me coming to the MU is now dependant on what's going on with OneCat. I cant leave her with anyone else at the minute so i guess i just have to wait and see what happens

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/01/2016 13:28

Hello all, thanks for the boot appreciation! I feel a bit guilty over such a big purchase that isn't for work, but they were one of those things where it was instant love. I like that they are a bit smarter than normal bikers (fitted to the leg) which hopefully is a bit more me. I look rubbish when I go too casual, which is one of the reasons I'm loving the expensive thread!

shop enjoy your day with DH. I started rereading You Are What You Wear last night and thought of you because it's about fashion psychology. Have you read it?
Got a bit uncomfortable myself reading the first chapter about people who buy too much and why they do Hmm

One so sorry to hear about your poor cat, I hope they can do something to make her as comfortable as possible.

Karcheer I think those shoes are fab, and they look very expensive Wink

OOTD is full on J crew: Navy pencil skirt, pale grey Tippi tucked in, navy peacoat, opaques and R&B shoe boots, pearl studs, gold watch and bracelet.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/01/2016 13:28

X post One I really hope you can come!

Karcheer · 05/01/2016 17:47

When I click on links to Pinterest does my iPad open the ikea app :/

blair I want to look expensive! I just look embarrassing.

I had to change from track suit bots etc as I had a dentist appnt I'd forgotten about, so I changed to vb jeans, kept on t shirt and khaki j crew cardi, with brown block heel ankle boots from new look.

Karcheer · 05/01/2016 17:55

Right I really need your help ladies as I'm finding my day to day wardrobe depressing, my job had allowed me to slink about in leggings all day but now I'm not doing that I'm back struggling with my casual wardrobe.

I'm going to book and appointment with bravissimo to sort out my lack of bras (I've three that fit but are tired). So my foundations should be sorted.

When I was in New York I got this in the sales as well as an ivory one which I'll use in the winter for evening wear.
Anyway... What would you wear with the tan one? Obvs white trousers nap have styled it with aren't really practical :/

MarshaBrady · 05/01/2016 19:29

That's really nice Karcheer. I do like how they have it on NAP. But how about very pale blue jeans if not.

Meant to say great shopping Mara love the top.

Karcheer · 05/01/2016 20:20

marsha do you think it's more for summer then? Would you wear pale blue jeans now?

MarshaBrady · 05/01/2016 20:33

Early spring for sure. Pale blue jeans with a pale grey top maybe.

It's such a warm tan isn't it, so I searched on Nap to see what colours they matched with that type of colour most often.

It looks like white / black or a pale grey is most common.

LinusLovesBretons · 05/01/2016 20:53

That is a gorgeous jacket karcheer!

I really should wear my navy Stella one more often...

Longislandicetee · 05/01/2016 21:10

Hello! Mara was it you that was telling me that the service at Butberry is fantastic? I know what you mean. Was there today to size down my coat. Dh also asked me to get my scarf monogrammed yes dh because thatwill stop me losing itHmm Anyway service was fantastic. Very happy with my coat now which doesn't make me feel i am playing grown ups!

Next, I need to take a couple more links out of the watch. Dh told the SA that I have child like wrists and needed at least 3 links taken out. The SA said that she has child like wrists and I could not possibly be as slim as her so convinced dh to only take out 2 links. What a weird conversation!

I hope Onecat is doing well.

Blair I have loved your 2 work outfits this week, especially yesterday's. Would love to copy it given I have most of the accessories but polo necks just make my E cup norks look like G cupsGrin

Karcheer · 05/01/2016 21:11

linus I was shocked how well they fitted me! I'd never even bothered trying anything on in the store in Bicester.

I was hoping it would be a good 'autumn' basic but black, white and grey aren't autumn colours :/

MarshaBrady · 05/01/2016 21:13

Oh that's right autumn. Tricky! You can do cream is that right?

Blair how was work today?

