about skin revealing which scared me :) I love those watches too.
DF has had a comfortable night, no change basically. Visiting hours start at 2pm so I am taking the afternoon shift and mum will go in the evening I think. It's just v tiring. Karcheer sorry to hear you're in a similar situation.
DS and I have had pancaked while DH has popped out for a bit. The sun is shining so I am going to sit on the bench in the garden with my coffee and get a little Vit D. Love to all and thanks for being wonderful as per.....

QueenC · 13/03/2016 11:59

Morning. Hugs to you all tha need them.
Haven't had a chance to open all links but lib glad you got that breton as I think I linked it the other week.
Feeling low today-tired (heavy period) and headache again. Dh out all morning and been ferrying dc around to various things. Wearing new jack wills pale lilac Cardi though to cheer me up. After paying full price for it a couple of weeks ago I sent it back to reorder as was half price in the sale!

shopafrolic · 13/03/2016 12:16

Cobalt blue for hospital today. Gap black skinnies, grey vest top and cobalt blue Hush top with Pistols. Have good days all x

maradesbois · 13/03/2016 14:18

Hello,

I'm on a long train journey on my own, bliss!

Flowers to you Karcheer, hope your dh is bearing up.

Shop glad your df had a stable night and that the sun is shining for you today. Saw that the cherry blossom was arriving on the trees this morning and thought positive thoughts for you. Xx

lib love hush jumpsuit, I would so wear that and am tempted but will see how you get on. Have never bought from hush.

So I was out for breakfast this morning with dh and casually remarked that a lady near us had a Chanel bag that I loved (large flap, calfskin, hers black with shw but I would get navy ghw) at which point dh seemed surprisingly engaged and said Chanel lambskin better, when I asked why he thought that he got all cagey so am thinking has he been researching gifts for my upcoming big birthday? Wink Smile.

Cranagh wow, so much new stuff. Fab. Can't open your Zara links for some reason but love the parka. Have worn my woolrich constantly this winter until the last couple of days when its been springlike.

Dry I missed your pinafore dress, can't picture you in one, would think more Stokey or Bernice.

I am after some non-skinny jeans. Wanted to ask opinions on C/E fling, think feelings are mixed? For those who have did you need to size down?

maradesbois · 13/03/2016 14:21

Dry just read back, didn't mean to sound brusque, just see that style as more casual/boho than you

justasecond · 13/03/2016 14:27

Flowers for your dmil karcheer I know how horrible it is and hope your df improves soon Shop
gi
Great shopping haul Cran love the Zara jackets and the gorgeous woolrich esp.

Ok, Justa's Bag Dilemma Of The Week. With Lara's advice of keeping one small bag and getting a bigger one ringing in my ears I made a rather rash purchase of a preloved medium marcie[[http://www.mytheresa.com/en-gb/marcie-medium-leather-shoulder-bag-541377.html?catref=category same as this]] As much as I love the small marcie it is just so small can barely fit in small wallet, phone and keys and maybe one lipstick. Even then I would prob have to take everything out to get the wallet in and out.
The bigger marcie is gorgeous but I wonder if it is too big? or am I just used to smaller bags now?. Also I wonder if the gold hardware on it is too bling for me? and has the larger size had its day now? The smaller one is lovely and I think now I should have just kept it and not bought the medium one which I can't return, only sell on. Help!
Any views gratefully received.

AmberNectarine · 13/03/2016 14:39

Urgh, hanging today - worth it though, had a great night with DH Smile

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 13/03/2016 16:41

to both S8hop and karcheer* thinking of you both Thanks

I don't see you in a pinafore dress either dry it just seems too casual for you but perhaps with the right accessories you could make it work

I'm very low at the minute, I've devolped yet another allergy, a more serious one this time as it affects my breathing and it's just hugely stressful as Im havign to throw so many things out. 9An allergy to coconut of all things and coconut products are found in almost all shampoos and coniditoners, shower gels, soaps etc so i'm having to sit reading the backs of everything and bagging up for disposal anything i now cant use. I have a huge abcsess on my elbow as well and its very painful and just a mess really so that's not helping as the antibiotics for it are giving me an upset stomach and generally makign me feel pretty ugh. Ah well, it could be worse so im listenign to a 90s mega mix tryign to just pick myself up a bit

love to all

Drywhitethanks · 13/03/2016 17:33

Right Justa here's what I think for what it's worth:
I would keep the medium Marcie I like gold hardware, is it you though? because, for me, it's a daytime style and the small just wouldn't work for day and defo too casual for evening.
The big Marcie is stunning but huge and heavy and that would put me off.
For a small bag id find a style that could do day and night Chanel, Gucci Disco etc, that size

Mara not brusque at all, I need honest advice. You're all right.....I'm really being swayed by the price aren't i?

I went into a jewellers today and tried a diamond necklace.....need to work on birthday list. Will bore you about necklace another time, but will need advice.

