Come and join in the festivities. All welcome, new and old. Just bring your sparkly links.

All so - also!

MarshaBrady · 15/12/2015 20:49

Evening voguettes.

Mara what a coat! Gorgeous

Lib how are you feeling?

Shop great dress

Blair you poor thing, that sounds tough. Oh no at missing the work party too. I really like the skirt, great buy and the scarf too

Linus I hope you feel better soon too.

Stokey impressive Grin what will you wear?

I have the work Christmas party tomorrow night. Now I'm worried the Marant dress is too short for a work one!

QueenC · 15/12/2015 20:50

linus sorry you've not been feeling well
kitty if you'll be gutted if it sells out just buy it now. If it gets reduced later you can always buy again and return the higher price one.
blair maybe you should go back on a staggered return? Even going back to work after 5 weeks off is knackering let alone when you've been unwell. Just do a month of 3 days giving yourself either a long weekend or Tuesday and Thursday off so that you only work one day at a time. Nice scarf btw.
shop I had been thinking about pink boots with it. Or the pink j crew heels.

MarshaBrady · 15/12/2015 20:55

Oh and Lib how did it go with the party entertainer?

libertydoddle · 15/12/2015 21:24

Didn't work Marsha too short notice, tried others too, same story. Not to worry, I have resigned myself to entertainment duty Smile. Feeling much better today thanks. Marant will be perfect for the Christmas work do - don't overthink it.

Lovely scarf Blair. My brother was 21 (ish) when he had GF.

Re knee high brown boots, would like a small heel, may 1.5 to 2 inches but flat would be fine too. I like those Dune ones Blair. I will RL shop for them rather than online though, doing boot returns is just a pain.

How annoying re the Boden dress Fedup.

Sorry you are not feeling great Linus. This time of year is a real drag though, if you are under par at all the lack of sunlight just seems to make it worse.

libertydoddle · 15/12/2015 21:57

ok some orders done

Camel Hobbs coat

All Saints dress - it says the colour is petrol - looks grey on my screen but fingers crossed

Awaits a flaming Grin not cool, but I am irresistibly drawn to it, have to try...

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/12/2015 22:10

Lib so glad I am not the only one getting into the pre-Christmas sale shopping! LOVE that coat, just hope it isn't too long for you, fingers crossed. The AS dress is really nice, if it's the colour I'm thinking of it will look great (my Autumn sister has a Warehouse dress that is "her" black, basically the darkest bluey-blacky-green you can imagine). The East dress has a lovely print, you may be surprised when you try it on! Agree you sometimes just have to try :)

QueenC I think I will mention the possibility to my GP when I see her next Monday. I have already had a bit of a snarky response from work when I was signed off this time, so would be nervous about the possibility of my sickness leave needing to continue. It doesn't help that my boss told me he had GF when he was a teenager (ie not when working full time in a professional job). I can't help but worry! I know I shouldn't yet though, it's ages away.

Marsha you will look great in the IM!

maradesbois · 15/12/2015 22:40

Evening,

Blair oh no, poor you. QueenC is right though, having a clear diagnosis will make it easier for you to handle time off etc with work. I prescribe comfy pjs (onesie if you must Wink), some nice cashmere socks, light a scented candle, get yourself comfy on the sofa, enjoy your Christmas tree and take the time to properly relax, watch films and read books. Take care of yourself. Xmas Smile Flowers Brew

Linus some of the above to you too but not so easy with dc. Hope you get your energy levels back soon. Take it easy x

Lib I missed that you were sick too, sorry, but glad all better. Day of Christmas crafts with dd sounds lovely. You've reminded me I kept my toilet roll nativity of last year, must dig it out! Am interested to know how you get on with camel coat, it looks really nice. I've tried loads of belted ones but they all looked terrible on me.

Karcheer oh no about your job but could be a blessing in disguise as think you were reflecting on what you really want to do re career/development etc and it may help you to focus.

Stokey Am sure you were very chic at christening. Dressing up for a night out sounds ott. You've got me thinking of first wives club now, love that film! Btw are you getting your windows reconditioned or replaced? Did you need listed building planning consent? Pm me if you don't want to say on here.

Betty buy it!!!

Marsha Your Marant dress is fab, Lib is right. Btw am sure have asked you this before but do your suede Rossis fit tts or did you go up half size? Have my eye on some reduced but don't want the faff of sending back.

Shop perfect dress for you.

I've no fashion news apart from above potential shoe purchase. Feeling fat and sluggish as no time to exercise the past few weeks. Have also been abnormally craving carbs and sugar, think am just exhausted and need a break. It sounds like we all do actually!

KittyHello · 15/12/2015 22:48

Great purchases Lib especially the AS dress.

Fedup shame about the dress, do you think it'll come back in stock

QueenC I may take you up on your advice, I'll check out their returns policy, see if I can hang onto it for as long as possible.

