Oh and on the subject of turtlenecks I was told I could wear them too so agree long torso and neck helps (E or F cup here)

libertydoddle · 06/01/2016 11:56

Poor you one SadFlowers

My OOTD is boden flared black knee length skirt, Tobacco colour fine knit Gap merino crew neck tucked in, tan Hobbs belt with a little cat design on front, black opaques, leopard print Elia B loafers, trench coat (hard colour to describe - matches rosewood in my HoC booklet), navy pliage bag. Plain gold studs, rose gold skagen watch, gold bangle, gold necklace with Merano glass green and gold coloured heart shape pendant. Kakhi, beige and brown leopard print scarf with an orange stripe.

How mad is it to be out and about in just a trench coat in January?????

libertydoddle · 06/01/2016 11:59

Blair:great idea to do work OOTD (though I love hearing about the SAHP ones too Envy). Mine may get a little repetitive though as my work wardrobe is a bit barren ATM.

safetyzone · 06/01/2016 12:10

Stokey, I find it difficult to wear skinnies to cycle as they are a bit constrictive (or I'm wearing jeans too tight?). I can change trousers but I'm just being lazy Smile. My journey is only 3 miles, so never any need to shower. Skirts and tights usually work well.

Sorry about your cat one.

OOTD Muji long sleeve T shirt, warehouse V neck cashmere sweater on top, and Outlier cycling friendly trousers in khaki. First 2 items dug up from the depths of wardrobe, bought more than a decade ago.

So these jeans arrived, and they fit! I've not had a proper look at what they look like yet, will probably wear them tomorrow.

KittyHello · 06/01/2016 12:37

One Flowers for onecat

Blair fab - u - lous Burberry boots

Great jacket Karcheer also loved the sandals, will you buy them?

Blingy that's an odd thing for an SA to say about your wrists without seeing you Hmm

Amber hope you're quickly on the mend for the weekend Grin

OOTD black JCrew pixie pants, grey slouchy IDF Uniqlo grey sweatshirt, black Pistols, B Republic grey check scarf, black leather gloves and my new black G Darel cross body bag, I luffs it Grin only a school run day today.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 06/01/2016 12:57

thank you all Smile

my ootd is navy skinnies, black velvet dr marten 8 eyelet boots, white wonder woman tee and mid green ribbed boyfriend cardigan. very plain and comfortable

Stokey · 06/01/2016 13:23

So sorry about your poor cat One. Let me know what the 4160 scents are like - I love them but find they don't last very well on my skin. I bought a 9ml bottle of the Raw silk & red Roses in their Black Friday offer as I do love a rose, but find it fades within an hour.

The jeans look great safety, will be interested to know how they fit.

FF/G cup here and can't do polos at all - I think it is being short-waisted.

I really like those Sorel Carnival ones Fedup. I don't think I ever linked on here as I was going to send them back, but DH bought me a pair of North Face walking boots a few months ago. I took one look, and decided they weren't me but then thought I should try them on. I have never put my feet in something as warm and comfortable. Anyway I've kept them and worn them quite a bit on walks, and once to the pub with coated skinnies & furry gilet... it kind of worked!

OOTD dark green skinny cords, Woolovers burgundy crew neck jumper - I don't love this, I probably should have sent it back but kept it as it was cheap & wool - a pink & burgundy snood & black stans, it's cold!

KittyHello · 06/01/2016 13:40

Fedup forgot to say I really like the carnival boots, they look pretty similar to Marsha's I think.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/01/2016 14:01

Great OOTDs :) Lib I know what rosewood is, fab!

The expensive thread has turned into just people asking for tips and recommendations, like every other thread. It was fun while it lasted! I went to Waitrose just now and saw zero expensive looking people :(

AmberNectarine · 06/01/2016 14:12

OOTD is black uniqlo long oversized sweatshirt, tartan leggings and Jimmy choo biker boots. Comfy and crucially easy to put on!

VivaVegas · 06/01/2016 14:34

Sorry to hear about your cat One so awful when pets are ill.
I have Sorels and love them, bought them in the ASOS sale this time last year so worth a look there. I wear my normal size but they are quite generous and wide and as I have narrow feet I have to wear thick socks with them.
Have been in bed with the flu for 3 days, feel truly shite, so pjs, socks and dressing gown here!