Mara exciting about bag and DH.......MrDry would NEVER spot a Chanel bag in a million years.......would have to be a very obvious VW bag for it to even get in his radar Grin

OP posts:
LinusLovesBretons · 13/03/2016 17:46

one that allergy sounds really horrible. As you say, coconut is found in so many products.

justa i like that bag but if it isn't love maybe you should sell it and use the proceeds to put towards a bag you really love.

mara exciting! Your DH sounds like mine, he always listens to what I like and buys it for me, even if sometimes it's years after I mentioned it.

lib that bath soak has been on my to purchase list for ages but I've never taken the plunge as I have to order it online and I like to smell it first.

Cranagh · 13/03/2016 20:01

Justa, that bag is gorgeous, it really depends if you like big bags or not. Did you keep the disco too? If so I'd keep the large Marcie.

I love the Woolrich, Mara, it was late in the year to buy it but I'll be all set next winter. Excuses, excuses. ;) Hope you get the Chanel. That would all go over Mr Cranagh's head! I have white C/E flings, I sized down.

Sorry you're not well, One. Flowers

FedupNagging · 13/03/2016 20:16

One your allergy sounds awful and the abscess too. I should imagine it will be very stressful for you until you get it under control - and work out every product you cant use.

Justa the medium marcie is a lovely bag and good for daytime use - it does look heavy though. The ghw isn't too in your face either love the tassell Dry is right, a more streamlined/structured bag would be better for evening.

Mara you have a very thoughtful dh - fingers crossed.

Shop I've been thinking about you today; how is df?

A friend passed away last weekend - she was only 52; am not looking forward to her funeral tomorrow morning.

Drywhitethanks · 13/03/2016 20:33

So sorry Fedup that's so young.

OP posts:
Larastheme · 13/03/2016 20:41

fedup so sorry to hear that Sad,

Gorgeous coat, cran, but I can't open the zara links,

shop hope DF is better this evening?

mara I have the fling in sugar , I sized down, 2 sizes! Also have them in a darker wash, love both, but Im even more in love with the ROW Ashland straight legs, hands down the best relaxed fit I've ever tried, and I've tried loads, the don't stretch ,don't go all baggy. Perfect
Exciting about chanel!

dry I too don't see you in pinafore, not your style I think,

jesta I like the medium marci and this dove colour is beautiful, and I like the GHW, its still going strong,
I remember you being tall? Like 5"7, the small one can look too small on you IYKWIM? But how do you feel about it? If the things you mentioned bother you then I agree that maybe relist and put the porceed towards a bag you really like,

justasecond · 13/03/2016 21:26

sorry to hear that fedup that's so young.

Flowers for one sounds awful, coconut is a difficult allergy.

Thanks for all the bag advice, as ever you have all been great! I did keep the disco too cran Blush so I think I will return the small marcie, as pretty as it is, its just too small and you are right Lara it looks a little small on me. I think I will keep the larger one and use it for a bit then if I still feel unsure about it sell it on.
Fingers crossed re chanel Mara how exciting. My dh wouldn't have a clue what a chanel bag looks like either!

Hope you df is doing ok shop

off to catch up on The Night Manager. Quite a lot of good stuff on tv atm for a change

Longislandicetee · 13/03/2016 21:41

Hi Justa, I have the medium Marcie. It's not massive at all. A good sized back, gorgeous leather and I kind of ignore the brassware. However it is soooo heavy. So I definitely try not to use it to cart my crab about. The other is that it's a day bag but probably for either casual or smart casual. I tried using it with smart dresses and it's too chunky to work. So as long as you know how you're going to use it, and know it's heavy, go for it.Smile

One, very sorry to hear about your new allergy. Thanks

This weekend, I have been trying to look for a couple of summer type clothes in cotton. That appears to be like trying to hunt for a needle in the haystack!

Karcheer · 13/03/2016 22:05

Oh fedup that's terrible :(

justasecond · 13/03/2016 22:05

Hi Blingy yes I will be using it for casual. Doesn't seem too heavy but then I haven't tried putting stuff in yet. I have a black marcie in a satchel style with a single top handle that I use for everyday in the winter which is quite lightweight so I assumed it would be the same.

what sort of things are you after for summer?
forgot to say lib love that breton and the hush jumpsuit Grin at burly mechanic!
Kitty love the collar on that jcrew shirt and the flats

shopafrolic · 13/03/2016 22:43

Fedup so sorry. Hope tomorrow is bearable.
DF is stable. He has a temp tonight so they have upped his antibiotics. I spoke to my GP friend tonight who has given me some advice. DM and I are meeting the consultant tomorrow at 9.30am so we'll see from there.

libertydoddle · 13/03/2016 23:10

Hope all goes as well as possible tomorrow fedup.
shop good that you are meeting the consultant. I am sure you know this but write down the questions you have and don't feel shy about asking silly questions. It is easy to forget what you wanted to know when you are stressed and most people need medical info repeated a few times before it sinks in.

justa sounds like a good plan to return the small Marcie.

Linus I can send you a sample of the bath soak if you like. The predominant smell is mint and citrus. It's a very uplifting, clean scent. I can't believe I have spent £26 on a bath soak but it is really nice.

Mara meant to say your dinner the other evening sounded fabulous. Sounds like your DH could be doing some research! What about your blue stone plan????
