Well, I've grabbed the bull by the horns & am leaping into the new thread........

Felt very sad no one else had started one whilst I scoffed dined.

If no one like the title I am more than happy to have it deleted & go with anything else.

DH has taken over the catering for the month of February......... the food is good but the angst is another matter Grin

Batemans would be lovely.

And there is Kipling's Indinan Adventure on BBC2 tonight at 21.15 - all about his early days in India.

I am loaded down with charity shoppe haul. I'm so classy, me.

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/02/2016 17:35

At wedding. There are over 100 people here and I am seated between the only two people in the room that I have shagged. One is DH. The other is not. Awkward is not the word.

Rosebag · 20/02/2016 17:37
Grin
magimedi · 20/02/2016 17:38

Does DH know about the other one?

Am sure you can cope, MrsS.

MrsSGrin You have shagged 2% of the people there. Given that maybe half are women, that is actually 4%Star

I went up west to get DS some new school shirts. I got my free cake and coffee in JL and some Clinique goodies Smile

BeachysFlipFlops · 20/02/2016 17:49

I bet some are children and vicars, so that might put the % up a bit too Smile

BeachysFlipFlops · 20/02/2016 17:50

I meant to say, what time are we aiming to meet up, as wouldn't mind working out trains etc....

Collymollypuff · 20/02/2016 17:53

Talk loudly about facial exercises MrsS.

Caminos KX is perfect for me, and I agree tis wise to book, BTM, very good of you to take that on.

bigTillyMint · 20/02/2016 17:54

I was going to try to book for 7pm, but maybe I should make it 6.30? If they have space - fingers crossed! Happy hour cocktails (241, and they were yummy!) are 4 - 6pm on the weekend - if we buy ahead, do you think we could last out till 6.45/7?

Collymollypuff · 20/02/2016 17:54

7pm, isn't it?

bigTillyMint · 20/02/2016 17:57

Oh poo! Just called them and they are having renovations done, or something and so not taking bookings in the restaurantSad

Plan B anyone?

CointreauVersial · 20/02/2016 18:10

Grin MrsS. Happened to me at a friend's wedding; XBF was friend's older brother, so there was no possibility that friend didn't know. I'm not quite sure what was going through his head when he did the seating plan. XBF had shiny new GF, who gave me daggers throughout the meal. DH didn't quite know where to put himself.

MI - what did you get? We have just returned from posh footballer's paradise, Cobham, where I also bagged a nice charity shop haul. A gorgeous evening top from M&S Autograph, a jumper from White Company (incorrectly marked as White Stuff), and a stripy jumper from the £1 rail. And DH picked up a very nice wheely suitcase.

In domestic news, the boiler is playing up. Angry I have reset it, and it seems to be going again, but I fear it will go off again the moment our backs are turned. Probably during the night, so we will be treated to cold showers in the morning.

Cremo · 20/02/2016 18:19

Ah sugar BTM,
What about another Camino's branch? EG Blackfriars? Or somewhere in the K+ / St Pancakes area? Hey what do I know? Goes off to study Overground and Thameslink connections in GL.Confused

Cremo · 20/02/2016 18:35

Would the Las Iguanas at The South Bank be recherché enough for our needs?
There is a gluten free menu, and tapas n' things

Lalsy · 20/02/2016 18:42

There's also a Caminos at Monument (so good for tubes), or that pub named after a tree or MrsS grill place with nice big cheap cocktails? There are loads of places in and around St P itself now, but I haven't tried any of them....

motherinferior · 20/02/2016 18:45

I got two (2, ii) very nice scarves, a pair of Gap jeans for DD1 who had requested them, some new candles and a pair of black French Connection jeans which still had the tags on them - they are flared and far too long but a bit of alteration will make them the narrow black ankle-length trousers I've been yearning for, and at £6 I can splash out on getting them to fit me in bespoke manner.

MrsS, at least it wasn't three (3, iii) people at a memorial service. Ahem. BlushBlushBlush

BeachysFlipFlops · 20/02/2016 19:14

How superb, MI, especially if it was actually at the memorial service? That would have cheered everyone up!

motherinferior · 20/02/2016 19:15

Sadly no, BeachyGrinGrinGrin

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/02/2016 19:35

Hmmm
There's Caravan behind Kings Cross - I've been there for brunch and dinner (on different occassions!) and it's ok... not v cheap. Otherwise a lot of the new places round the back of KC are a bit flash / expensive.

There's always Tas with various branches - good food and cheap

I was trying to think whether somewhere in Drummond Street round the back of Euston where there are loads of Southern Indian places might be good but fear most of them are a bit small for a group of nearly 20 (twenty! XX!) unless anyone knows different..

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/02/2016 19:36

The other one is my cousin. No-one else knows.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/02/2016 19:40

Didn't we go to the Bankside Caminos before and it was good?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/02/2016 19:42

No one other than you or cousin? No one other than you??! No one other than you, cousin, your dh!
Hope you're on the dance floor by now Mrs S...

Cremo · 20/02/2016 19:45

Are either Auriga or Monty or , ladies I haven't written here because I'm shattered, available for this Crepey Cavalcade?

NU , how are you feeling? ThanksHope the family have been bringing you soothing drinks and you did stay in bed today. ( am trying not to alert Sister, but she reads this you know,Grin)

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/02/2016 19:48