FedupNagging · 06/01/2016 14:44

I didn't realise Marsha had a pair of sorel boots - Marsha what are they like?

Have just ordered this so hopefully the hunters will live for a little longer. A friend suggested it - wellie glue, who knew? still fancy another pair of furry boots though

The north face boots look ok Stokey

Ootd is Boden black ankle zip skinnies, Jcrew black sheer sleeve s/shirt, giant pink and purple paisley scarf and pettys. Oh, and bright pink lipstick.

Am off to my local boutique-y clothes shop in a minute and am hoping to pick up a couple of pairs of indie & Cold skinnies and a rummage through the sales rail can only usually afford her clothes in the sale. She usually has a good selection of Hudson's so will see what I can find.

MarshaBrady · 06/01/2016 15:00

Fedup they're really handy on the weekends if I'm going somewhere outside. Especially when it gets really cold.

MarshaBrady · 06/01/2016 15:05

Mine are like the Carnival ones, I like those ones best

LinusLovesBretons · 06/01/2016 15:23

We used to do OOTD more often ages ago but got out of the habit.

Mine is MiH straight leg jeans, white Brooks Brothers Miracle shirt (seriously good shirts, I've got DH hooked on them as well) and navy A.P.C. Merino jumper with my Tod's Chelsea boots when I go outside.

Very classic but the expensive thread reminded me to smarten up a bit. Grin

I have ordered some Rag and Bone skinnies in the MyTheresa sale shop so I can let you know what they are like.

I was badly in need of new skinnies as my TS Leighs are looking a bit tatty and the M&S jeggings only come in one wash I like.

I also ordered the smallest size in the VB Athé dress I had to return to MyTheresa as the size I ordered was too big.

But I found it on Asos yesterday, also on sale but slightly more expensive than on MT but not much. I hope this size is ok as I just love that dress.

LinusLovesBretons · 06/01/2016 16:12

Just had a look at the preview of the new Ines de la Fressange collection for Uniqlo.

Looks very preppy but has some good basics but the colours look too warm toned for me.

Uniqlo opened a store in DPIL's town recently so now I can send DMIL on a shopping mission if I see anything I like, yay!

shopafrolic · 06/01/2016 16:24

I can see Lib in loads of the Ines stuff.
Viva get well soon

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/01/2016 17:20

Yes, Shop, I just went to look at the Ines stuff and the model even made me think of Lib Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/01/2016 17:21

Here I mean, with the beret... I haven't managed to find the new collection yet!! Confused

Longislandicetee · 06/01/2016 18:58

sorry to hear about onecat. Poor you Viva. I am also not well.Sad

Had to go to work again so I dressed down. Ootd was stripe Karen Millen dress, black jacket, long calf R&B boots and my new Burberry coat. Loved how chic the coat and boots looked together. My splash of colour was my salmon pink PS13. The Bling was full on...Tag diamond watch, Tiffany diamond cross, Tiffany diamond studs, Boodles raindance ring, and a very Blingy bracelet. I know I sound like a Christmas tree but it's more subtle than that delusionalGrin

libertydoddle · 06/01/2016 18:59

Flowers Blair. I wish!!!

Ines stuff does appeal to me but no joy with the last collection. Will check out the spring stuff later.

shopafrolic · 06/01/2016 19:09

I've just ordered the last Carine R faux fur jacket from Uniqlo. On my Pin. Not sure if it'll be too boxy but thought it would glam up the school run a bit Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/01/2016 19:23

Blingy wow, I am sure you looked VERY expensive Wink That coat is completely fabulous. I hope you feel better soon, it's rubbish to get ill right after going back to work - but understandable too.

Viva hope you feel better soon as well!

Massive disappointment on the Burberry boots. Apparently in the world of £600+ footwear, "shearling lined" means lined from the ankle upwards only Hmm. Because my ankles are always in contact with the cold ground, not the soles of my feet Hmm.

I don't think I want fur-lined Pistols so I'm going to consider other options, maybe even just shearling insoles.

shopafrolic · 06/01/2016 19:29

Get well soon Blingy I bet you looked stunning
Blair I have shearling insoles in my Pistols and they are good x

Karcheer · 06/01/2016 19:43

you could always get Uggs