Karcheer I feel I'm destined to have this bag, so I'd better buy it. Obviously will link once I've bought it.

Blair I hope work/your boss doesn't stress you out for being ill, that's all you need Angry focus on getting yourself well and if they start getting a bit sniffy, keep a detailed log of what's been said.

Marsha IM sounds fabulous, I'm sure it will be fine.

Karcheer · 16/12/2015 06:58

kitty leave the bag for a couple of days and if it's still there, then, you are destined to have it ;)

Drywhitethanks · 16/12/2015 08:26

Karcheer so sorry about your job....and all that lovely kit you invested in, hope you'll still use it.
Liberty great haul, I like both dresses, love a bit of Arts and Craft (Mara?) print.
Blair really like the Dune block heeled knee boits you linked for Lib, I got rid of a lovely pair, in mint condition a few years ago Xmas Sad

Loved wearing my Jaeger leather pencil skirt last night. Wore it with the ASOS lace cropped blouse Fedup found me, opaques and shoe boots...... thought of you Blair DD ha so re eye on the top and a 17yr old commented on it too, always nice

MarshaBrady · 16/12/2015 08:34

Oh Karcheer that's rubbish Sad

Thanks re dress have got it and coat hanger to hang it at work

MarshaBrady · 16/12/2015 08:35

Mara yes I did. Go for it! Which colour?

MarshaBrady · 16/12/2015 08:36

Ah I mean yes I went up half a size

MarshaBrady · 16/12/2015 08:48

Lib love those - esp the camel coat and AllSaints, and reckon you can do the last one!

Stokey · 16/12/2015 09:44

Windows are being replaced mainly, although we have managed to save a couple of boxes Mara. House is Victorian but not listed, but we did go with a sash conservation company so they match to original but with double glazing. The ones they've done look great. I'm missing exercise too, don't feel I can shred in the living room with builders upstairs so no shower after - & I was just about to start level 3!

IM dress sounds great Marsha and love the AS dresses Lib & Shop. I like the tunic too Lib, hope it works.

So glad you've got a diagnosis Blair, although glandular fever is very debilitating. Perfect time of year to rest though if you can forget the festivities.

annoying about your dress Fedup, something else will come.

Sorry to hear about your job karcher, hope you find something else.

I think I'll wear feathery gilet & black suede mini to party on Saturday - still lacking a top though. DM wants to get the dds Indian outfits for Christmas so I am off lengha shopping today, should be lovely & sparkly!

BerniceBobsHerHairAgain · 16/12/2015 10:22

Lib East is my guilty secret...

Stokey we have had sash replacements done with double glazing added. Good for the property but £££. You can also add secondary glazing into an existing sash but also £. My DH is very interested in such things.

Blair glad to hear they know what it is, hope you can rest up and relax now.

Sorry too much to catch up on! Waves to all.

LinusLovesBretons · 16/12/2015 18:43

Evening!

I love that IM dress marsha and I've looked for it in shops in several countries but no luck.

lib great purchases. That last dress is a bit special but could really work with your colouring and personal style.

karcheer I like that expression 'destiny game' Grin

Feeling really grotty as I have a sore throat and my periods have started. And I have been sleeping really badly lately, waking up and then being unable to fall back asleep for hours.

I think a pp was right, the end of the year means that energy levels are low for many people and then you're more susceptible to any bug that does the rounds.

AmberNectarine · 16/12/2015 18:47

Urgh... My liver is destroyed and I still have two boozy lunches, another party and my birthday to get through this week...

Still, to all the sick people who can't go out on the lash: I'm representing.

Tonight my plans are limited to sitting on the sofa and doing my nails.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/12/2015 19:00

I salute you Amber, taking one for the team Grin still, wish it was me! Not fair.

Thanks all for the good wishes, however I do just need to state categorically that mara I do not own a onesie! Xmas Grin My hush harem pants are getting a lot of wear though.

Drywhitethanks · 16/12/2015 22:04

I had my nails done today and I hate the colour outside the salon, a kind of sparkly purple, won't go with anything......my chridtmas will be RUINED Xmas Sad Xmas Grin this is obv a big problem.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/12/2015 22:18

it's me with all the onesies

LinusLovesBretons · 17/12/2015 00:09

I have two onesies one

Grin
AmberNectarine · 17/12/2015 08:09

I've done mine nude and am already bored with them dry.

Girding my loins for another day of overindulgence. Wearing Boden luxe lace top (their name not mine), very fitted black zip back pencil skirt and j crew ghillie heels. Bit Sicilian widow but I've done red and sparkles already this week!

Drywhitethanks · 17/12/2015 08:18

How did in miss that top Amber it's lovely but sold out Xmas Sad

My Grecian Godess outfit for NY has arrived. Looks like a 1970s granny nylon nightie Xmas Sad . Hope it looks better on the night.

Big night tonight too......not sure of outfit but Sicilian widow sounds good