Blingy good stuff all round

Karcheer · 05/01/2016 21:48

marsha yes cream I'm allowed

Drywhitethanks · 05/01/2016 22:21

I think I need this for my cruise

libertydoddle · 06/01/2016 00:13

Damn it dry! There are none left in my size Grin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 06/01/2016 00:16

it wasn't the best of news at the vets. indications are brain tumor. so yeah, not been the best of days if i'm being honest

bought myself an early birthday present of some 4160 tuesday perfume, i got babylon sunset and rome 1963, i got two because they were on sale so not as mad a splash of the cash as it could have been!

shopafrolic · 06/01/2016 08:06

Morning all - so sorry to hear the diagnosis of your cat One.
I am in desperate need of some new skinnies (as mentioned before), if anyone spots any Paige Verdugo ultra skinnies reduced in a 29 anywhere then please PM me. Thanks

LinusLovesBretons · 06/01/2016 09:40

I am so sorry one, that is horrible news. Poor onecat.

AmberNectarine · 06/01/2016 10:27

Oh one, I'm so sorry, how old is she? I'm fretting about taking my fur baby in on Monday to be neutered. Realistically I know he'll be find but my parents once had a cat die under anaesthetic (she was 17 so not quite the same) so I'm nervous. I am WFH and I can see him sitting on top of the garage trying to swipe at the birds as they fly past. Idiot SmileOur pets bring us such joy; its natural to love them like our babies. Look after yourself xx

Had somehow torn a muscle in my ribs (HOW?) so am at home today waiting for the badass painkillers to kick in. Need to be back on form for the weekend!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 06/01/2016 10:33

she's only 3 amber but the vet says it's likely she was born with the start of it and it's just grown and now here we are. I do love her like she's my actual child, i'm devastated but i guess we see how we get on in the next couple of weeks

FedupNagging · 06/01/2016 10:48

So sorry about Onecat - until we got a dog a few years ago I really couldn't understand peoples' attachment to their pets but I get it, entirely, now. Flowers for you One

I fell off the dry January wagon last night Blush, the cheese and biscuits needed polishing off and obviously a bottle glass of wine is needed to wash it all down!

Dry that skirt is very hula hula - how will you style it? Wink

I'm a tad hacked off today - both my hunter wellies and my admittedly cheap but hardwearing snow boots (Next) have both sprung a leak. I had not figured buying dog walking footwear into my sales budget.

I am wondering about a pair of Sorel boots - they might kill 2 birds with one stone. I like the carnival and the tivoli

Does anyone have a pair and what are they like sizing wise? - I may be able to get away with a kids pair!

Take it easy today Amber, can't have you curtailing your social life!

Karcheer · 06/01/2016 10:57

one poor onecat :(

fedup I'd be interested to hear which dog walking boots you get. I'm wrecking so many trainers at the mo in the mud and I nearly slipped A over T yesterday in the mud in the fields!

Karcheer · 06/01/2016 11:08

I've just been looking at the kids ones :) these are nice.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/01/2016 11:19

Oh One, huge hugs. So sorry. What are the next steps - a proper diagnosis? Perfume is a lovely thing to help, especially with a nice discount too.

Shop what colour Verdugos?

Karcheer what about khaki trousers, maybe jeans or cargo pants?

Thank you Blingy! It's funny isn't it, I am an F cup but I have a very long torso and a long neck so turtlenecks work on me (I think!?)

Today I am feeling a bit worse - considering asking if I can wfh tomorrow, never have before though - so I've gone comfy: Me+Em old style navy ruched dress, Zara chocolate cardigan belted with Mulberry tan waist belt, opaques and Clarks tan monk shoes.

More OOTDs please, don't want to feel self conscious Grin

shopafrolic · 06/01/2016 11:31

*Blair& dark blue or black ideally :)
My OOTD is black Paige verdurous (size 28) too tight Blush, grey vest top under purple Dagmar sweater and pistols. Accessorised with COS purple cashmere scarf - cold here......Wore my fab GAP slouchy jacket for the school run.
